I left the dealership an hour ago and was anxious to post about my experience with Sam and Rani and all the guys at Roesch. I initially went in a couple days ago to look at a couple cars. I knew exactly what I wanted and researched diligently online. My search brought me here. I told them up front that I would not be purchasing until the end of the week, which they totally respected without even a hint of pressuring me to buy that day. I did return and was just so appreciative of how they handled their business with me. I'm a single mom, came in with my 6yo son in tow. He was in heaven checking out every single car on the showroom floor, and the staff just let him go at it. They engaged him, talked to him, let him tag along when they went to put the new plates on our car, and one of the guys even gave him a set of LEGO markers that had been sitting in his desk for a year, just waiting for my son, apparently. LEGO markers -- so cool, didn't even know such a thing existed! So as I was finalizing the purchase of my car, my son was drawing the car interiors on blank pieces of paper, and several of the sales guys were sitting with him, and seemed to genuinely be enjoying talking cars with my 6yo. I was even more motivated to write this review, because earlier today I had an experience with an *unnamed* dealership, that was very typical of what a single woman would expect at a dealership -- lots of condescension and ogling. The superb customer service at Roesch (and lack thereof at this other place), was one of the deciding factors in my decision to purchase at Roesch. Kind, courteous, and totally respectful to not only me, but my 6yo as well. And my car (granted, I've owned it for an entire hour), feels totally solid, clean, and even slightly extravagant. Really disappointed in the customer service provided and sales managers excuses. Chris has been in contact with me for about 5-6 months regarding the purchase of a new car. He constantly called, texted and emailed during my work day, until I had to tell him I was not available while working. He then respected my work hours for the most part. I scheduled a test drive for 9am on a Saturday. Per the time they gave for availability. I arrived about 10 minutes early (the dealership opens at 8am), and it was empty. There was no one in sight. I stood there for a few minutes then texted Chris (at the same number he had been texting me from) to let him know I was there. I got no response. At about 9:03 all of the sale people walked out of their morning sales meeting. One sales person approached me and another customer and asked who we were waiting for. I replied that I was waiting for Chris and they looked around and said "I don't know where he is" and then helped the other customer. I continued to wait, a few minutes, then approached the counter and asked for a sales manager. The manager that helped me, apologized for his meeting running over, while speaking to him someone walked in the side door and into an office. It was Chris, clearly he wasn't at the sales meeting either. I expressed my displeasure with their customer service given that Chris wasn't at the sales meeting, and was late to meeting a customer showing a lack of concern for my time. I shared that I was uninterested in making a large investment given their lack of care and concern and walked out. Further asking them to remove my name/number from 5their contact list and to never contact me again. Further the other customer that I was able to speak with while Chris was late shared that she had no a bad experience with them and referred me to another dealership. Had Chris been on time, I likely would not have had that conversation. read more

Due to the size of my husband's truck (F350) we are required to go to the commercial truck center. It's his personal truck but we have to go to the same place as commercial vehicles. We get coupons in the mail that say F350 and the truck center refuses to take them. We try to go to the dealer and they say they can't work on it because the truck center will get mad. Guess what? Now we are changing dealers all together. We had an appointment for Monday and it's Wednesday night and they haven't even looked at the truck yet. What's the point of an appointment if you're not going to look at it for 3 days? They told US to call around noon tomorrow and they'll let us know if they'll be able to look at it. How unprofessional. I also called the service manager at the main dealership on Monday night to ask why they're sending coupons we can't use and he didn't even return my call. I live in Elmhurst so I like to shop in Elmhurst but I'll be driving to neighboring suburbs for service, for an automobile purchase, for anything, just to avoid any business that says Larry Roesch on it. Beware of price!!!! Always have taken my F150 here for routine oil changes because it's convenient for work, but NEVER again. Had rear brakes pads and rotors replaced along with 60k mile service which I agreed to not thinking I was getting hosed. Called around to other Ford dealers in the area to see confirm prices were in line only to find out each line item was 30%-50% more expensive... Buyer beware I should have saved $600 on this at local Ford dealers and when I asked they came up with some bs around labor and tax rates...I get maybe a slight change of a couple percentage points, but something within 10-15 miles of each other shouldn't have swings that high. Shame on Ford for allowing this. read more

