I wish I could give them 0 stars. This place is a joke! My husband bought a one year old Ford Explorer. It had some damage on the front bumper. My husband said he would buy the car once the repair was made. His salesman Russ, insisted they needed his pickup trade in asap and that the Explorer would get scheduled for repair first thing Monday morning. Well, we called for 3-4 weeks! No call back!!!!!! Finally my husband went it and all of a sudden there "guy" was going to be able to repair it. The car was in for 1 day which we thought was odd. So the next day when he went to pick it up, it was NOT REPAIRED AS IN OUR PURCHASE AGREEMENT. They literally put black paint on a few spots. It is not even the same color black!!!! After several calls and emails. No one responds. It is unbelievable . I complained on Facebook and called the GM. Not one call back. What the hell is wrong with this place???? Go buy a car anywhere but here. We have bought several cars and NEVER experienced anything like this. I will be contacting the BBB and States Attorney. read more

The service department is awful. If there was a way to give zero stars on Yelp, Roesch Ford Service Department would deserve it based on my recent experience. I made an appointment on their website for a Saturday morning to have the radio checked on my Explorer. I arrived approx 30 minutes ahead of the appointment i set up and thy knew nothing about it and told me they couldn't look at it and to come back on Monday. Wife and I both work M-F so this wasn't an option but he acted like he could not care less. My questions about what happened with my appointment and how can I get this done during a weekend were ignored. I would never recommend this dealer for either service or even sales knowing how they treat customers. Awful, awful, awful service! read more

I dropped my vehicle off at this establishment on 11/14/16 due to a transmission failure. Today is 2/3/17 and I finally got my vehicle back. The 10 weeks between was met with very little communication from this establishment. When I called them they would tell me the car was being analyzed one day and then if I called a week later someone else would tell me the car was not even looked at. The only reason I brought my car to this place was under recommendation from King Transmission in Elmurst because my Focus was under a factory warranty. To add insult to injury when I picked up my car and drove it for five minutes I realized it had a flat tire....a flat tire they did not even bother checking before giving me the car back. If your car needs service avoid this place at all costs -- Go to Al Piemonte in Melrose Park instead. read more

Do not trust this dealership - they are liars and scammers! Let me explain. I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from here a couple years ago. I am a very informed buyer and know my numbers better than any car sales person will ever know (I've been in business transformation sales for years and build large proposals) After negotiating price, they came back with a monthly that was waaayyy off. I knew to the dime where my payment should have been. Turns out, they mysteriously added an extended warranty, where clearly I did not ask for one. After he went back to remove that BS, you wouldn't believe it...my payment was exactly where I knew it would be. FAST FORWARD to today: I'm trading in the truck I bought here, and two dealerships have told me/showed me that because Carfax indicates that I am the 3rd owner and there was an accident reported with the 1st, they cannot provide top value for my trade-in. I still have the Carfax/AutoCheck from Roesch and it shows 1 owner and no accidents. It appears that someone here forged or tampered with the report to get it off their lot. I'm not expecting these guys to do anything - an apology would be nice - but I will make sure everyone knows that these guys are scammers. read more

Bought a used SUV from Sam Mellenthin and the team at Roesch; Found the process to be very straightforward and it exceeded my expectations of a car buying experience (ultimately a better outcome than CarMax where I had a car on hold)! Felt the team was honest, direct, and maintained a great balance between their job (selling cars) and my interests (not making a bad or arbitrarily quick decision). They actually let me take the vehicle over a weekend so that I could have a mechanic take a look (notable as we live an hour a way so there were some miles incurred and a bit of an investment by the dealership). The vehicle we chose was used, during our negotiation they agreed to have their body shop do some touch ups and the sales manager (Larry) offered to do the work before we closed the transaction so that we'd see the outcome prior to closing the deal. Overall this was a great transaction and would recommend you stop by if you're in the market for a vehicle - ask for Sam!!! read more

