Chips, salsa, and guacamole
Mike M.

This is my first time here at Southpoint, decided to go to Baja Miguel's for dinner. What a fantastic place that Service was top-notch. My wife decided to get the nachos and I got the chicken and steak fajitas. The food was fantastic. I can't believe the pricing here. I guess it used to be on the strip. It is well worth the trip to come out. Try the gambling and try the food. You will not be disappointed.

I haven't been here in a long time and went with a small group. When you sit down they bring you chips, salsa, beans & guacamole. It's unusual to get guacamole for free with your chips. I started with the Fideo soup which a lot of places don't have. It was a bowl which was a nice surprise and was really good. I had the chicken and steak fajitas and as You can see there is a good amount of meat a vegetables. I've had this lately in other places and they don't give you a lot of vegetables which to me is odd. I was at a different Mexican place a few days ago and had the fajitas and just no comparison, this place was amazing. The service was the best I've had anywhere lately. The glasses were never empty, we were checked up on often and we were not rushed. The prices are very reasonable and this is a place I will go back to more often than not. I'll take the drive because the food and prices are good. I had a margarita which was a decent size for only $7.25. Great price!!!! My sister had a Shrimp Dorado and another person in our party had seafood fajitas and everything was really good. We had a reservation for 5pm and it was not too crowded when we got there but by 6pm it was packed inside and out. I highly recommend this place, they do have a happy hour so make sure you make a reservation and enjoy great

The guac, sour cream, rice and refried beans

Eleven years since I last reviewed Baja Miguel's. 5 star review then - 5 star review now. Nothing has changed. We were there for a meal before a show. The restaurant honored our reservation for a crowded Friday night. Soon after we were seated, our server, Nayda, brought the chips and dip and got our drink orders. Service remained excellent throughout. The complimentary chips came with sides of guac, salsa, and refried beans - each very good. My wife and I decided to share the chicken fajitas ($26). It comes with 2 plates. One plate with the chicken, sliced peppers and onions. One plate with the guac, sour cream, refried beans, pico de gallo, and rice. Plus they brought extra tortillas because we were sharing. Huge portion that we couldn't finish (lunch tomorrow!!!) These are some of the best fajitas we have had anywhere (including some high end Mexican restaurants). Great service, really good food, fair prices. Definitely coming back again soon.

Great little place for Happy Hour. Conveniently located on property at South Point Casino. It was a little frustrating finding a table as many had reserved signs on them. One server said no worries you can sit there and when we did, we were redirected by another server. Drinks and starters are very responsibly priced. Chip and Salsa was outstanding. After the seating debacle we found the staff to be very friendly and attentive.

Food was really good and the prices are definitely fair. The staff are efficient and friendly and our meal came out pretty quickly. This is a great restaurant at the South Point that offers a hearty meal for small and large groups. Would definitely recommend a reservation.

I visited this place recently..the service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. The staff were friendly and attentive, and everything from being seated to getting our drinks felt smooth and welcoming. As for the food... it was just okay. Nothing really stood out. My California burrito and Danielle's Carnitas tacos were lacking a bit. They didn't taste bad, but it didn't leave me wanting to come back for the food alone. All in all, this is a decent spot if you value friendly, reliable service. But if you're looking for standout cuisine, I'd say it doesn't quite hit that mark.

If you're looking for Mexican food close to Las Vegas Boulevard or if you check in to South Point, Baja Miguel's is a great spot to go to. Once you go inside you feel like in Mexico because of the decorations and design of the wall. The food is amazing and it's huge, I couldn't finish it. I like everything we ordered but my favorites are birria tacos and chocolate leche flan. Customer service is amazing. One staff member refills the drinks and one person will come to ask if you need anything. For sure I will come back and bring my family and friends.

We went there because it was recommended to us by friends. Nice ambiance, we were seated quickly around 4:30 during a week day. Foods tasted good and portions are generous. Lucky we party of two didn't order appetizers since we couldn't finish the main course. We were served with on the house tortillas chips with 3 delicious dips. It's worth the price which is hard to find in Las Vegas these days. Recommend!