Went in after internet search and was helped out by Nick Petrasz after asking what I was looking for which was an suv he showed me a couple that i was interested in, finally going into filling paperwork Ray Reynolds the sales manager honestly didn't like much his style on how he switched a couple things up and seemingly forgot to mention them until the end as I was going over some of the paperwork, in the end, I was really glad to have run into Bill Cranley the finance director if it wasn't for him taking his time to throughly go thru all the paperwork out twice! I think I would have walked away he managed to work some magic and I am happy with the outcome could have been better but because of my situation I think he was honest and straightforward! Will be back to do business with them but hope to just speak to bill so he can set up right from the start! read more

My husband and I purchase a 2018 Ford F150 on November 13, 2018. Before we even picked up the vehicle the dealership did the old bait and switch with the price of the vehicle...but my husband was persistent and really wanted this truck and didn't walk away. My husband picked up the vehicle late in the evening and didn't look everything over to right away. The following day we noticed several things wrong with the vehicle. 1) The buttons on the entire dashboard for the radio didn't work. We could only change the radio by one knob on the dash. 2) the Ecoboost engine feature option did not work for me to shut the mechanism off 3) the four wheel drive makes a loud clunking winding noise 4) there is a rattling noise coming from somewhere near the front 5) the vehicle also seems to be tugging to the right when the wheel is straight 6) the vehicle only seems to be getting a really low gas mileage from what listed 7) the rear differential is leaking My husband immediately called the dealership and notified them the following day. They scheduled him for an appointment the following week but we were really annoyed that we took the vehicle in 11/17/2018. Someone in the service department looked over the vehicle and they assured us everything would be taken care of. Currently we have dropped off/picked up our vehicle for repairs to Roesch Ford in Bensenville, IL now a total of 10 times....that is 2 whole hours round trip everytime!! That does not include the time we had to sit and wait. I also want to mention several times that they called us to pick up the vehicle....nothing was ever repaired and we wasted time driving 2+ hours to pick up the same vehicle with repairs not done. Needless to say we have had it with this lemon that is supposed to be nearly new. We're tired of getting the run around with this dealership and the service department when this vehicle is still under warranty. Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE!!!!!! 3 MONTHS FOR A TRANS SENSOR AND NOTHING BUT LIES, LIES, LIES. I was having transmission problems with my vehicle and after calling several dealerships in the area who said it would be a 2 week wait time I found Roesch Ford. They said they would be able to take it right away...Great. I had my vehicle towed over there that day NOT knowing that it would be 3 months later before my vehicle would be returned. Initially, they said they will have it ready to go the following week. After a week I reach out to them and that's when the excuses started. I heard every excuse week after week...Wrong parts, employees on strike, waiting on more parts. 2 months later eventually I got in touch with a tech who was straight up honest who said no one has even touched it from the day it was dropped off. He said that he would personally take care of it...1 month later still no truck but plenty of the same excuses. I decided to reach out to Ford Corporate about the issue and coincidentally the next day I received a call that my vehicle was running but still needed to fix one minor thing and that I would have it the next morning. The next morning I get a call that my vehicle is ready to pick up after 3 MONTHS. I got there to pick it up and its filthy dirty...not even a darn car wash for all I went through. To sum it all it up DO NOT GO HERE!! They are the slimball salesmen that you imagine when going to a car dealership. read more

