Horrible service - I will not be coming back. I've had my oil changed here many times, and all the repairs to my car have been performed at Roger Subaru of Lewiston. Despite oil changes being scheduled weeks in advance and showing up on time, I always waited at least 3 hours for my service to be completed. The final nail in the coffin, though, was when I showed up with tires they had installed that balded completely on the outer sides in the rear within a short time. They refused to take any accountability and told me this was "normal" if I drive on poorly maintained roads (I don't. I live in the downtown area of Moscow and work from home -- I drive maybe three times per week and less in the winter). I was told that day that Brady Bain, the service manager, was out and would call me. He never did, so I called and left him a message, but he never responded. I received an automated message from Brady asking me to rate my service, so I emailed him back to say I would still like to talk. I also gave him some options based on my availability; however, I never heard back. I'm still very disappointed with my experience at Rogers Subaru of Lewiston and would have appreciated any communication with their manager to address the situation. Today, I would never recommend going to them. I went out of my way for years to drive up to Lewiston from Moscow to get my car serviced here, and now I realize what a HUGE waste of money that was, terrible service, and it seems they probably messed up my alignment when I bought new tires from them previously, hence the balding. I received zero help or compensation for this issue despite my loyalty to them. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

The experience started out great. I purchased a 2025 Outback and asked them to install a hitch prior to me picking up the car. That whole experience was fine, it's the after events that are disappointing. Upon trying to use the hitch for the first time, I discovered it's installed in a way that makes it impossible to secure the hitch pin. When I contacted the dealership, I was told they'd make it right and that the installation at the factory is different than at the dealership (why?). When I attempted to set up the appointment to have this fixed, I was told it would cost $4-500 because they would have to remove the bumper and then put it back on. Even though the way it is installed in the first place is wrong. Then the GM said the problem was just that I need a Tule locking pin because that was what was compatible. One was sent to me--that doesn't work because you literally cannot get your hand into where the hitch pin goes. I called to tell them it didn't solve the problem and that I wanted a refund for the cost of installation. I was promised a call back later that day--still no call a week later. So disappointed in being treated this way. Maybe purchasing a car there is fine, but don't get anything installed. read more

If you're not a local, beware of them upselling you when you have a basic service done. They did what I asked them to do, but I got a long list of recommendations and "urgent repairs" needed when I got the car back. I took this list back to my home dealership and they laughed, said it was pretty common for some places to do this to out-of-towners. Otherwise, the people were nice enough, but it was much less of a friendly vibe than my regular Subaru dealership. Though can you blame them? Work is work, and work sucks. And customers can be ignorant, entitled, and annoying as hell. In short, I liked everyone here, I just hate an industry that encourages preying upon people that (they assume) don't know anything about their own car, just to make a buck. read more

If I could rate the financial department and the service department separately I would. I absolutely love the financial department and sales. I cannot stand the service department. The people are nice but if you need anything more than basic needs for your vehicle take it somewhere else. Don't have them take it somewhere else. I've constantly been treated like an idiotic girl when I brought my truck back in that I bought from them. The men hardly ever actually listen to what I'm saying. They "did" try but when my vehicle was sent to another place not all my concerns were transferred over. Let's not mention they were letting me drive with an unsafe vehicle with kids. But I did just go in and ask for a loaner, which was given to me no problem! So there are food and bad things. Honestly just really annoying and they shouldn't buy vehicles they can't work on and treat women differently than men. ‍ read more

I've taken my Outback here to be serviced a couple of times for routine oil changes and a safety recall. Each time I've been here I've been greeted by an employee in the politest manner! They're very transparent with what's going to happen and approximately how long it will take. They always offer to wash my car, too! Rogers Subaru knowingly, admittedly falsified a Certified Pre-Owned Check Sheet for a 2017 Outback. After 9 days of the car being signed by a master mechanic on 11/20/2020 as "Certified Pre-Owned", on 11/29/2020 an $800 broken seat was discovered along with missing items within the vehicle- all marked off as passing on the certified inspection check sheet. Subaru Corporate Case # 1-631-209-87453. Rogers Subaru offering to fix these problems after the fact should not be confused as good customer service. It is merely covering tracks of a misrepresented C.P.O Check Sheet. Buyer beware. Perhaps in the past they were reputable, but now they are getting desperate in the time of pandemic and starting to operate differently, unethically. read more