What a mistake! Tried to bring my mustang in to track an electrical short. They told me to make an appointment in 4-5 days. They are busy. I understand. So I bring it back on Thursday at 8 am. Called Fri. and was told car wasn't started yet but service Mgr will call me back after lunch. No call. No follow up. I called at 5pm. " Sorry your car wasn't looked at yet, maybe in a day or 2....". I picked up my car at 6. Manager was so helpful and understanding. NOT. I was told. Nothing we can do, we are busy.... I asked what was the purpose of waiting 5 days for an appointment. Talk about great people here, I came with knowing I have Credit Troubles the they worked with me and got me bought by a lender! I went home with a new car! The Salespeople were all wonderful and treated me great as a walked in, even offered me a bottle of water! Then they helped me find the right car and test drove, we worked number and i was in and out alot quicker than i thought. worst car service dept - not once but every time since we bought our vehicle there that it needed service or additions- they seem to wait alllllll dayyyyy to get to it- and when they do they rarely if ever complete the work & always same excuse 'we cannot find the issue or it's not happening for us' - twice they actually said they fixed something and the problem persisted- this time we MADE an appt & were VERY CLEAR we needed it back asap & that the vehicle be checked head to toe as we are taking it out of state and do not want to have any issues-usually the vehicle is ready by around 5 (usually not really completed work done tho) & today had planned to pick up vehicle at around 5 because that's when we have someone to get us there to pick it up- NOW we find out it has not even been seen yet- backed up or not- when they tell a customer they will give it priority (I know this can be done from working at a dealership) they should do exactly that- NOW so in case Ford reads this- we are planning to buy another vehicle soon - our plan was to get it from same dealer- that being said give us a reason to come back or we will find another dealership to give our sale & referrals to. FYI- the person who is desk clerk in service COULD be in charge of finding out status unless they are magically glued to their chair for their shift - just a thought! FYI_ telling ppl to call the basic number there because you want to HELP the consumers- is hokey at best- any salesperson can go online and post a response- and when you do call- they want to know who you want to speak with and when you ask for that person they no longer work there OR you get voicemail and NO ONE RETURNS YOUR CALL! UPDATE- after they tell me it's going up to be worked on after 3 pm- I get a call at 415 telling me that they ca't get to it today and need to keep it overnight- UNBELIEVABLE!!! Purchased a 2019 Ford Fiesta from Roesch Ford. What a great dealership! Great selection and prices. Showroom is one of the nicest I have visited. My salesman Sam Mellenthin was awesome. Very honest, straightforward, friendly and seemed to genuinely care that I got the best deal available. Joe Embro in finance made what is usually the most painful part of buying a car very fun and easy to understand. I have to use this dealership for our business cars. I have gone in several times for upkeep as well as an ongoing issue my particular model has with a clutch and transmission. I usually have the same person in the service dept Bob who is great and knows me as well as our other cars. He is great about calling to say when the repair will be done, if there is a problem and keeps me updated. If any issues, no problem, their manager Kurt calls anyhow to see how it went a few days later. I feel comfortable leaving the car and if an issue, they are great about follow up. I would love to buy our next car from this dealership. Lets see if their parent Ford makes a better model down the road and I will be all that! read more

Worst service experience of my life. I would rate them below the cable company and at&t as far as service goes. I brought my car in because you could not fill the gas tank above a 1/4 tank. They kept my car for 3 days and replaced parts that had nothing to do with the problem. And charged me over $1,000. I went to the gas station, and guess what? You couldn't fill the tank above a 1/4 tank. I brought my car back in, they had it for 8 more days!!! And charged me $500 more dollars. On top of that, Jim the service manager was unheard from for days at a time. Poor technician work, poor service, all at a high end price. You should be proud of yourselves Roesch Ford. I would never return to Roesch as a customer, and I know several people who work for some of the Roesch dealerships. read more

Watch out when getting your car serviced here! Their car "inspection" is suspect at best. Our mustang's tire tread and brake pad wear INCREASED from the fall to the spring and the inspection sheet said our tail lights were all working but when we picked up our car, one of the tail lights was out. There were lots of recommendations they made that would have cost almost another $1000 but how can we trust that these things are really needed when tire tread and brake pad measurements are incorrect? You may also want to cover your drivers seat as our tan leather drivers seat and door was completely covered in grease when we got the car back. We called the dealership that day to let them know and they offered to clean it up, but it was the end of the day and we really didn't want to go another day without having the car. We called a couple days later to discuss the inspection sheet and while they offered to replace the tail light for free, they had NOTHING to say about the other issues. An email was sent to the general manager of the dealership to let him know of the poor service we received, but no response from him either. read more