I get my oil changed and have regular 5,000-mile maintenance performed by the service department at Roesch Ford. While they do good work, this particular service department is one of the slowest I've encountered. The staff is friendly and they have been able to diagnose/fix any issues I've had, but it always comes with a significant period of me being car-less. I'm used to much quicker turnaround- when I lived in Michigan and frequented a Ford dealership in Livonia, the longest I went without a car was 36 hours- Whereas I'm currently on Day 4 of having no car. I should mention that this was a scheduled appointment- which was rescheduled by the service department three times, resulting in a delay of more than three weeks. Normally I wouldn't mind, but the issue was with my transmission, which made me question the safety of the additional three weeks of driving it without service. What is especially frustrating is the complete lack of updates regarding the work. They have had my car for 4 days and I haven't been called once. They shouldn't be doing any work without my express permission, especially since I do understand cars and the work that needs to be done. The absolute deadline I gave was Friday, tomorrow, so I will edit this draft tomorrow when I hopefully - but doubtfully- get my car back. Ok- update: I got my car Thursday evening, so everything turned out all right, but I'm still not thrilled with the lack of communication during the process. Also, everything was covered under my warranty, so no out-of-pocket costs. Just the cost to my sanity and stress levels. read more

They said they have to charge my one 1/2 hour at $65! Its a Ford Crown Vic. I went across the street to the Buick dealership and they said "yeah sure man". And asked if I wanted a cup of coffee!!!!! I wasn't going to write a review, but they emailed, called, left a voicemail, and even TEXTED me begging for feedback after using their service dept. The service was good. Easy to schedule online, fairly quick, friendly, and my car seems to be all fixed. 5-stars! You pay for that service though... It's $125 to even lift your hood (goes towards cost of repairs). When the estimate came I was annoyed at the high price, but had already committed $125... When I mentioned that I could go elsewhere and save a couple hundred he immediately offered a 10% discount. Be sure to ask for a discount!! Lastly, the reason I'm writing this review--their "Customer Relations Dept" is obnoxious!! Harassing me about my experience does not make me more likely to write a positive review. read more

Went to the dealership to test drive the mustang with ecoboost engine. The guy at the sales desk flat out said "NO... you can't". Initially i though he was kidding or perhaps they don't have that particular model in stock... But apparently that was not the case.. This particular ford dealership does not allow anyone to test drive without a credit check and negotiating a deal on a lot of their vehicles. We test drove both the Mercedes cla and Audi A3 earlier without any issues and those cars were both more expensive than the mustang. I don't understand how this dealership sells cars by treating it's customers as someone looking to take a joyride. Needless to say, we walked away. If this is how the people at welcome desk is, I could only imagine how their sales and service teams are. read more

They made it right! Roesch has once again shown us they want to keep us coming back as customers. This is an update to my earlier review. My three stars just went to a five+. This past weekend we bought a certified low-mile used Limited edition Explorer. The next day, in the daylight, we noticed how dirty the car was...gum under the floor mat on the driver side, dirty cup holders, and carpets that weren't fully vacuumed. After we called the dealer to explain the situation, the GM, Mike, told us to come out and he'd take care of us. After they tried one more time and we got the car home, we realized they had only taken care of a couple of things, and it seemed like they barely did anything. Receiving a follow up call by Dave, our salesman, to discuss our satisfaction, we told him we were still not satisfied and that the car wasn't fully detailed. Wanting to make it right, they offered to drive to our house to pick up the car, leave us a loaner, and bring back the car when it was completed. We really appreciated the offer, but my hubby decided we should handle the situation in person to make sure we didn't have to drive back yet again. After going out one last time, the car was dropped off, a loaner was picked up, and we were given a specific time to come back for the final pick up. When my hubby went for the pick up, Mike asked for a little extra time because he felt the completed job didn't meet his standards, and he asked his guys to give it another round of detailing. Finally, the car looks fabulous, they gave us new mats, and I can honestly say they took the car beyond our expectations. Thanks guys for making it right. read more

Very very poor service department. A big indication of the rest of the happenings in this dealership. The ownership must promote bad business within. They have a rotating door of employees quitting because they run an awful business. So far this is the worst dealership I have dealt with ever. I see the same canned response from them on every bad review and nothing changes. A bonus to know about this place: when you call the service dept, the person you will talk to will complain about the place too and the fact that employees come and go all the time and leave people hanging. The actual dealership and cashiers are great. They get 5 stars but this review is about the service department. My 3 year old Ford Escape which is still under warranty wasn't starting. I had to jump it multiple times a day. I took my car to auto zone they said it was not my battery. So I took it to Ford and said that it wasn't my battery. They tell me it is and replace the battery. Today in this snow storm, my car won't start. Even jumping it won't work. It wasn't my battery! So now I'm stranded in this blizzard with a car that won't work and no way to get to work. I am very unhappy and the owner is going to hear about it in the morning! This isn't the first time I've had shifty service either. Buy your car from ford, but don't get it fixed by ford. read more