While on a 6 hour drive our drain line from the A/C clogged. Water started draining onto the floor - soaking the passenger side floor mat. We called ahead to the next Subaru dealership on our route: Rogers Subaru. They squeezed us into their service schedule - on a Saturday - with only 2 hours notice and then had us repaired and on our way in 40 minutes. The waiting area was clean and well stocked with snacks. We've always had subpar experiences here, from taking way longer than expected to poor staff communication to waiting for 3 hours only to have them not have a part they said they had. This visit, I had to google if there even was a mask law in Lewiston, which there is, but there were few in sight at Subaru. Jason had his mask off while helping us and was eating, and the young man who drove my car up when it was done was inside my car, not wearing a mask. Absolutely no concern for COVID restrictions whatsoever. I have a maintenance plan and so my oil changes are paid for already, which I told them upon checking in and they still tried to charge me at the end. Glad it was the last appointment on my maintenance plan so I dont have to go back. read more

When you have one good experience with a new car purchase, you are happy. When you have two, you feel blessed. When you have 4, its a long term relationship built on integrity, loyalty and service. This is the 4th time we have purchased Subaru and Toyota cars from the Rogers family of dealerships in Lewiston. On every occasion, the salesman and management were pros who valued building that long term relationship, not just short term profit. Manager Corey and Salesman Dane at Rogers Subaru not only came in much lower on the deals, but did it without dithering or trying to steer us to a car in inventory. They were upfront, friendly and professional, eschewing the old school method of car sales that can be tedious and insulting at times. In both cases (2021 Crosstrek and Outback) not having the particular car we were looking for was no problem. Their network of dealer relationships got us the exact car we wanted in less than a week, delivered to us in Boise free of charge. Let me tell you about my Rogers Subaru experience, I had gone to so many shops and had my car broken more and more each time. So I thought to myself "maybe the people who work on these cars constantly can fix it the proper way. And here we are 1 year later, not only does my car burn oil like no ones business after having my head gaskets replaced, my throw out bearing for my transmission is out. What kind of throw out bearing goes out in a god damn year ? This is absolutely asinine, and come to find out a throw out bearing is only warranted for 90 freaking days! I may not be a mechanic but in my experience you replace a throw out bearing when you replace a clutch, so who in the world decided 90 was a valid warranty period for a component that directly effects my clutch? They've lost my business forever and now I will be telling everyone in my business and my personal life(majority drive Subaru's) that they should never come to this shop for anything. If anyone's reading this I hope you know this is the reason Subaru's have a bad rep, especially when I pay a couple thousand dollars and a year later one of the parts that were replaced is no longer a valid warranty ? Anyone on yelp that drives a Subaru Rogers Subaru just wants your damn money and that's all they care for. Rogers be better, this is ridiculous and I hope everyone sees this and listens. It's a fantastic auto for the year round conditions around what I like to call "The Pacific North East"....when an errant deer decided to run into my "baby" and dent the heck out of my fender I shopped around for best place to purchase my replacement parts. Rogers Subaru was my choice out of the 3 local dealers available to me. Quick ordering and good recommendation of where to get it painted. When I was ready to buy a new vehicle, I decided to go down to Rogers Subaru in Lewiston, boy was that a mistake. I took time off of work to come down and look at the vehicles, the car I wanted was not on the lot so I waited about a week until it arrived. Not a problem at all, even though the vehicle I was driving was having problems I knew that I could bike to work and to run errands if needed. When I signed for the vehicle, I was told it would arrive sometime the next week. Later I emailed Justin Davenport, the sales person who assisted me, and asked when the car would be ready. He told me when it would be ready and I scheduled a time to pick it up. But it turns out the car was not ready, the trailer hitch had not been installed. Justin did not mention that the trailer hitch had not been installed in any of his emails. He