If you want great Mexican food and your in Las Vegas you need to go to the South Point Casino and find Baja Miguel's. The food is spot on perfect and the salsa is thick with a great flavor. They sell allot of margaritas i noticed and the food and drinks come fast. This is a family friendly restaurant. Service is very helpful and friendly.

Margarita meal deals menu

What an amazing find! Located on the second floor of South Point you will find a darn good Mexican restaurant. I came for their Margarita meal deal, which takes place Wednesday-Sunday 11-3:30pm. Free house margarita or soft drink with purchase of one of their five meal deals. I chose the Baja combo, one enchilada and taco with rice and beans($12.95) really solid meal The dips with chips were really good too. The bean dip was one of the best I've ever had. Salsa nice and chunky. Chips were great! I definitely recommend. You can't beat the deal. Solid meal. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Large open dining room Margarita was free so no complaints

Happy New year dinner here with my daughter and BF after bowling one night at the Southpoint casino. It wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Food was great and had a large portion, enough for next day's lunch for work! lol Staff was very friendly and attentive. They knew their stuff and answered the questions we had! Chips and salsa were a hit! keep em coming!! I'll be back again and again! :)

Bean dip, salsa and guacamole

Stopped in for Father's Day dinner. I had a reservation but they would not seat me until my entire party was present. The hostess was not too engaging. I was pleasantly greeted by our server and she was on point with refills of chips, dips and drinks even though the restaurant was super busy. It was a family friendly spot. All the food looked delicious but I ordered the beef flautas and pork tamales. I couldn't comment on the other dishes. No complaints from the rest of my family. The food was mediocre. The rice was too stiff and didn't seem that it wasn't cooked enough. The tamale was dry and the flautas were greasy. Not enough guacamole for the serving. Maybe I will return on not such a busy holiday.

this place is upstairs from the casino you take the elevator. It is lively excellent service. The food was very delicious and the ambience of this place was comforting. I ordered shrimp fajitas and a watermelon. Margarita, my companion order a beef burrito. We also had watermelon and strawberry margaritas that was very flavorful I highly recommend this place

Some things to consider: 1. The place has a cafeteria feel. I prefer a restaurant style, sit down, and have a waitress come to serve me. 2. No chips and salsa. 3. It was crowded when we went. It was probably about midnight on a Monday or Tuesday. I can only imagine how hectic it is on a weekend.

I tried the lime margarita, also excellent, and we couldn't leave without trying the churros for dessert. The ambience is lovely, with gorgeous decor, comfortable booths, and an excellent Hispanic music playlist. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. I really like the interior decor which is like a very contemporary and upscale Mexican. They have a variety of table and booth seating and a large bar. Our server, Hunter, was very friendly and attentive. He always ended every interaction with "have fun!" I tried the "el corazon" sangria which was delicious! It had a wonderful, warm flavor with a light hint of cinnamon yet it was still cold and refreshing! A cool tip - each drink comes with a little card with a symbol on it and the drink ingredients. Save this card! At each table is a game board of sorts that offers various prizes as you match the cards on the game board sort of like bingo. We really enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we tried the traditional guacamole with vegetables as well. The guacamole was wonderfully cool and creamy and flavorful. For my entree, I tried the chicken fajitas which is served on a steaming platter with various accompaniments. This was also very delicious, and the chicken was quite flavorful and juicy. A small side note - it was served with a cous cous of sort, but I think I would've preferred a simple Spanish rice. The chicken portion size also seemed a bit smaller than when we get fajitas at Chili's. I would recommend you get double meat if you want to share. We decided to try the chocolate flan and the fried ice cream sundae for dessert. I preferred the flavor of the flan and the unique textures of the flan which had the jiggly caramel flan part on top of a more cake like chocolate part below. I honestly think the fried ice cream was not too good. It did not taste freshly fried, and the coating was very dry and brittle and hard to eat. I prefer the places that serve the fried ice cream warm with a very bubbly crust that is both crunchy outside and a bit soft inside. This was not that. Overall, though, we really enjoyed the dining experience here! We will probably return and try their weekday "Fajitas and Ritas" special! I recommend Hola!
