For a low-cost lodging option, this place was great. Very clean, lovely front desk staff, coffee and tea 24-7, and a very nice free breakfast. I loved attention to little details like: each room placard has a different nature photo; there are lovely decorative sconces in the hallways; the front sitting room is neat and inviting; and the beds are comfortable, with soft, high-end sheets. So I was only here 1 night on a work trip 7/22-23 Got into the hotel around 6:30pm. There was an issue at check in where they needed a card from me but since it was a work trip I was not about to give them my card. So I called accounting and it got sorted. That wasn't a huge deal however I will say we paid for it online through their site with the same card they eventually got a picture of. They should have just been able to put a hold on the card that way like every other hotel in 2026. (Recently went on a different road trip and stayed at 3 different hotels including a choice in Wenatchee and none of them asked for my card). While I was sitting and waiting to check in the 2 men (blonde one and curly hair one) at the counter were gossiping loudly like little 13 year old girls about their coworkers, which ones they had issues with and which they didn't. And while gossiping is a bad habit that wasn't my main issue it's that they were doing it in front of me. All the while swearing and just being rude. 30 minutes go by and I had to approach them to get checked in again even though the accountant had sent info 28 minutes prior. And when I approached they said they knew and were waiting for me...I was literally sitting on the bench next to the desk waiting for them and was the only one other than them in the lobby. Ok so got checked in. Elevator was down. Room was nothing to write home about. But to be expected. The bed was comfy. Pillows were awful so bring your own. Breakfast was normal. As I was leaving the next morning again I hear people dropping f bombs in the lobby. This time it wasn't employees it was some service worker there maybe elevator tech. Either way they felt comfortable to do that which says something about the establishment they are working at. Don't recommend and I will stay somewhere else next time I'm in town read more

We stayed here in August of 2025. Chose it for the cheaper price. The pool area was all closed, I didn't know this ahead of time. The elevator was also out of order and it sounded like it'll never be fixed. I said I was fine with a bottom floor (down a set of stairs) room, but immediately regretted it. The room was musty and kind of humid feeling. The rooms and hotel is very outdated. I debated driving the extra 4 hours that night so I didn't have to stay there, but I didn't. We just spent the evening in Lithia Park. There was also a potato chip on the floor that we didn't put there, so a bit concerning on cleanliness. Only positive was the bed was comfortable, aside from feeling musty in the room. Breakfast was okay, nothing to write home about. Turning left out of the parking lot is also a nightmare! Did not feel safe here. The doorway to the building on the end was not locked even after 10pm. No security at all. The room had a smoke detector device that the previous guest had covered up. The clerk seemed angry and short with any responses. The carpet was frazzled like it was too warn out in the room. Basic no frills hotel located by the freeway in Ashland. Easily accessible. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly. Rooms include small refrigerator, microwave, TV and coffeemaker with a small assortment of coffee. They have a large inside pool and hot tub and I was informed it is available 24/7. They do have a pretty decent breakfast with a large variety of choices, but A small on site restaurant or grab n go would be a nice addition to their breakfast spread for late arrivals, as there are a couple of gas stations, one convenience store and a Dairy Queen nearby, but you have to cross the street to get to them and there are no crosswalks or designated crossing areas on a busy road that gets pretty dark at night. The hotel requires payment in advance which is fine. On the way to the hotel we had a medical emergency and the driver of our car was taken by ambulance to Crescent City as we were closer to Crescent City than to Ashland. The driver had a stroke and was admitted to the ICU. I called the hotel to explain why we weren't able to check in. They would not refund the room fee because I didn't let them know according to their refund policy. This was an extraordinary event that we couldn't foresee in advance. The right thing to do would have been to be compassionate and sympathetic to this and refund the room. I will not recommend this hotel. read more

The room was fine, bed comfortable, very clean room. but oh my goodness how inedible was the breakfast. "Eggs" were some sort of processed goop that tasted of chemicals and salt. Sausage was obviously some manufactured sludge formed in the shape of sausage. Baked goods dried out. Just stayed here one night and it was very, very nice. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bed is great. I don't know if I have a ADA accessible room or not but the walk-in shower is fabulous. Very clean, very quiet, very nice. I hope I get to stay here again. It was affordable as well and pet friendly, which was important since I was traveling with my McNab/Border Collie mix! Check-in was very pleasant and quick. Free breakfast. Gas stations and a Dairy Queen nearby made it a perfect! I recommend. read more

