They even have a small bar where you can order some alcoholic drinks.

First off, let me say that I am a huge fan of tacos, big tacos, street tacos, rolled tacos... Pretty much anything with taco in the name I am all about. So I was very excited to come to taco y taco. Walking into the place, it is beautifully decorated. In fact, I was a little bit taken aback at how beautiful the inside was. Just from the decor. It led me to believe that things would be a little bit pricey. When I was looking at the minions, street tacos were a little bit pricey at $3.15 perter for a small taco. But hey, if the meat is good and well portioned I cannot complain. I ordered two carne asada tacos with cilantro onions and cheese, and to carnitas tacos with cilantro, onions and cheese. Okay. I didn't want to go crazy on adding any salsa so I could really get the flavor of the meat. I got the order to go, so I sat and watched the restaurant operate. The people at the counter were very friendly, everyone seemed very nice and cordial and I watched as people came in ordered, gotta seat and had lunch. My taco showed up, and I came back home to have them. When I opened the foil on the paper plates, I was a little disappointed at the size of the tacos, but hey, they are street tacos so I figured what they lack in size they must make up for in taste. Well, let's just say that the size and flavor match was about the same. Honestly? It's pretty rare that I've had any Taco that I would rate at a three star. But I just have to say it as it is, the meat just wasn't flavorful. In fact, the cilantro and the onions had more flavor than the meat itself. Very sad, because I was expecting more. The second thing that was a bit distressing is not all of the tacos came with two tortillas. It's been my experience that street tacos normally have two tortillas for each Taco to add a little more structural support. Tacos did not have that and to that effect, one shell broke and I was left having to refold it and eat a very messy Taco. Very disappointing. I don't know if this was a money saving tactic or what. Bottom line? I don't think I'll ever come here again. It's sad because the place itself is very beautiful, and from a visual standpoint delivers a promise of an amazing meal. But falls short on the execution. There are plenty of other taco places in Las Vegas to go to that offer larger tacos for less money. And may I say I have more flavor. Bottom line? Within a half mile of this location are many other taco places that outshine this one. My hope is that they do some serious recipe changing and presentation changing to match the interior of the place.

The chicken sopes were so good I almost cried. Literally the only thing I don't love live is the rice surprisingly. Their avocado crema is also delish

Good tacos, not stellar. It's about a 3-3.5 spot. Got the Al pastor, carnitas, chicharon, and suadero. The best was the Al Pastor, the others were average. Guacamole was average, avocado was mixed with other stuff to dilute it. Not much flavor. Chipotle at least is mostly real avocados. Nice comfortable seating, nice salsa bar.

Recommended by a former coworker that lives locally, he has been deleted from my phone. The place is absolutely horrible. Ordered chips and salsa, the chips tasted like old fry oil, no salt, and the salsa was a Styrofoam cup of pico de gallo that had zero flavor. The burritos had flavor, but I couldn't tell you what it was. The tables all have the finish worn off of them. They're probably disgusting if you were to swab them and grow something in a petri dish. It's like a rundown Qdoba, I'd rather eat Taco Bell than go back here.

Overhyped garbage... there's like 60 people in line and one cashier takes forever to get your food and when you get it, it's cold. That was my first experience here I was stupid enough to come back because my coworkers wanted to try it. We spent $150 here. Everything was bagged up when they finally gave me the food 20 minutes after I arrived so I really had no chance to check it. I trusted them. soon as I got back to where I was going I realized they shorted me nine tacos... the food is mediocre. Salsas are pathetic, they charge for extra, and the sliced carrots are too acidic. I'm glad this place is taking traffic away from my other preferred taco spots!!! Not coming back

Taco Y Taco is a great place to straight up eat street tacos and drink beer. It has many varieties and it won't break the bank. Service is good, beers and tacos kept coming, and it hits for just a local place to take a load off ambience wise. If you like affordable tacos with all types of proteins (common and exotic) and cold beer then come here!

Rating: 3.6/5 [dine in] A friend recommended this spot, so we decided to check it out for dinner. They have a self-serve condiment and sauce bar which by the time we finished loading up on sauces, radish, and lime, our food was ready. Cochinita Pibil Sope ($6): This was my first time trying sope. It's a fried corn shell "sandwich" filled with cheese, your choice of protein, onion, cilantro, and salsa. The cochinita pibil is a tangy, slow-roasted pork. You can really taste the corn in the sope shell which changes the overall flavor. It was interesting to try, but I'm not sure if I would go for this combo again. Vampiro Al Pastor ($6): A vampiro is a fried corn tostada "sandwich" with cheese, your choice of protein, onion, cilantro, and salsa. The tostada was too crispy--borderline hard. The al pastor wasn't bad, but I prefer Taco El Gordo's version. Chicharron Street Taco ($3.25): Fried pork skin in green chile sauce. One of the best street tacos here.

