First time trying this place, and I was impressed! There was a wait to be seated, which is usually a good sign. The food was a fantastic price, and the food was good! I got a BLT, which came with a side. The service was great and there was live music as well. This restaurant was hopping, and I will be back! My husband was very happy with his order as well.

Back to Rodys after golf . I got the Boneless wings and fries . Delish! They have really good food and attentive wait staff .

If you haven't been to Rody's Tavern, I highly recommend a visit! Don't let the "tavern" portion of the name divert your enthusiasm. This local sports bar serves up some scrumptious eats! The service was quick and friendly - and the food was surprisingly delicious! I ordered the Red Goat Chicken sandwich and it was lovely. The chicken was grilled and seasoned perfectly, the creamy goat cheese offset the sweet/spicy pepper jelly too. I would definitely order this again! Oh yeah...and I got toys that did not disappoint!

A good night out with the guys. Wait staff pleasant and efficient. Standard tavern food items, nothing that stands out as unique. I got 2 items Tomato Bisque (so glad I got it flavorful and nice texture that has some grit to it. So stimulating). Also got the standard no frills cheeseburger. Filling as had plenty of beef patty (thick). Good enough taste but not a burger to crave. Not juicy or overly flavorful therefore giving it and therefore the place 3 stars as good but not great. Fun energizing environment good for beer specials, events around TV's and live music.

Haven't been in a while. Have always been less than impressed. Due to location, it worked out to eat here. Was definitely more impressed with service and food. Ambience is still a little loud for my taste for as early as we were there. I get it later with live music, but this was 5pm and we couldn't talk across the table. Will still return for a meal/drink when hanging out (not catching up) is the objective.

Great little spot! Went for lunch on a Saturday. They were very busy but able to accommodate the crowd. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. She brought out refills as needed. The food came out quickly and was correct. I got the red goat chicken sandwich with tots. It was very good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry! The hot pepper jelly made the sandwich. There was a bit too much goat cheese for my taste but that's me and it was still good. The tots were hot and crispy like they should be! All other dishes at the table looked great! Overall a great lunch!

Rody's isn't near my usual stomping grounds so I've never had a chance to go before this. Greensboro has a lack of decent sports bars so when we found ourselves with a free evening in this part of town, and a lot of games to watch, we were happy to head to Rody's. As a sports bar it didn't disappoint. We were able to get a seat at the bar so didn't have to wait despite the crowd and there seemed to be a lot of regulars which normally indicates a quality place. They had a ton of TV's showing every possible game or event on at the time and there seemed to be enough that you would be able to catch that game you were looking for. They had a nice beer selection and the bar drinks were good, if a little basic (which I think fits the setting so it's not a deal breaker). Our food was typically bar food but was quite good and came out shockingly quickly which was nice because we were pretty hungry. I don't know if I'll make my way this far north of town to visit but if I find myself in the area again, I won't be opposed to returning.

Services was good atmosphere was pretty good especially if you are looking to check out a game. Food can out fast so great to go grab lunch. I had the Reuben sandwich. It was really good. The bread was toasted perfectly. How sometimes you get your sandwich with the Reuben is soggy on the bottom usually as soon as I get my sandwich and flip it over to keep it from getting even more soggy is the little things, but the bread was nice on me The corn beef had great flavor. Had the tater tots with it nice and crispy on the outside wheel season

I've been here a few times, Savannah is always prompted with her service along with being helpful and kind. The menu has a variety of items in order to satisfy various people. Great Sports Bar atmosphere with live music on different days.

Awesome food! Got a to go lunch on a work from home day and it was quality. The Buffalo chicken wrap was amazing and the fries could have been a bit better but to go fries are never the best. They were slammed packed which is always a good sign. Staff was friendly and helped us get some extra sauces.

I have been eye balling Rody's Tavern for a while now, but just never got around to stopping in until recently. We came by for lunch on a Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. The restaurant was popping even at lunchtime! As you may expect their menu consists of general bar food, as it is a Sports Bar!!! We ordered the jalapeno ranch burger and the smash burger and Both were fresh and delicious. I will honestly say the food was better than I expected it to be. We will be back!

The food was exceptional except for one thing. Although the catfish crust was amazing and perfect texture, the catfish itself was really watery inside the breading. Other than that, it was all great! The loaded tots were also great. Forgot to take a pic BEFORE we started digging in but you can see the gist in the photo. They're so good! Well this last visit I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich again, (because it was so good the first time!), I don't know if they changed the chicken they use or what but the chicken had a snappy texture that no properly cooked chicken should ever have. I was immediately turned off and could not eat it. I'm hoping it was a one off experience and that next time will be better. All this said, we will be back again and hope for the best!

The hostess was on point with her estimate and also very quick to get us seated within the promised time frame. I also found out they offer reservations, so we will use that option loving forward. First of all-service was excellent. Our waiter came to the table within a moment of being seated to get started with waters and non-alcoholic options, and was quick to check back up on us and see if we were ready or had questions. He made several great recommendations on both food and drinks. My only caveat was that my 10 oz steak was a bit on the salty side, but this may be due to the aging process. It was cooked to a beautiful medium per my request, and both my sides (asparagus and loaded baked potato) were yummy, well cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband got a pasta with pancetta and caramelized onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Suggested wines were paired well with both entrees. We opted to get a few more drinks with dessert, and both were also very good. The bartenders are not stingy in their pours! We also split the butter cake for dessert and I will say that Paula Dean would have been proud of that cake. It was melt-in-your mouth richness paired with a slightly tangy fruit sauce, fresh berries and a tasty vanilla ice cream. The restaurant as a whole was well set up, with multiple types of seating and a large bar area. Decor was well placed and there was enough room to walk through without feeling crowded, despite how busy it was. We will absolutely be back!

We ordered drinks and an appetizer and they came out fairly quickly. The Korean BBQ Spring Rolls are very good! Now for the not so good part. We ordered the fish and chips to split- that was all we ordered after the appetizer and it took forever for our order to be brought to the table. We watched a couple tables around us, get their food before us, and they had been seated after us.. The server had to go back and check on our dish a couple times before it finally came out. I will say the fish and the chips were fabulous, but the corn was terrible and should probably not even be included on the dish. It was WAY overcooked and chewy. The coleslaw left quite a bit to be desired as well. No seasoning, no flavor and was just bland. When it says wasabi coleslaw, I am thinking it is going to have a little bit of a kick to it but nothing. They could definitely save themselves some money by eliminating the corn from this dish, make the coleslaw an option as an up charge and could lower the price on the dish in general or add a third piece of fish instead of the corn and coleslaw. We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.
