As a long-time resident and homeowner in Medford I always loved spending my money at this mall. That stops today due to me being 'trespassed' for asking for a girl's number who was dressed 'skimpy." Malls were supposed to be a social hub before people got stuck on the phones. No investigation was done and security refused to simply look at the video which would have proved them wrong and possibly be grounds for a false report. I will be spending my money elsewhere and recommending others do the same. Shame on mall security. read more

Whoever the pushy employees are attempting to give samples - in the store a few doors down from Zumiez (eternetia? maybe?) are ableist and extremely horrible to individuals with disabilities. I have never encountered people so blatantly disrespectful. They treated the people with disabilities in the mall like lepers. They made fun of them amongst each other (2 girls and 1 man) and were talking about "people like THAT" insinuating the R word and then making fun of them. Shame on that store. Stayed one extra night in Medford due to severe weather warnings over the pass traveling back to CA. Mall not crowded...not a huge selection of shops. lLooking for a store selling greeting cards (like Hallmark) and there wasn't one. Food court offered a variety to choose from. No Sales tax in the state of Oregon!! That is the reason why we stopped into Rogue Valley Mall in the city of Medford, Oregon. The mall was larger than I expected it to be. It was two stories, and it provided me with a good walking workout while waiting for the relatives to finish shopping. The mall was not crowded. In fact, there was not a lot of people at all. Almost appeared to be like a ghost town of a mall. There were many empty and closed storefronts. Covid pandemic has taken a toll on plenty of the brick and mortar shops at Rogue Valley Mall. Only my nephew and my niece ended up purchasing anything. She was happy with her cap purchase at Lids. He was ecstatic about his shoe deal at Footlocker. Hopefully, business picks up at Rogue Valley Mall. It is not a nice sight to see many abandoned storefronts. read more

I wasn't aware my family could have such a bad experience at the mall up till recently I took my daughter to the ESCAPE ROOM. This place burnt me worse than a bad street deal. It is nothing more than a poorly put together movie themed mystery room(s) with an appearance that appeals to your kids to mask the clever ruse used to get into your pocket. If you like having a good time at the mall i suggest sticking with the family or friend photos at penny's and other well known quality clothing stores local malls are known for. read more

The mall was large compared to the malls I've seen in Vermont and Binghamton but this is really only a review of the Mountainside Food Court. I was slightly appalled at the food selection. Yes it was clean and was edible but the franchises were ridiculous. Sansei Japan sold teriyaki beef or chicken or pineapple flavored beef or chicken. How is that Japanese? The california rolls, I dared not to try, especially since it was probably bought at the local supermarket and repackaged before they place it in a Styrofoam plate to give to you. Chinese Gourmet sold the worse parts of a typical Chinese American buffet: General Tsao's chicken and thick gooey noodles with two pieces of broccoli. Zen Kitchen looked like another Americanized Chinese food place. I ended up eating the teriyaki beef from Sansei- which tasted of soy sauce and sugar. Edible but it really made me miss New York. New York- where distinctions between different types of asian food are celebrated whether it be Korean, Thai, Malaysian, Cantonese style or Japanese. New York- where you can have kalbi, shabu shabu, and hot pot in one day. New York- where you can have bad Chinese food any day but there are infinitely better choices. I got sick of choosing between mediocre and bland asian food choices so the next day I got subways. read more

This place is not only lost in time & outdated in every way .... it also has a very limited selection of quality stores... Well where do I start. . I realize people are short staffed all around the valley right now but this is absolutely appalling to see . Unbelievable the amount of dirt and grime. Food stuck to the floor and tables and flies buzzing around When you are trying to eat landing all over your food and arms. The tables are covered in food . The play area where I take my kiddo is so filthy with dirt and trash just thrown all around. Dirty Masks all over the mall grounds and food stuck to the floor of the elevator and broken glass. All of the Sanitizing stations were empty ! And we are in the middle of a pandemic. What in the heck!? I'm sorry but it's super disappointing and with everything that's going on in our world how could they allow such a busy active place for people to go to look run down and unkept. I probably won't be going back for a while. I'm not sure if they just don't have janitors or people are just too lazy and don't care ! but it's time to step it up Rogue Valley-mall! read more

What people need to understand here is that this isn't a big city, this is Medford, Oregon! So... with that in consideration, this mall is fantastic for the area! A lot of the vacant spots are due to the companies themselves closing. In the past year, there has been a lot of things in the works as far as stores moving around and remodeling. It's coming around! Stores like Sunglass Hut, Bath & Bodyworks have gotten beautiful remodels as well as other stores in the works! The Mall has also gotten better lighting and fresh paint inside and out. The gardening outside is well kept and the maintenance inside is never lagging. It's great to have this Mall in our small town. If I want a Prada store, I will go to Sunglass Hut or just visit L.A. lol read more

What to say about the mall...we have kind of a love-hate relationship, this mall & I. Having transplanted here from a more populated area, I am used to lots of shopping options and good ones at that. The Rogue Valley mall has a few basic anchor stores - Macy's, Macy's Home, Kohl's, JC Penney - some trendy teen stores - American Eagle, Gap, Aeropostale - and a fair representation of children's stores - Gap Kids, Gymboree, the Children's Place. The best attribute is that the mall is something to do indoors during the looong chilly season. The play area (near JC Penney) is a God send when it's cold and days are shorter. Criticisms are the selection of the stores, high turnover of many shops, and it's pretty small and dated. At the end of the day, it gives an option for shopping & passing the time, but it isn't a very inspired one. read more