But when I was charged $285 for a one bed, which smelled like a musty old hotel room, which was no big deal until the morning when I went to use the toilet and shower and there was no water. I talked to the receptionist to complain and there was nothing he could/would do for me so l left my contact information and got the managers name and number expecting a call back which never happened. I was the one that had to call and follow up, I did get an apology for my inconvenience and for no call back. I was offered a small compensation which was an insult. We stopped at Comfort Inn during a road trip. It was a little bit concerning seeing that the swimming pool was open. But I think only a family was using it. The room was clean. The breakfast was very nice. Two options to choose from for the "main course" and a lot of other fruit, yogurt. The lady who was disturbing the breakfast was super nice. read more

If you need a place to stay in Ashland unlike the Comfort Inn in Kirkland WA, that I gave a negative review of this Comfort Inn was very clean the room was was very comfortable even though we were here for just one night on our way home back to San Jose California nothing but positives including being able to open the window that looked out over a beautiful colorful field with the mountains in the background. Ashland is nice little town wish we had more time to explore it. Look forward to returning and will happily book a reservation at this Comfort Inn. read more

I think 3 stars is the best I can give for this motel. Now the gal at the counter who took care of us, Trinity, well she alone deserves 5 stars. She was just so good at all parts of her job. The motel itself is nothing special and they really need to do something about the shower heads as the water comes out under too much pressure through too small holes and you feel like it is needles, it actually hurt. They offer complementary coffee as well as to-go bags with water, yogurt, pastries, a granola bar, and an apple. We only spent 1 night here just as a rest stop on our way to Seattle.... We had a dog-friendly room as we brought our Pembroke Welsh corgi puppy with us. First off, the comforter on the bed was dirty and had black fur on it..... I have a red and white corgi. There was fur on the dresser and desk and rugs.... I actually just stripped the bedding off and dumped it on the floor, so we slept on the sheet since that looked clean and fur-free. After spending all afternoon/evening out after having initially dropped off our luggage, I finally decided to lay in bed but..... 1. I became unbelievably ITCHY, everywhere. Like.... Breaking out in hives itchy. I was trying to look for any sort of bed bug or flea and couldn't see anything. Checked my corgi for fleas and she was also clear, plus she is on Simparica. No idea why, but both myself and my bf found ourselves scratching while in bed. Even took a peek under the fitted sheet... really wish I hadn't because the mattress was quite stained. 2. At midnight we finally decided to turn on the tv.... The remote didn't even work. We could power on the tv and adjust the volume but that was it. Arrow buttons didn't work, channel buttons didn't work. Nothing. Luckily we were only crashing here for one night and left first thing in the early morning so it really wasn't worth complaining to the staff during our stay, especially late at night when they probably wouldn't be able to do anything. *sigh* Lesson learned, might as well pay extra for a more comfortable accommodation. Otherwise, I probably would have been better off sleeping in my car for one night instead. read more

I am a choice hotels elite member and have stayed at many comfort inns. This one needs some TLC and a good overhaul to bring some life to it. Our room had a weird smell to it and the walls had gashes in them and the dead bolt lock was tore off.The beds were rock hard. The pool was huge and the hot tub felt good but the jets were broken. The front desk staff was very nice but the teen boy working the breakfast area was short and snappy with anyone who inquired about any food being put out. He had a just rolled out of bed appearance and was not very hygienic. He did not use gloves and touched the food. read more

My husband is a travel nurse, our family has been staying at Comfort Inn (in Ashland,OR off exit 14) for a few months now, one of the receptionists handed me a bag of things we had left behind on one of our stays with a printed out paper of our stay stapled to it, in the notes section of the paper was a comment made by someone at the front desk that says "wants to move to a suite after weekend if one is available. I despise these people." So if you want to stay somewhere that the hot tub is always under repair and the staff at the front desk despise you, and the Wi-Fi barely connects to anything, stay at this hotel. You will get a less than par service, the staff will treat you like garbage, and you won't be able to use the Wi-Fi. I would advise against staying here though. read more