I recently visited Roesch Ford to purchase a 2011 Chevy Malibu. The initial salesman, Dave Wishart, was extremely helpful and professional so much that I decided to purchase the vehicle. Dave and I sat down to negotiate the terms of the purchase, but the terms of purchase needed to be approved by another person, Jamisen Nordstrom. Jamisen Nordstrom was completely unprofessional and ruined a sale for Dave; I felt bad for Dave. Jamisen approached me with what was supposed to be my Transunion credit score. This score was 40 points under my score which is monitored monthly. To go further, Jamisen attempted to "inform me" of how credit works. He said that the Transunion credit rating is different for a car as opposed to a home which is completely incorrect. Regardless, he felt disrespected by the conversation and REFUSED to sell me the car. Unbelievable that he has the ability to hinder Dave from receiving his fair share. Extremely poor customer service and undeniable unprofessionalism. read more

This is not my first bad experience with Roesch Ford, but it may be the one that causes me to no longer be a purchaser of Ford. My 2012 Expedition has the same paint issues that Ford has been having since before 2006, therefore I make sure to stay on top of any paint bubble before they become too big of a problem. This time I was told that they are "not going to repair the paint bubble until it has rusted all the way through". Also, I was told that the recall on my vehicle will not be able to be fixed for a few months because they haven't received the equipment to repair it yet. just bought 2015 for Taurus with 27,000 miles they tried to get me to sign an no warranty included paper when i challenged them and said there is a 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty remaining.they then changed it to a warranty..3 days later the brakes started to make noise I made an appointment which was 8 business day wait.When I got there they wanted 100 dollars to inspect the car?.they then said the brake pads were only covered for 12,000 miles.. these guys are shady..what does BUMPER TO BUMPER mean? are the brake pads between the bumper? .watch these guys..I cant believe this dicks have the balls to charge you 100 bucks to inspect a car thats under warranty..find another dealer.. read more

I had my 2013 Focus Electric recently towed to Roesch Ford for servicing since there is still an auto mechanic strike and this place does not employ Union workers. This is 23 miles away from where I live. When I ran (literally) a few miles after taking a train to pick the car up, I was met with HORRIBLE customer service. I am not sure if it's because I was dressed casually in running clothes and was sweating and maybe because I am a person of color?? I am a highly educated professional with no time for this type of nonsense. The lady in the service department barely wanted to spend any time with me going over what was wrong with the car and did not exude any warmth whatsoever. Horrible customer service and communication skills. Guess what? It's a few weeks later and it is not starting once again. After the car was there for a week supposedly getting worked on and me spending $100 deductible with the special warranty I purchased for this high tech car. The service person (Natasha) when asked about maintenance for the future said "just change the oil regularly" when the car is 100% electric and DOES NOT NEED OIL. HELLO, DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS TYPE OF CAR? IF NOT, DO NOT SERVICE IT!!!!! There was barely an apology for making this type of ignorant statement. To add insult to injury I was looking in the show room and approached 3 salesmen who were NOT busy at all, just busy flapping their gums and talking to each other (gee- maybe if they did more selling and less talking?). There was not 1 customer around them yet when I asked for more info about new electric cars that Ford was selling they: 1. Did not know much if at all about them. 2. Treated me with disrespect and barely acknowledged me. 3. When they finally did give me a brochure they said "the info is online, the brochure should be self- explanatory" and then went back to their very "important" discussion that had nothing to do with their work. My wife's 2012 Fusion was totaled the weekend before Christmas, so we were in the market for a new car before the new year. We checked out a few dealerships, and the helpfulness of Jeanette on the phone with my wife combined with the positive ratings caused me to leave another dealership in favor of giving Roesch a try. When I showed up I asked for Jeanette, who came by and chatted for a few minutes. As my questions turned from money to car options, she told me that she handled the internet side, and introduced me to Russ. Russ and I went over the options we were interested in, the financing we could get, the year-end specials on 2015s, and took a couple test drives. I had only purchased one car previously, 4 years prior on the South Side, and didn't particularly like the experience, but Russ was honestly a pleasure to work with: he was patient, warm, and funny. At one point, while they were drawing up the paperwork on the car we had decided to purchase, my wife got cold feet and wanted to take a leather model with heated seats for a spin to see if it was worth the extra $4500 to her. Russ dropped what he was doing to ease her mind, and afterwards my wife felt better about the one we were purchasing. Russ took care of us like we were old friends, and the other employees who are part of the process did the same. I will be coming back to Roesch in the future when the time comes to replace our other car, or for any dealership service. read more

