I would give Eric ten stars if I could…read more My family and I found ourselves in a nightmare situation: our wheel bearing failed in Chicago traffic, halfway through a cross country road trip with two kids and a dog. A frantic Google led me to Eric. I called him and, unlike every other mechanic we reached out to, he took our emergency seriously, and assured us he'd look at our car right away when we got to him. True to his word, he had our car up on the lift within 15 minutes of our arrival, and brought us over to show us the (sadly very catastrophic and obvious) failure of our wheel bearing, and the other systems it had taken out with it. He gave us an itemized clear estimate, which identified a part he wasn't sure we'd need, and clearly laid out our best and worst case scenarios. His costs and timing were exactly as advertised. Thankfully we did not require the extra part, and he was honest about that. Eric was kind and friendly, got us the information we needed when we needed it (making extra phone calls to give us a clear timeline), and let all of us (including our dog!) hang out in his very nice clean waiting room. He had sodas, and a TV, so the kiddos were happy, and we were back on the road within 4 hours of our arrival which felt like a small miracle. Our car is running great. His costs were fair and reasonable. While he isn't immediately off the highway it was very easy to find him, and under 5 minutes' drive from 90. Highly, highly recommended! Bonus: he had some really cool cars he was working on, which we got to check out, and a display of vintage car parts that were fun to see.

From many of the ratings here , mine is the complete opposite. Having serviced my car here before…read morewith good results, I had my car towed here due to a gear shift malfunction that was stuck in park. Once at the auto shop, I explained my problem and was told I would be called with an update. During the 4 day ordeal, no one ever kept me updated. I always had to call to check in on the progress of my car. And at times since my car as a LoJack system, I would check to see at least if the car was being driven, which would mean to me some progress was being made. And at times since the car was driven, at one point 24 miles away from the shop, I assumed things were progressing well. But every time I did speak to the manager, he would say they needed to replace a part and then another one. While I accept this does happen in some cases, I became concerned when I was told they had to look at the wiring in my car and did I spill coffee in my car, which could have caused problems with my wiring in the car. First, I did not like the fact they accused me of spilling coffee in my car and possibly causing the issue with my car. I don't eat or drink in my car or allow others to do so. After 4 days of lack of communication and being accused of something I did not do, I was thinking of just towing my car to the dealership to fix. But what really sealed this decision was when I asked if the car was drivable and was told by the manager that my car never moved from the initial spot in the shop, which was impossible because I have snap shots of it at a park and other places over 24 minutes from the shop due to my LoJack system. Not trusting this auto shop anymore, I called a tow company and had my car towed to the nearest dealership. And to make matters worse, once the technician there looked at the car, he stated that one part Eric's replaced was disconnected and misaligned and had to eventually be replaced along with another part. Since the parts were just replaced I tried to get the correct itemized receipt with the part names and numbers and was told I could not have that and was sent a text with just the part name and numbers. When the dealership warranty department wanted it on an itemized statement, I had to literally argue with the manager and state it was against the law in Illinois not to supply me with the documentation needed to receive a warranty on the parts they replaced would it finally be submitted to me. I should not have had to go through this with anyone who I bring my business to. I was nothing but pleasant and professional with this business. And to be treated in such a demeaning manner. And on top of that charged almost 1800.00 on work that had to be completely redone again. This is not the five star business people make it out to be- not by a long shot.

Mark can work on his honesty. He quoted me a price on the phone so i sent the customer over, and…read morehe then changed the price for them completely taking advantage of them!!! I called him to ask why he charged more than what he said and he got very defensive saying that he had to work alot more than what he thought and that its 150 and hour because he has a certified shop. Well this is not the same quote he gave me when i first spoke to him. I would have never sent anybody over to him and will never do that mistake again. It was a simple fix and he turned it into a big job i guess so he can over charge i Dont recommend this place to anybody.

I consulted Yelp as I often do to look for a reliable and recommended provider of service. Saturday morning I called and spoke to Mark and I explained what was happening. He asked me a couple of questions and told me what he thought was the problem and an approximate cost to repair. I said I would be there Monday morning. I arrived Monday morning and they drove my car around a tiny bit to see what was happening. I received a call a few minutes later and they told me what needed to be done (front brake pads and rotors) and the cost (which was what I was told on Saturday). It's so nice to find a trustworthy automotive repair shop. Mark and his team did everything they said needed to be done at the price quoted. I highly recommend Roselle Service Center for any automotive repair needs!

Then after the Firestone tire incident, we quit buying Fords because it took them so long to finally recall the tires. Then in 2016, my dad got a new Explorer and i was really impressed. My husband then got a F150 Lariat and I got a 2017 Explorer Limited. At 11K miles, the front tires on my Explorer started peeling. The tire place said I was driving on gravel but I never do. I took it to Ford and after a big fight with the tire company, they replaced those two tires with the same tire. I asked for a different brand but they said they couldn't, it had to be the same brand/tire. Then they rotated my tires and the other two tires peeled. It was during this that I noticed my dad's Explorer with 16K miles had 4 tires that peeled, he has all wheel drive. Also, we have completely different driving patterns, I'm driving on the highway to work at back, he's retired and driving in town to lunch and movies, etc. Also, my husband's F150 has twice as many miles, but he has Michelin tires and they look much better than mine. We took both Explorers to the Ford dealership and the best they could get out of Hankook was to replace them at 50% but with the same tire. So, we would each have to spend about $500 for inferior tires that will do the same thing. We shouldn't have to buy tires. Since I trade every 3 years, I never buy tires. When I talked to Hankook, she rudely told me she couldn't talk to me, only to a tire company or dealer. I told her I would have to file a complaint and she said she really didn't care. She was also rude with my dealer when he tried to explain that we had two vehicles with the same problem. There's a lot of issues on the internet with these tires, especially on the Explorer and I believe that Ford selected tires that were low bid and very inferior quality, not to mention that the tires aren't safe. They are Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2 255/50R20. These tires were recalled in another size but i guess until someone dies, they won't recall this size.