I was way over due for an oil change for my Pony. I called the night before and asked if I needed to make an appointment and the woman I talked to said- No, at that time of day (that I wanted to bring my car in) there would be no wait. Hmmmmmm. But hey she was right! I hate getting anything done with cars so I was a little stressed pulling into the garage...but I was warmly greeted, shown to their really pretty decent sitting area, offered a coffee and quickly entered into their computer system. There was decent reading materials and a large flat screen tv to help while away the minutes. My rear tail light is cracked and they gave me an estimate on fixing it, thank you thank you for not being pushy about it or reading me the doom and gloom act if I don't do something about it immediately. Work was finished by the time they stated (They even gave her a wash) and I was on my way. To bad it was raining and there was no sunset to ride off into.... read more

After my review I received a call from the sales manager from Larry Roesch Ford who couldn't of been nicer and said those 2 little words that very few people say now days and that is "I'm sorry". He explained they went through some staff changes recently and took responsibility for what happened we ended up talking for awhile and having some laughs and he offered to make the situation right. We bought a 2013 Ford Focus thru Roesch Feb 2013 and it was an AMAZING experience and we said we would continue to come back if we needed/wanted to purchase another vehicle. Both our sales man and finance guy were great! We continued for the past 2 years to still bring the Focus here for service & oil changes and never had any issues. We live in Elgin so this is a farther drive than one would like to take, but we felt so comfortable with them, we never wanted to go to another Ford dealership : ) Our family grew this year and while the Focus was a great car, we seemed to outgrow the vehicle for our family -- We were interested in the 2015 Ford Fusion S I spoke to Jeannette this morning right after they opened; She was very friendly and willing to help - I explained we had a newborn, we lived in Elgin, we were working on credit over the years so we didn't want our credit to be ran (yet) but instead to go over all details over the phone first to SEE if this could even work for all of us (Ford and ourselves) before we all wasted each other's time. She was very accommodating, helpful, professional and she listened : ) She said she would speak to the finance dept when they got in at 11 am then call me back. She called me back around noon and after speaking for about 20 min going over all details (to ensure we were both on the same page), it seemed like a great fit! We walked in right before 4 pm and Jeannette was ready with all our info and worked with finance & managers before we even came in : ) Awesome! She handed us over to Lee our salesman and let me tell you, is seriously a sweet man! So reserved and laid back and NOT pushy; He cares and listens to what you want and need and he did a great job helping get us what we needed, wanted & could afford. Helena in financing.... Oh my lord. This woman is hysterical, sweet and an awesome person to work with! She was WONDERFUL and treats you like family. She made things happen and she made it happen fast as we were on a tight time schedule to get out; She asked us our cut off time (7 pm) and all was done with the new car ready at 645 pm! While removing my 2016 Cubs World Champs license plate cover, it unfortunately broke. Sam immediately ordered a new one at no cost to myself to make sure I was whole with the vehicle transition. I brought my car into the Roesch service department and met Kyle Haas. The technicians figured out after a couple attempts that my car had a rare mis-build from the factory. My adaptive cruise control was never installed. It did take some time to correct my problem but Kyle was determined to make sure I was taken care of and that the would be given back to me in perfect working condition. With the Help of Fred Seng and other managers. Kyle was able to give me the car back in perfect working condition as promised. I want to personally Thank Kyle, Fred and everyone else who helped me with this. I actually bought my vehicle at a dealer further away and Roesch was my closest service dealer. The service was great! I used the Progressive Truecar service: (https://progressive.truecar.com/main.html?referrer_id=ZPROT00101) in order to find a Black 2013 Nissan Altima. There were three dealerships in the Chicagoland area that had this car as part of their inventory. They were in Bensenville, Evanston, and Lombard. I e-mailed all three dealerships to confirm that the vehicle was available. Roesch Ford in Bensenville was the only dealership that contacted me. I scheduled an appointment with Theresa Davis for a test drive. Upon arrival, I met their GM Sam and he directed me to George Greko. He was very cordial and answered all the questions that I had. I ended up financing the vehicle at 2.84% with GAP insurance. The entire transaction was over in about 1 1/2 hours. Later on that evening, the service engine light was on and I ended up going to an Autozone to find out what the issue was. They told me it was error: P0101 (Mass Air Flow (MAF)) I called George and left him a VM and he called me first thing Monday morning. I was advised to take the car in for servicing. I went in that afternoon and I spoke with Robert. A few hours later, Robert confirmed that it was an issue with the air filter (which affected the MAF). The filter was replaced and the car is back to normal. Overall, the staff is prompt, courteous, and very professional. I will definitely be referring friends and family here. read more