Honestly just drive past this place and sleep in your car or another hotel. Oh, I was also extremely itchy all night and the sofa bed had human hair all over it. Pros: inexpensive rates, allowed my 2 big dogs with a low pet fee. There was a grassy area for the dogs. Plenty of parking, room was spacious. Staff was friendly. Did not notice any homeless encampments as noted in reviews for other area hotels. Cons: parking lot was not well lit. Room was very dated. Hotel info binder contained info for businesses that dissolved 10+ years ago. Breakfast was dismal. Not many options, but I attempted to get eggs, a muffin and 2 different flavors of yogurt. Both yogurts were 5 days expired, the muffin was stale, and there was hair in my eggs. These things aren't the end of the world, but the kicker for me was finding 3 ants in the room during our 12 hour stay. One in the bath tub and 2 on the bed. Kind of gross. Finding a safe place to stay that allows large dogs is challenging, and I don't have high expectations for lodging in southern Oregon, but I would probably make sure I've looked in to all other options before running back to a room with ants. read more

Stayed here in June 2021. First off the positives. The location is pretty convenient and straight off the highway. The room and rest of the building were pretty clean, breakfast was served in a convenient Covid friendly way. Now the cons. I was a little upset that when we arrived in our Non-smoking room it smelled strongly of weed. Especially after a long drive. The room we stayed in contained two beds and I decided to lay on one and my partner the other when we first arrived for rest. When I sat up to get off the bed, the entire mattress lifted up and I fell forward. Upon further inspection, one bed had a proper bed frame. The one I was on was dangerously stacked on a box of sorts, but the mattress was not at all secure. I found this to be dangerous, especially if one were to have an elderly family member or a child in the room. Last the walls were painfully thin. All morning a lady and her kids shouted for about an hour or two in the hallways with the kids running back and forth while we tried to sleep. It was so loud they might as well have been in the room with us. A little disappointing considering it was about 200 dollars. Edit: upon reading another guests review, I have removed a star. When my partner brought up the bed situation during check out he was told someone would look at it. It appears as if someone else had the exact same experience. This is dangerous and completely negligent. It appears as though they just say they'll check it out to get you out the door. Fix it! Before someone gets hurt!!! read more

Used our rewards points for this room and what a bargain for only 12,000 points!! 24 hour desk and indoor pool and spa. Our room was very a nice size and had a king sized bed and a jacuzzi tub. The tub was off on its own area not in the bathroom so that was pretty nice. Free hot breakfast included and they gave us a welcome package for being part of their frequent stay program (two waters and a few granola bars which come in handy on long drives). This place isn't in "town" so to speak but close enough for me since I'm driving through anyway. read more

Wish I could give this poor excuse for a hotel 0 stars. Had a flat tire while on the road and pulled in here while I waited for roadside assistance on my tire. While my flat tire was being replaced, I was accosted by a small stuck up man claiming to be the manager about "noise". Said noise was the air compressor filling up the replacement tire for all of 3 minutes. I tried to explain my situation to the small angry manager that I was obligated to call roadside as the U-haul was rented. He quickly demanded my room number to try to ban me from staying at the hotel ever again after threatening to make me pay for the rooms of other guests in the hotel (illegal?). Worst customer service experience I've had in my life, so bad that the tire repair guy commented he'd never seen anything like it in his 30 years on the job. The pony-tailed Reddit moderator neckbeard that "manages" this place deserves to be fired. He's actively driving away business from an already mediocre hotel. Pros: queen size beds are very comfortable. It's quiet at night for the most part. Cleaning ladies do a good job of making beds look neat. Pool area is nice and relaxing. Cons: First night, when needing extra blankets for the room I had to go up to the front desk to pick them up. When coming back, I spotted a garden snake right outside my hotel room and freaked out. There was only one person at the front desk. I went to ask fir help, and she said they don't have maintenance (strike 1). The snake disappeared and it wasn't helping the situation. She said they get snakes all the time if people leave the side doors open... (strike 2. Because you don't tell your guests that). After giving the front desk lady permission to turn my hotel room upside down, and didn't find the snake, she offered fir a free upgrade. After my parents and I proceeded to pack everything up quickly to go up four floors, we find out the elevator wasn't working and OF COURSE there's just the one lady working at night. She had to call a technician to come which was gonna take 30 minutes... mind you, it was already around 10pm. Eventually, she offered fir a different upgrade on the same floor. Luckily, there weren't any more snakes to be seen. Also, our toilet takes forever to flush and we were offered a plunger instead of an actual plumber helping us... (strike 3) And, if that wasn't enough, the lady who "helps" out during breakfast time wasn't very nice. Very rude actually. Urging guests to finish breakfast to make room for others who hadn't eaten yet. Plus, there's no air flow in there. Was probably higher than 80 degrees in the room. Bottom line is: if you're looking a simple, not perfect place with no high expectations to stay, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, don't even bother. read more