did not mention it to me at all during the entire hour I was in Lewiston to get my vehicle. I only discovered that it was missing when I arrived home. I emailed Justin about it, and he admitted that he knew about it the entire time! He told me "I knew you needed a dependable ride" but a) that's not his decision to make and b) it is still a blatant lie to tell me my car is ready and not once mention they failed to install an almost $700 item. He knew the trailer hitch I paid for was missing and he did not say a word to me about it the entire time, he lied to me. Then, when I went to the DMV to get my license plates I found out that Rogers had not given me the right paperwork. The DMV suggested I call the dealership and have them fax it over. I called, explained what I needed and the receptionist said "One moment, I will transfer you" at which point I was disconnected. So I called back, she apologized and managed to successfully transfer my call but it unfortunately went to voicemail. Since the DMV was closing soon, I called back again and asked if there was anyone who could do this right away. The receptionist said she would find someone and put me on "hold" but actually just disconnected me again. At this point I was almost in tears in my car. An employee named Mike managed to finally fax my documents over and the amazing ladies at the DMV got me taken care of just before they closed for the weekend. The next week when my dad and I went to the dealership to have my trailer hitch put on, we asked to speak with a manager. Jack Kemp, General Sales Manager, came out to speak with us about our experience. Unfortunately the entire time he smirked at me, kept smiling while I explained I was angry about being manipulated and lied to. At this point the General Manager, Corey Brown, came out to speak with us. Corey at least conceded that Justin never should have lied to me and said he would write him up. Corey also agreed to pay me $100 in cash to compensate me for being forced to take another day off work to deal with the trailer hitch. But he also seemed angry with me. When I agreed to take $100 compensation, he looked at my face and said "Well you don't look like that made you happy" to which I said "I'm still angry about being lied to." I am not sure why he thought money was going to fix the lies and deceit. Then, while we were waiting for the installation to finish, I noticed employee after employee use the handicapped parking spaces to drop off things, stop in to speak with someone, or drop off customers (of which only 2 of 5 actually needed to use the space). At one point I asked two employees if they knew they were parking in the handicapped parking spot, to which they said "Yes" and I asked them if they knew it was illegal and they brushed me off, even laughed about it. Since so many employees did this over and over again, it is obvious they all do this all day, every day. I mentioned this to Service Advisor, Jason McCarthy, who said he would talk to his staff. I certainly do hope so, because disability laws are classified as Civil Rights laws, so this staff is consistently violating people's civil rights so they don't have to walk too far. I'm disgusted by that one, my mother requires the use of a handicapped parking spot so this one was very personal. TLDR: Salesman Justin Davenport is a liar, the management are rude and condescending jerks, and the employees like to take over the handicapped spots from the disabled and then laugh at customers who complain about it (and have disabled family members). Save yourself, go to Spokane or Coeur d'Alene. read more

The salesman did not listen well, at least keeping on asking what I wanted when I already told him, but it seemed not what he wanted to hear. I bought an extended warranty, which they dropped by around $900 when I at first I said I wasn't interested. The salesman called after I bought the car to see if there were any issues, I listed the minor issues, which he told me to stop by anytime...I did and was told I needed to make an appointment. At the appointment, I was there 3 1/2 hours, which they could not find anything wrong. The drivers door still does not sound right compared to the others and the stereo still skips songs in the middle of playing them! At the end they lost my keys and I had to ask why it was taking to long wash my car, then took a long time to get an answer! I felt I was forgotten, after so many other customers who were waiting came and went!!! When I bought the car, they bent over backwards to look good, I wish they spent that same effort in actually being good!!!!!!! They are not a bad dealership, but are not good...they are just ok, I expected better from a Subaru dealership!!!!! read more