This dealership was the WORST from the time of purchase thru the end of my warranty. The sales person did not know what he was doing, period. A new vehicle cash sale with no negotiation took 1/2 a day to complete (that sales person apparently did not last long). The work in the service is slow, appointment times mean absolutely nothing and the only reason I visited was for work covered under warranty. Even if this place has the EXACT vehicle I'm looking to purchase next time, I will go elsewhere and have them get it. read more

Worked with Mike Madison to buy a car. He was extremely nice, very knowledgeable, and not pushy. He showed us used and new options and we weren't pushed either way. I think that everyone here was extremely nice, we even had a wonderful experience working with Bob Coleman the service manager to get remote start installed on the car. Check engine light on a 2012 Ford Escape .. was not on when we got to the dealership (we came to the conclusion it was a bad batch of gas), but they freaked out saying the car leaked and how it needed $1500 worth of work. .. we never had any leaks with the car, short-story it was the a/c condensation (duh!?). The vehicle of my interest was ready and waiting for me when I got there. We drove it fell in love and then boom we got it. I went to Roesch Ford with reviews from CarGurus and CarFax with the used 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid Platinum I was looking for. However they didn't have the Platinum in stock, they only had a Titanium. I test drove it... loved the car... then I compared their price with the price from another Ford dealership (which was cheaper). I told them if they matched the price of the car from the other dealership I would buy the car today. They came within a couple hundred dollars of the price (I preferred the color of the vehicle here, as opposed to the other one), and I bought the car that day. SAM Mellenthin was the sales rep. Bought a 2015 Escape from Roesch. Warranty was running out and I noticed bubbling paint and rust on all four doors, hood and tailgate. Rust was on seams inside where I had not noticed before. Stopped by and service advisor and body shop person looked. Body shop person said he had not seen it this bad on 10 year old cars. They took pictures and said they would contact Ford and let me know. After 30 days of hearing from nobody, I stopped by. No record of me being there before and was told the 2 people I dealt with no longer there. New service advisor took a look and called the service manger over. Another advisor also came over and took a look and said it was the worst he had ever seen and it was going to cost Ford a lot of money to fix. Service manger took a long look and said that due to the extent of rust they would need to confirm the car was not a FLOOD VEHICLE because that would void the warranty. I looked at him and said I had bought the car new from them. He looked back and said "It is not illegal to sell a flood vehicle." Very poor response. I am now researching history of the car. He then had me wait while they looked at the computer and printed out a page from the warranty that rust was only covered if there is a perforation in the metal. At this point I am done with Ford and Roesch. Be careful. read more