Was driving back (to WA) from a trip to California, looking at reviews for a good place, this looked perfect, This is my first hotel I wish I would have skipped.. we arrived about 1:00am I went to check in, desk person was extremely quiet, no biggie .. but was wow'd by all the compliments of everyone's front desk reviews, (not for us) got into our room, after signing a "no smoking" form the 2nd floor hallway smelt as though they had a local dealer inside . got situated ... no elevator to first floor? Got to listen to the the sound of the people above us showering and turning the water off and on through the pipes until about 2-3am (that was awful) almost got up to change rooms. About 4am our neighbors were rocking the bed for about an hour (no judging) but the first for me to hear in detail what was happening . THE WALLS ARE PAPERTHIN ! Had to go and get moved, got a new room easily at 5am with 2 kiddos sketchy people in parking lot.. if you have young kids and are a light sleeper, SKIP THIS HOTEL. After a few sleepless nights from our travels, my girlfriend and I found ourselves searching for a comfortable and quiet place to sleep as we began our slow trek back to California from Portland. We stumbled upon a Comfort Inn in Ashland that had great reviews. For a King-sized 1 bedroom, 2 adults, we paid $90. We slept so well that we decided to stay another night. The lady at the front desk, Tara, really helped us out. We told her about our lack of sleep, and she booked us on the top floor both nights. We were very pleased with our room as we were able to catch up on much-needed rest, and breakfast was also complimentary from 6-9:30 AM. This place was also a great location as we were only a few miles away from great food, a sea of coffee shops, and breathtaking wineries. We definitely recommend staying at this Comfort Inn in Ashland! read more

Maybe a blessing in disguise but after booking and confirming/paying for our reservation we arrived to find out they had "problems " and given our room to another guest. They did not have the room we booked and already paid for and offered a lesser room at no price adjustment. I was more shocked at how little the staff cared. The woman at the front desk was obviously irritated with me wanting the room I booked, not a lesser room for the same price. I suggested could even stay at a sister property if available, this was shut down without a thought. I am aware of extra pressure businesses are under due to current times. I stayed here for several days in October. The room was clean and the beds were newer and comfortable. A solid B. Our problem was with the front desk staff. The young woman checking us in was extremely indifferent and her attitude just got worse as things progressed. she pulled up the reservation and when she didn't understand what was going on she kept repeating that she didn't know and was unable to confirm that we would not have to change rooms when our group arrived the next day. We said please find out, to which she again acted like we were putting her out. After hearing our frustration a woman came out from the back and explained what was going on which was not complicated. What happened to being courteous and saying "I'm not sure, let me find out." After we got into the room my friend sat on the bed only to have it flip up in the air. Something was serious wrong. She called the front desk to be told they would call maintenance. What a ridiculous thing to say. Sure, after a 5 hour drive we are going to wait for maintenance. We went to be lobby and were given a new room. The second room was fine and the bed was stable. After being gone all day on our third day we came back and were unable to get into the side door. Our keys has been deactivated so we once again had to go to the front desk. We were asked when we were leaving. Maybe use that thing called a computer and run your reports before deactivating keys. Thank goodness they hadn't cleaned out our room while we were gone. Customer service - a solid D Most hotel chains have switched to less toxic cleaning products but this place certainly has not. The chemical smells ranged from Strong chlorine ( we were not near the pool) to other various stinky chemicals. If you are at all sensitive I'd skip this place. A mediocre motel, conveniently located off the freeway. Our room on the 2nd floor was clean but had a humid musty smell when we walked in, that we got used to after being in the room for a bit. Our window faced the freeway, but we did not notice any traffic noise. Furnishings were typical and in acceptable condition with nothing particularly bad, and nothing especially good. I know that motels are struggling as people resume travel as the Covid epidemic fades, but we were disappointed at the lack of attention to keeping things up and running properly. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub only to find it posted "out of service." Before retiring to bed, we went to the vending machines for a snack and drink. The snack machine was "out of order" and the Coke machine was posted with a sign that read, "sold out." The next morning, we were planning to have breakfast that was included with the room, but as we entered the breakfast area we saw a sign on the juice machine that said, "out of service." Enough is enough. We chose to go elsewhere for breakfast. The price for the room was about 20% cheaper than other nicer hotels in the area, so I guess we got what we paid for. She gave us a little welcome package which included water bottles,granola bars and some dog biscuits for our dog. The room was really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good.
