But after my recent experience, I wouldn't trust them to rotate a tire, let alone touch my car again. I brought my spotless, well-maintained 10-year-old vehicle in for an alignment. They told me the lower control arm was bad--fine, I asked for a quote and agreed to bring it back the next day. But then they lowered my car, parked it just outside the bay, and the mechanic immediately started blowing out the shop with an air hose. He coated my car in brake dust and filth--right after the front desk woman had just complimented how clean it was. I calmly expressed concern and asked if they planned to clean it before I left. The mechanic lazily wiped a window and ran the wipers. That was the extent of the cleanup. Then, without warning, the woman comes outside, tells me I have an attitude, hands me a $20 bill to go wash my car, and tells me to leave the lot and never come back. I was stunned. I did nothing but respectfully speak up about damage they caused. This wasn't just unprofessional--it was insulting and absurd. After a lifetime of loyalty and countless referrals, I'm done. Whatever Tireland used to be, it's not that anymore. Their customer service is non-existent, their respect for people's property is worse, and if this is how they treat long-term customers, I can't imagine how they treat new ones. Avoid at all costs. Edit, The owners response is a complete and total lie. There was nothing aggressive in my mannerisms or conduct. Any arm waving was me pointing at the dirt and holding my hands out as in, wtf! This was about $20 cheaper than the price at the dealership so I went ahead and made an appointment. At no time was I told of any additional charges. I show up for my appointment and waited for over an hour for the work to be done. No big deal. At no point did I ever leave the waiting room. Again, I was still not told of any additional charges until the work was done and then I was told there was an additional $35 charge for a "code link reset". I argued that I should have been told of any possibility of additional charges at the time of scheduling or before the work was done as I could have had all this done at the dealership for a much cheaper price and without hidden costs. The guy gave me a whopping $5 off. Just another garage taking advantage of their female customers by adding costs and services without consulting them so they have no choice but to pay. I also love this shop because, even though I'm a woman, they don't treat me like a complete idiot about cars (I'm a car nut and engineer). And when they tell me there's a problem, before they do any work they'll show me the problem, we can talk through what it is, we can discuss different options, and it's completely no pressure. Oddly enough, it makes me so much more willing to let them take good care of the cars. They're also one of few shops that doesn't refuse to use parts purchased by the customer. I'm a real hater about repair shops and dealerships, but these guys have won me over.