I thought I will have to wait or come back to fix my car because I didn't have an appointment but nope they just took my car in and got it fixed in 30 minutes. Such nice people I dealt with when I purchased my brand new Taurus SHO. So I thought. Such a crying shame the good deal I thought I was getting had a hidden agenda. The Taurus I purchased was a demo, that was previously being driven by the service manager's assistant. So when i gave my new car its first wash and waxing a couple weeks after purchase. I started noticing all kinds of paint flaws from shoddy bodywork. So I immediately brought car back to dealer to have them look at it. Well it turns out that this new car I purchased was involved in some kind of in house accident at either dealership, transportation to dealer or Ford plant mishap. Whatever happened I will probably never know. Roesch Ford is now playing Stupid. So now the dealership and Ford customer service will only allow for car to be repainted and repaired under the factory warranty. I told them this is totally unacceptable. I didn't buy a new car to have to get a new paint job on it immediately after purchase That could lead to more problems in the future with car. I learned a valuable lesson though. Even when buying a supposed new car, you need to look car over thoroughly in the proper lighting. Why car dealerships have to be so dishonest I'll never know. So now I will have to file lawsuit in order to hopefully get Roesch Ford and or Ford Motor company to do the right thing and replace car. Word to the Wise, Stay away from Roesch Ford. Economy is bad and these people are desperate to stick it in your rear end any way they can. They have been given the chance to right this wrong for 2 months now. However, a couple of minor post sale issues turned into annoying time and money wasters due to the poor communication, miscommunication, lack of communication by my salesman. Also the I Pass inadvertently left in my trade-in "disappeared" overnight, and no one could locate it. I went car shopping at Roesch Ford on Friday October 30th during my lunch to look for a new truck. I was greeted by Austin Olberg, who went and obtained the keys for the truck I wanted to test drive. Austin your salesman was very informative and was answering every question patiently which I had. Also, he did not try to upsell on any features I was not interested in. Nowadays, it commonly seen that car salesmen just don't do enough good job and their only objective is to get money out of your pocket. I purchased my explorer from Roesch Ford and have used their service dept ever since, but no more! I came in because my heat shield had fallen off and I needed an oil change, also my air bag light was on. They inspected my car found several issues and started taking the vehicle apart, one hour later there is a strike, I was sitting there waiting for several hours after they walked out. They never updated me on this. I take my car there because there is union certified mechanics who are qualified to work on these newer computerized cars. No one would pick up the phones or call you back I had to drive up there to get any answers, not cool! 4 weeks later I now have my car back, and we will not go back for service as they are now going non union and other local Ford dealers are still union. read more

This establishment has been bad for years. First off I bought a 2014 explorer and thought I got a pretty good deal. When I went to trade it in a month ago I found out that they signed me up for some type of plan that was going to increase my monthly payment 50 dollars. When I called them on it they said those people didnt work here anymore. Next issue, trying to get the remaining amount from my service contract and gap insurance from this car. Talked to finance manager Steve. First he told me to come back in an hour because he was dealing with a customer buying a car. Came back completed the paperwork. Now I'm trying to get the status of my refund. It's been about a month now. Left about 6 messages and no return call from Steve roti. I did get the voicemail of joe once. He called me back and said someone would call me the next day. That was about 2 weeks ago, no response. Don't do business with the place, it will save you time and money. So i have an update.
