I took my cat to get a checkup and ended up having to put him down and throughout the whole process…read morethe staff there, specifically Dr. Lohn was very friendly and helpful and gave me all the information I asked for. They gave me time to spend with my cat and didn't rush me and didn't make me feel judged for crying. They got me his ashes the next day which I was very happy about, and the containers they gave me and the paw print are very nice. Highly recommend this clinic (and they partner with the humane society which helped so much with costs). Can't recommend this clinic enough!

Dr. Claire Lohn is the best Veterinarian I have ever met, hands down no contest. She is soooo sweet…read moreand takes the time to really talk to you and I just am so grateful for her helping me with my kitten Toby and also my 18 year Jasper who passed away in September. Which was absolutely devastating and still is but Grove helped me through it. I can't say enough good things about her. When you meet her you can just tell she is a lovely soul and really cares and wants the best for your baby. I am so grateful she is there. Thank you Dr. Lohn for being awesome!!! I appreciate you soooo much!! I also appreciate Emma, she is so incredibly sweet. I only interacted with her for a couple moments when she brought my Toby back to me and she gushed over how cute Toby is and she also helped with my Jasper a bit back in September and also was absolutely amazing with him too You can just immediately tell she is sooooo nice and has an amazing soul as well and loves what she does Thank you Grove for helping us!! ‍

I'm sorry this business has fallen so badly. I have been bringing my Beagles here for 22 years…read more This was a great Hospital when the previous owners, Dr's Hixon and Clark were there. I felt the beagles were getting great care. I took my dog in to Alpine this past Nov. 13. for a blood test. I was told results would come in 24 to 48 hours. there was never a call. EIGHT days later, I called. Asked for the results was told the Vet was busy. I called on Nov 26th. And asked them to mail them to my house. I called several days later. Asked again. they said they would. Today is Dec 6th.....still no results! I complained again and asked for a full refund. This brings me to the other issue....,as I was paying they verbally told me the total cost $215.00, when I got home the receipt said $298.00! Some would say this was a bait and switch deal. Just what the bloody hell did I pay $298.00 for?????? They didn't even take her temperature! they took her from the room was there an actual blood test??? Found a new Vet. Always do your research!

To start: this place had to change their overnight kennel staffing policy (the previous policy was…read morethere was NO staff at all overnight... in a facility that keeps emergency patients overnight) after A DOG IN THEIR CARE DIED because no one was there. They now have one single vet assistant (not even a vet tech!) at night to check on things apparently. Reassuring right? This is one of the worst vet offices in the county. The above example of not wanting to pay someone qualified for overnight care of sick animals should be the first clue... they are 100% about making the most amount of money possible. Their appointments are always triple or quadruple booked. They seem to cheap out on everything, from the run down building to the poorly maintained kennel in the back. Some of the veterinarians there seem good at their jobs, but there are plenty of better run, cleaner and more ethical vets in town.

He was not better by the 23rd hence I rang the ER Vet in Salem only to be told they were overwhelmed with patients and could not accept any more that night. They referred me to the Covallis Willamette Veterinarly Hospital. After a 50 + minutes, pouring rain drive from Salem with my very sick cat, I arrived and was warmly greeted by Isabella. After the vet had evidently seen my sick kitty I was presented an estimate of costs to perform what they deemed necessary tests. The estimate had 2 columns one the "high" and one the "low"; one was over $1900 and the other over $1300. I was honest and told them I could not afford these extreme costs. after some conversation I was told I could have fewer tests done but nothing would be conslusive as to his ailment. After 5 hours I was given RX's for pain and nausea for Kitty, neither made sense to me but as it was after 4 a.m. I chose to take him home and try this treatment. He did not improve on the 23rd and I took him to the Salem Emergency Vet where he was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and given IV hydration and antibiotics. I picked him the 25th at 10 p.m. much improved and has continued to get better daily. He had RX's for antibiotics and an appetite stimulant. My time at the Corvallis Vet was a waste of time & money.