Tacos are so good I tried the pastor and chicken for taco Tuesday 2.50 each and are super amazing. They do get busy so patients is key We also got 2 corns on the comb Mexican style and I didn't like it was too salty and as you see on the picture one was super old taste real bad compared to the other one. They do have a bar as well inside Little disappointed won't ever get the corn I'll stick to the tacos

TWO STARS -- Stylish spot, but the food and service missed the mark I really wanted to like Taco Y Taco. The vibe is genuinely great--dark, cozy lighting, fun decor, and plenty of comfortable seating. Unfortunately, that's where the highlights ended for me. I ordered the steak bowl, and the flavor was overwhelmingly salty. Not just a little heavy-handed--so salty that I couldn't even finish half of it. On top of that, the portion was surprisingly small for the price. For what I paid, I expected something more substantial and better balanced. Service was also a bit erratic. They use a number system to deliver food, but my number was taken away before the food ever arrived. That led to confusion and extra waiting on my end--definitely not ideal. With great ambiance but disappointing food, tiny portions, and service hiccups, I'm better off going to Café Rio or Rubio's. I won't be revisiting this spot.

Queso shell taco. Top is Al Pastor, bottom is tripas.
    Chrisjan Y.

I haven't been to Taco Y taco in long time and I heard they can make taco shells with all cheese. I had to try it! I got 1 al pastor and 1 tripas. The trick is to ask for queso taco shell tacos. Al pastor is my fav and goto order. This time I got tripas instead of carne asada. I'm glad I did cuz I forgot how good they were. The tripas is crunchy fried tripe. Both hit the spot! I could have ate 2 more. But I practice self control. Service was good. You go to cashier and order. They give you a number and a server brings you food. It's painless! Love the decorations and bar inside. It was clean and tidy to me. No problems at all! Thanks Taco Y Taco!

Tried the cabeza sope and the beef lengua street taco at Taco y Taco in Henderson and both were amazing. The flavors were super rich, everything was fresh, and the meats were so tender. I also loved how they gave so much meat. The prices are pretty fair too! I would def come back

Delicious food. Very authentic tacos. This place has ample seating with a full self service salsa bar with every salsa you could want as well as cocktails and various beers on tap. Great spot.

This location is not on the strip and was recommended to us to try for a taco spot. Parking was very easy and their restaurant was easy to find. When you walk in, it's like you walked into a mini fiesta! The music was of their culture and the food was delicious. I love elotes! This is the first taco establishment I've ever been to that had an elote. Not some fancy corn in a cup, but a true street elote. Their protein choices were very flavorful and their Mula was great! The service was very friendly and they have a self serve station for your sauces and toppings. They have some high tops and a lot of short tables. They have quite a bit of beers on tap, so that's nice too! If you're looking for a taco place, I highly recommend this place!

My absolute favorite thing on the menu was the sopa de fideo. This brought back many amazing memories of my mother's cooking. The view of the strip from the lower level was gorgeous. I suspect the nighttime view is even better. I can tell this is definitely a locals favorite. I was surprised they even had a few table top slot games near the bar. Staff was epicly friendly and kind. The food came out quickly. One of the members of our party had the Chile Colorado. They said it was not as spicey as it should be. I had a bite and the meat was a little harder than expected but flavoring was nice. Plus, I have never had it anywhere else. Overall a nice little lunch. I like to refer this place as "that big orange building on the hill". They take reservations; call the restaurant directly to make yours. It can get busy during peak hours, so if you can't find a parking space in the parking lot, you can park on the street along Carnegie and walk over, which is what we did. We made our reservation at around 7:30pm and arrived on time, but we had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for a table to open up. We got a table that had a great nighttime view of The Strip and other parts of the city. For drinks, I ordered a Raspberry Margarita on the rocks and my LTP ordered the Golden Road Mango Cart beer, a drink known to be very popular in other restaurants and bars these days. It did take a long while for both drinks to come out, but we passed the time by enjoying complimentary endless chips and dip. The dips were salsa and beans, but the salsa was incredibly spicy, so I stuck with the beans. Our food also took a while to come out - I think we waited about 10 minutes. A bowl of soup is offered with every meal. We shared a quesadilla appetizer (4), which was excellent and included a mix of sour cream and guacamole dip before moving on to the entrees. My eye caught the Torta (aka the Mexican sandwich) on the back of their menu, and I got this with grilled chicken breast as my choice of protein and fries on the side. The Torta was HUGE. It was really good and packed with sour cream and guacamole inside, but at the same time it was so big that I had to take the rest of it home with me. My LTP had the carne tacos, which were also huge and also had to take home with him. Service was a little slow, but the food and drinks were excellent. I also really enjoyed the view from our table.