Very disappointing experience here. 1. I made an appointment to come in and do the paperwork for the purchase of the car, called ahead to make sure I had all the documentation I would need, and ended up waiting 90 minutes to spend 10 minutes signing papers. 2. The mileage reported in the contract was/is incorrect by 400 miles. I've requested an amended contract twice, and have still not received any updates. That mileage is very high for a new a car. I reported this error to the BBB as a potential scam. 3. The car was misrepresented as having the ability to open the back hatch from the driver's seat, as well as using the key FOB. Neither of those options are viable. I spend 2 hours in the Service department expecting to have the key FOB reprogrammed, only to be told that the I was given the wrong key FOB for the car I purchased. I have to manually open the back hatch every time I want to open it. I reported this error to the BBB as a potential scam. 4. New keys are ordered for me, although once I get there, Robert informs me that he needs to make sure the key FOB are really there as the Parts Department is unreliable. Later he blamed the delay on a misfiled ticket. Then, while I'm waiting to have the key reprogrammed, clearly working (head down in my laptop typing) the service manager asks me to watch another customer's computer and briefcase while he answers some questions on the service floor. Seriously!? Then when I asked Robert for the paperwork, he said he would snail - mail it to me. Given the response time I've had on the other issues, I asked for the paperwork immediately. He was very frustrated that he had to print out the service order. Not at all the customer service Roesch seems to believe they offer. I feel the dealership misrepresented the car so I would buy it. The salesman has not offered to make amends for misrepresenting the features of the car or even an apology for any of the time I've wasted trying to get resolution. read more

The management of this place horrible to say the least. I called from out of state recently trying to negotiate a few hundred dollars off the price of a almost a $40,000 car that i would be flying in to pick up and driving back to the east cost. After talking with the salesman Remik, who was nothing short of excellent and very very knowledgeable of the vehicle I was interested in. He came to an understanding what I was looking to do, and said he would call me back after speaking with the manager/owner. When the days end neared I haven't received phone call, but I called him back. He told me that the owner/manager did not want to take off what asked(approximately$850) and not only that, he didn't want to counter anything at all, as a matter of fact Remik was instructed to tell me from the owner/manager that he was RAISING the price tomorrow(LOL) and that there is a reason why I'm calling from such a distance to purchase this car. CASH mite I add. The moral of the story is that the owner/manager appears to just have gotten into making deals/negotiating l/sales, because coming from a New York City Real Estate Sales back round myself this is not to way to make a sale to a very motivated cash buyer, Deposit ready! This place did me so bogus. I went in for an oil change, and they came back and told me they couldn't give me my car back unless I paid $400 for some stuff they "found" during an inspection that was not requested. I spoke to everybody there and it wasn't until I walked across the lot to Roesch VOLKSWAGON that I was able to get my car back. They literally had to go request my car, drive it over, and put parts back into my car so that I could get my car back. I would NEVER EVER do any business with Roesch ford or whoever their service department is again in my life. They were awful. read more

Read these Yelp Reviews before going to Roesch Ford. Roesch Ford is THE WORSE Auto & Customer Service I have ever received in 50 years. I made the Horrible Mistake of taking my Ford vehicle here for service without reading the Yelp Reviews first. The Bad Service & reviews on Yelp going back 3-4 years continues in the New Year 2017. Set your expectations extremely low. If you expect to be treated like an idiot you will not be disappointed. Do Not expect getting your car back until this Dysfunctional Dealer is finished. I too waited one week for an early AM Appt. Late in the afternoon they called to say they had not started working on my car, yet. Like watching a simplistic B grade movie, I told Roesch I was not interested in when they "started" the work but rather I wanted assurance on what day they would "Finish". When I questioned what their problem was they said, "You cannot expect us to actually start work on your car the same day as your Appt". Huh, Really?? Wow !! Roesch Ford has literally redefined the Auto Dealer Industry Std for a Sevice Appt. Turns out your Service Appt day & time is when you sign the Roesch paperwork Authorizing Service. Thereafter excuses for the dysfunctional Owner started-short handed today, last week, last month and before that; our phones do not work (year 3); cold weather, short handed (Owner chose to break his Union shop 11-16), we are Negotiating with our Service Mgr for a mechanic to work on you car, Ford Factory Parts computer broke down, Ford Whs did not ship the parts, we do not "talk to" the Service Mgr (?), whose Don Roesch (the owner), why would a Customer call Don Roesch, he never calls anyone back. After this horrific experience the Roesch Customer Care Rep contacted me, clueless. What are Best Industry Practices ?
