Combo #7. Beef burrito and cheese enchilada.

Pros: Food, service, value Cons: Not really a resturant, but they have a couple tables Details: I go here once in a while when I'm driving in the area. Its a small spot next to a gas station and kind of easy to miss. The inside is very basic with only a couple tables. They have a large menu and you get a lot of food for the price. The food is great, never had anything I didn't like. I especially like the chicken tacos and burritos. Worth it for resturant quality food at fast food prices.

Hate thinking of this spot as a "hole in the wall." Even though it's small and attached to a gas station, Rodolfo's makes some good food! I really like their carne asada fries 'cause of how loaded they make it, and I also appreciate their burritos. Not freakin' filled with more carbs like rice and beans, but filled with proteins (usually go for carnitas or carne asada) and a bit of garnish to provide more flavor. Love this spot for being what it is: a simple eatery with no frills cooked by a couple of nice individuals.

Dinner from a 76 station? You bet! We were craving Mexican food and the in house restaurant at the Silverton where we were staying had awful service, so we ventured out. Found this place on Yelp and when we got there, it was a little place next to a gas station mini mart. There were a couple tables inside, but we opted to get our food to go and eat in our room. Small, but clean. Two guys working, they were both very nice. The hubby had chicken enchiladas and I had a carne asada tostada and French fries. Good food. We also got chips and salsa. The pico de gallo type salsa was placed right on top of the chips, so unfortunately they were a bit soggy when we got back to the hotel. Good chips though and the salsa had a good flavor. They have fountain sodas and my Dr Pepper was great. Decent prices. Definitely recommend.

The food here is cheap yet delicious! It was super windy so we ate inside; the interior is small and tight with 3 tables. The max amount of chairs per table is 4 but we were able to grab another chair to place it beside the table. The food is cooked fresh from the grill/fryer so there's a little wait. They ask us if we want to add salsa verde or rojo once we get our plates. If you dine in, the plates are flimsy so be careful with holding them. Overall, was super full from our entrees and felt satisfied from the taste and flavors! A great way to celebrate cinco de mayo and have a quick fulfilling eat! Lots of takeout orders happen through phone and they're pretty busy! It's also super cool that they're open everyday and from 8am-12am. - free parking - affordable prices - .50 cent surcharge for credit cards

What in the bland ass is this food?? Geez I have never been so let down before. Looks and smelled so good but had no flavor. Even the salsa is runny and bland. I can't believe I spent $43 here. Got 8 chicken tacos, 2 tortas asada and a carne asada plate. I thought it was my taste bud but no I can taste my sprite I bought next door at the convenience store connected to it. I'm very disappointed and wish I could get my money back. I spent a $25 to Lyft there and back as well so that's $68 just for probably one of the worst Mexican food.

ANY QUESTIONS??? No - cause this tells you everything. THE BEST PERIOD.

9 years ago was my first review 5 Stars 7 years ago was my first update 5 Stars I'm back! Guess what, it's better than ever before! Nothing has changed. But the point I wanna stress is that this is not just authentic Mexican food, it's authentic California style Mexican food. They're still the kindest people I've ever met too. Sometimes this gringo is maybe too much over joyed, I try to express my humble feelings to them about how great their dishes are. I would love to say more but there's no need. I'm the first o review this place, I'll be the last. Trust me. This is the spot.

I've passed this spot for years and didn't even know this gem existed. It is tucked away in the back of a gas station and an oil change shop. Tiny store with a huge menu. Three small 4 top tables all fill with local families enjoying the foods. I ordered the Carne Asada Super Burrito. It's a two person shop, so there's a bit of a wait. No problem. My burrito was bomb! Just a mixture of flavors and nice charred steak. The tag line is "California-style." This burrito was better than any burrito I've ever had in Cali!

A word of warning, despite offering street tacos, this isn't really "fast" food, I stood in line for nearly an hour at lunchtime on a Friday. If you are alone, Get in the line that matches most of what you w nt. Better still if you are not alone is the divide and conquer system, each person getting in line for a meat you want. We ended up waiting in our cars with the AC on. But I have to say--the wait was completely worth it! The moment you walk inside, the atmosphere is so much fun. The restaurant is busy and lively, with great music, colorful decorations, and so many details inspired by El Chavo del Ocho. I grew up watching the show, so being here brought back so many childhood memories. There are paintings and decorations from the show everywhere--even the bathroom is decorated! Our family was seated in the Escuelita room, and we had an absolute blast. The waiters and staff are even dressed as characters from the show, and they play music from El Chavo del Ocho. It really feels like you've stepped into La Vecindad! Despite how busy the restaurant was, the customer service was great. Our waiter was friendly, patient, helpful, and gave us some excellent food recommendations. And the FOOD! Everything we tried was delicious and seasoned to perfection. The café de olla was amazing--not overly sweet and just perfect. The molcajete was delicious and HUGE; it is definitely large enough for two people to share. We also tried the carnitas plate and carne asada plate, and I highly recommend both. The portions are very generous, so come hungry! I attached a few photos of the restaurant and our food because there is so much to see and enjoy here. Overall, we had such a great experience. Friendly and fun staff, delicious food, great music, large portions, and an amazing nostalgic atmosphere. If you grew up watching El Chavo del Ocho, you'll appreciate this place even more. Highly recommend La Vecindad! We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back!