The Rogue Valley Mall has a clean, safe atmosphere. It's great to walk thru and never too crowded. (except during Christmas season) BUT there's no book store anymore! The mall should give anyone a break on rent who's willing to open a bookstore because otherwise I have no reason to spend the day there. read more

This review is more so for their Santa rather than the mall as a whole. I am honestly surprised they have not hired a new Santa yet, as this man is ridiculous. He does not smile in any of the pictures and is extremely rude. When talking with the workers they even admitted all he does is complain about the children and how horrible the job is. While there my cousin apologized for her fussy child because he was tired and Santa replied "YEAH so am I" in a very rude tone. Santa's one job is to be jolly and smile for pictures. When you're spending on the low end $35 for pictures with Santa he should at the very least smile. This man ruins the Christmas spirit and needs to be replaced. read more

I haven't gone to all of the stores there, but the ones I visited were just ok, with the exception of Eddie Bauer were the salesperson was incredibly helpful and new her inventory by heart. Their JC Penney seemed to only have Disney staff for kids, and a rather limited selection of basic kid clothing which what I was hoping to buy. They had a playground on the first floor, which kept my daughter busy for a few hours, but it would be good if they wiped off the equipment a bit, because her clothes had black spots all over them and I had to wash them all. My son was happy with his purchases from Zumiez, but I thought they were not that helpful in helping us find things, given the high prices and the fact that there was only one more customer there when we came. read more

I had to do one thing at Macy's today: return a set of double ordered sheets, comforter, and pillowcases. The salesclerk couldn't have been nicer, and clearly had a good, rational head on her shoulders. Always wonderful salespeople and really great bargains when using their Macy's wallet feature or the Plenti points (mind you that was tortuously hard to get going, but a very nice and patient clerk at the Rogue Valley Mall Macy's finally got it set up for me, and I had accumulated a great number of points which resulted in additional savings when combined with my Macy's wallet discounts. I'm SO GLAD that our Macy's is not one that will be closing! I will continue to do my part to be a driver of the local economy. I love the mall. The mall is an American institution. Unfortunately the idea of the mall is dying. Online and big brand stores are killing it. Specifically here, Sam Goody has become a hot topic/spencers clone (and we have both within the mall). There are many rotating shops, I hear because rent in the mall has skyrocketed. Some local businesses, and some ancor stores like Khols and Macys. Huge Victoria's Secret here. Lots of great food (Check out Chinese Gourmet, ask for Lim). I'd like to see a little more variety, but as anyone in Medford can tell you, there's no variety in this town. As far as shopping in Southern Oregon goes you're good starting here, especially for teens ( and let's face it, malls were built for the teens anyway). As has been said before, too many vacant stores, run of the mill department stores (J.C. Penney; Kohl's (what's THAT?), and a Macy's that brings to mind Mervyn's or, better yet, Mervyn's Rack if there were such a thing. Typical mall "specialty" stores abound. Journeys, PacSun, the sport shops, the hat shops, the cheap accessorie shops, Victoria's Secret, Radio Shack, etc. See's Candies has left the mall so I see no reason to go. The mall IS clean and well maintained. I think Chico's probably has the most fashionable clothing and accessories of any of the stores but Chico's is more for the mature woman. Kohl's took over the former Mervyn's location but I am not impressed with their stock, their prices or their sales staff. Typical food court fare. But, it's the only game in town for about 250 miles so it gets two stars. read more

I'm giving four stars because it was super clean and open. There weren't as many stores closed as I thought. I live up north in a more populated area and this mall has seemed to fare better than ours these last 10 years. No they don't have anything fancy but that was never expected. The only fantastic malls I've been to are in California,Nevada, ect. Maybe Portland but even there isn't comparable to some. The cookie connection is so good. Complaints are true that most stores are anchor type stores. read more

Oh, what a sad little thing you are now, poor Rogue Valley Mall. It seemed like at least 1/4 if not 1/3 of the mall spaces were empty, especially on the JC Penney side. It still has its anchor stores (Macy's, JC Penney, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's) but it feels like a dying town. As being "the mall" for a wide geographic area you'd think that it could do better, but really it doesn't feel alive any more. read more

This Mall needs an UPDATE and COMPLETE REMODEL !!!!! The ONLY reason this mall gets the business it does is because it is a one man show!!!! The corporation that owns it has many beautiful malls all over. The Mall has the anchor stores and a few chain stores, however it has allowed too many "start up" odd stores that cant make it because the rent is too high and there is a constant turn over and vacancies. The higher end, trendy stores do not want to associate with a "discount" odd ball mall and therefore will not come in. Medford has MANY PEOPLE AND A LARGE AMOUNT OF TRANSPLANTS from California who have the means to shop and spend, but do so online or out of the area as the Mall store selection is sad and mediocre at best. and a old, uninspired décor. To be great and attract great you must be great. The mall is like an orphaned child to the corporation that owns it. If you want to attract the great chain stores, you must have a great place for them to land. This would not only benefit the local economy but the corporation as well, as they would keep all spaces leased and be able to charge and get normal mall lease prices. When the constant praise about the mall is that there is no sales tax....??? This is a state thing not the mall...!!!!! I hope someone will notice this one day, as I would love to shop till I drop in a local mall. read more
