Wife had the grilled chicken plate. Met the owner today - Annie. Super sweet lady and had stopped to help with our table as they were busy. Give this place some support so you have it nearby. New family restaurant on the block. My husband went for dinner a few weeks ago and has been slightly obsessed since. We went for breakfast and they have a good selection. Very busy but staff handled it very well-very accommodating. Good cinnamon buns-I would recommend trying one. The rest of the food was ok...not great but it'll do the job. Bathrooms are not pristine but they were clean...I'm sure this is due to the heavy traffic the restaurant sees on a daily basis especially during the warmer months. Not being from the area, this was the first time I had been into Omega House. I didn't have incredibly high expectations, as it seems to be another small hole in the wall/diner type joint that has a slew of "regulars" and serves your basic meals. Upon entering, the waitress knew someone I was with and was super friendly and welcoming. She was right to the table getting our drink orders and buzzing around like a busy bee. Then, she came over to say goodbye and that her shift was over, that someone else would be taking over. This was a younger girl, and she was running the to-go orders, answering the phone, and waiting tables all at once. She overlooked one table for at least ten minutes and a man had to go find her to ask her to come take their order. She didn't bring things we asked for like refills on drinks and our food came out staggered a plate at a time. I don't think it was intentional, she just really struggled to handle it all on her own. Our food was fine. Typically "diner" food for this area. We had chicken tenders, fries, macaroni and cheese, and Texas toast. The chicken tenders were a true chicken tender, not that premade frozen mess you get at most places. This diner has great small town vibes. I had a sausage and egg biscuit. The biscuit was light and fluffy and the sausage and egg was cooked perfectly. My grits were perfect--add a little butter and sugar (I said what I said ) and they were even better. My daughter has the chicken and waffles. I'm never a fan of chicken fingers and waffles, but they were both cooked to perfection. The chicken was flavorful and moist. It was a challenge, but she managed to eat it all, except for the stingy bite she shared with me. She said she won on both quantity and quality...yes, but it was a tight race. This is the sister restaurant of the one on Peter's Creek Pkwy in Winston that has been in operation since the early '90s. The ownership changed in 2017, much of the menu was retained, as was the Southern diner ambiance with a bit of a Greek presence on that menu. This place opened a few months back in the spot that was occupied for years by several NC pork barbecue restaurants including Speedy Lohr's. Since the owners are Mexican a few Mexican dishes have been added to the menu. I came for a certain item on the menu - the Texas Burger - 8 oz patty, dressed as you wish, on Texas Toast - $10 with 1 side. I topped the tasty patty with cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, and mayo, and the toast is grilled. I choose hot chips as my side, to be accompanied by the house ranch dressing. Just horrible. Went by and noticed they weren't busy at 6:15 at night. Decided we'd try it since shouldn't be a wait. 1 couple finishing their meal when we walked in. Sat. Got drinks and picked out what we wanted to eat. I timed it we waited 15 minutes with menus closed for one to come take our order. Meanwhile watching them sit around and roll silverware and walk past us many times, mind you menus have been closed. Food come out and was just not even subpar. Dry okra, over cooked green beans, and the beef tips with rice was more liquid than anything (came in a bowl with spoon) my daughter took one bite and wouldn't eat anymore. This hidden gem is at the corner of Hwy150 and Enterprise Rd. I have been ther for breakfast, lunch and supper and they do not dissapoint. Sylvester and Kim always go out of theiway to make sure you have a satisfactory experience. Our waitress Ashley made sure that nothing was lacking. Their wings were delicious and plump and juicy, the Gyro was full of meat and in addition they offer Mexican dishes. I love their breakfasts, I usually choose the Savannah - eggs, meat and pancake or waffle. It is a large restaurant that is very comfortable and can fit a lot of people without feeling crowded.. It has become a go to place for my family and I. I only wish they would serve breakfast a little later. read more

I was impressed with the service, taste of food, variety of menu items and friendliness of the staff. This is an older place where other restaurants have been in the past, it has a small town, country feel. The food is very reasonably priced. We had breakfast and I ordered the recommended chicken biscuit. It was extremely tender, delicious and probably twice the size of fast food chicken biscuits. We will be back for breakfast and will also be trying the lunch and dinner options at some point in the near future. read more

I've tried this restaurant twice now. The first time was about a month ago & ate in the restaurant. I ordered the country style steak special with fried squash & mashed potatoes. The potatoes were cold, the squash was soggy & greasy & the steak was just not to my taste. Tried takeout next time & ordered the flounder with hush puppies, slaw & fried squash. I live 5 minutes away, so distance or warmth weren't a problem. The hush puppies were crumblie & over cooked, the cole slaw was sour tasting, the squash was even greasier & totally so soft they fell apart trying to eat them & the fish just had an odd taste. My stomach started hurting before I even finished my meal. Had planned on some family members meeting for breakfast but not sure I want to risk it. Afraid third time won't be a charm! read more
