Then after the Firestone tire incident, we quit buying Fords because it took them so long to finally recall the tires. Then in 2016, my dad got a new Explorer and i was really impressed. My husband then got a F150 Lariat and I got a 2017 Explorer Limited. At 11K miles, the front tires on my Explorer started peeling. The tire place said I was driving on gravel but I never do. I took it to Ford and after a big fight with the tire company, they replaced those two tires with the same tire. I asked for a different brand but they said they couldn't, it had to be the same brand/tire. Then they rotated my tires and the other two tires peeled. It was during this that I noticed my dad's Explorer with 16K miles had 4 tires that peeled, he has all wheel drive. Also, we have completely different driving patterns, I'm driving on the highway to work at back, he's retired and driving in town to lunch and movies, etc. Also, my husband's F150 has twice as many miles, but he has Michelin tires and they look much better than mine. We took both Explorers to the Ford dealership and the best they could get out of Hankook was to replace them at 50% but with the same tire. So, we would each have to spend about $500 for inferior tires that will do the same thing. We shouldn't have to buy tires. Since I trade every 3 years, I never buy tires. When I talked to Hankook, she rudely told me she couldn't talk to me, only to a tire company or dealer. I told her I would have to file a complaint and she said she really didn't care. She was also rude with my dealer when he tried to explain that we had two vehicles with the same problem. There's a lot of issues on the internet with these tires, especially on the Explorer and I believe that Ford selected tires that were low bid and very inferior quality, not to mention that the tires aren't safe. They are Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 255/50R20. These tires were recalled in another size but i guess until someone dies, they won't recall this size.

I take pride in my vehicle and don't drive recklessly, so there is no excuse for this kind of wear and tear in such a short time. These rims are clearly cheap and poorly made. As a customer -- and more importantly, as someone who served this country -- I expected honesty and quality from a local business. Instead, I feel taken advantage of. I trusted this shop with my hard-earned money, and what I got in return was overpriced, low-quality products that didn't even last 60 days. I strongly urge others to think twice before spending their money here. If this is how they treat veterans, I can only imagine how they treat the average customer. I won't be coming back.

Since I don't drive much, I didn't notice until Tuesday that one tire had dropped to a pressure of 14, when it should be around 35. I had to go and refill it. Thinking I'd check in over the weekend, I was shocked by what I found. It was unbelievable--they insisted it was the car owner's fault and nothing to do with them. What a coincidence, right? So, within a week, I had to replace another tire and pay for it myself. My experience here was beyond disappointing. I had planned to replace four tires, but ended up replacing five. I won't be returning to this shop again. I'd strongly advise steering clear.

That professionalism was my first green flag. Mark handled the work on my car and went above and beyond my request. I asked for before-and-after photos to help me track carbon buildup for future maintenance, and not only did he deliver, he provided even more detail than expected. I was able to get my car towed to Casey's the following Monday (we used D&R Towing at the recommendation of the shop, and that was a great experience in and of itself, I left them a good review too. Thanks, Rich!) and my car was assessed the next day despite being told Wednesday-late Thursday was the soonest. I was in a pinch working an hour from home and needing the car back before noon today, but the crew got it in and sorted and had it back to me just shy of two days later! The price was as-quoted, no surprise fees or "other" issues that arose between my phone calls and arriving to pick the car up. I was also advised of some preventive maintenance to be done on my next oil change, but was told I can wait until then for that. Big thank you to Mike for being so communicative and transparent with the repairs and timeline, and Fausto (I think that's his name?) for providing an update on the repairs and giving me some good news yesterday (and not being totally annoyed when I frantically called for an update, haha.) I called them for an appointment as they were listed as open on here 24/7. They said they are taking appointments remotely where they drive to your house to repair your tires. After this I haven't heard anything regarding the agent being on his way for a repair. I just called my bank to cancel the transaction.
