Knew what it took to fix. Hooking up scanner. Pushing a few buttons. $106. ‍. An oil change, inspection and a quick OBD scan cost me $225 after a $50 coupon. Then, will quote you for more work after not fixing the initial problem. Could also be the technicians not giving the right information. I wish I could give these THIEVES 0 stars. My mother had issues with her Ranger Rover. She took it in to a shop and received her codes. Unfortunately, this particular shop did not work on foreign vehicles. My mother chose Rolf's in Fife, due to the close proximity it was to her home. She called and made the appointment and also told them of the codes she had been given. Well, a guy named Leo or Louie told her that they needed to do their own reading, which I found unnecessary due to her having it done already. He charged my mother over $400 to only tell her the EXACT same codes she had already given them from the prior reading. He then told my mother it would be $4200 to fix the issues. I understand Range Rover service is expensive, but he proceeds to tell my mother to junk her vehicle and that it wasn't worth fixing. This is a company that works on Range Rovers and other imports so is he telling everyone to trash their vehicles when they have issues? Bottom line is this man charged my mother over $400 for doing NOTHING. It DOES NOT take 2 hours to hook up a reader to a vehicle to get the error codes. That was a bunch of crap. The company basically received over $400 for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! How many other women has this happened to? My brother just happened to come home from the Air Force and took her vehicle in to Range Rover. They were booked out, but the guy told him of another shop that works on Range Rovers. We took her vehicle there and was able to get it fixed for $2400. It's running Great! read more

UPDATE: DO NOT, I say AGAIN DO NOT BRING YOUR BMW HERE!!! They'll rip you off and they'll LIE to your face about using authentic/genuine BMW PARTS--total BULLSHIT!!! Not sure what this knuckle heads name was but he said I needed a brand new radiator and gave me the spill on why I needed one. As he stated, they ONLY use authentic BMW parts! Well I ended up purchasing one (over $700.00) to later find out that the radiator was NOT an authentic BMW part but was an after market part. After the radiator started causing me problems, I had it checked at another BMW repair shop (a trusted one)! They removed it and showed me the radiator--it was definitely NOT a BMW part! They said I should go back there and get my $$$ back. Next time I'm going to report these types of businesses to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) -- which I should have done in the first place! These guys are tricky! How would I have known if it's an authentic part other than taking their word for it! They are definitely sneaky about things like this and preying on victims like me. they sound so serious when talking to you about a problem and one can never know if it's the truth or not! Every time I come in to Rolf's I have had a very pleasant business experience. Especially in an industry where there can often times be a lot of hesitancy or angst it is always appreciated when there is quality of work coupled with fair prices and excellent customer service. As soon as you walk in they greet you, Kassandra remembers my name and always makes a point to make sure you are comfortable. The owner, Mark, can always be seen and he also goes out of his way to interact with customers. The first time I came in they even gave me a tour of their facility. The nice thing is that they also provide you with a full diagnostic report on your vehicle and they keep the records updated and alert you on future maintenance needs without being pushy or forcing you into unnecessary work. The rewards program is fantastic, as is the referral program - significant discounts can be earned. Also, they regularly have military discounts that bring the price even further down. Do not waste your time and money please! They wanted to charge us $650 for coolant replacement and fog light. When we said no they still charged us $250 for an inspection to tell us nothing was wrong. Few days later, car broke down, had to be saved by my dad. Interesting enough I went to autozone, just a parts store, and in 20 minutes we're able to tell us we need a new thermostat and housing for free. There was leak in the coolant system that they did not even look at when we let them know that was the specific problem. Drum roll please!!! Rolfs it is. On the last few occasions when something went wrong as a result of not being on top of the maintenance to simple problems due to not being able to handle it in time, Rolf's confirmed my suspicions both times. Brought in a sporty sexy 2005 Mercedes Benz C230 for some work to be done on it. Up front and personal, everyone at Rolfs namely Kassandra Lane, Mario, and Jake take the best care of the vehicles with a lot of love and attention by keeping me posted on what's going on, gives me the pros and cons of the repair (usually the pros outweigh the cons) like a good doctor does. If anything, auto surgeons come to mind because they diagnose the problem, investigate everything, communicate with all the information, and cure it. I had a sneaky suspicion was something was wrong the tires on the 2015 C300 and of course no surprise Jake confirmed my thoughts and replaced all four tires and since I was in a rush, they made it a point to make sure everything was on point. My experience with Jake, Mario, and Kassandra is this: courteous, friendliest, thoughtful, most professional, and caring individuals CONSISTENTLY. The entire team is an absolute pleasure who always comes through, brutally up front (no lies, no sugar coating, says how it is), respectable, and trustworthy which shines in everyone at Rolfs. I wish they opened up a Rolfs in New York-that would be super. Another time, something was wrong with the battery or something and I got on the phone with Kassandra and she walked me through everything-it doesnt get better than this folks. With advance notice, they provide loaner cars (got a 5 series) and I needed to travel outside of 100 miles so I returned it and utilized airline points/mileage instead. 6 months or so later, and my ML320 hasn't dropped one drop of oil. Not bad for a tube of sealant for 8 dollars. If they had bothered to clean the engine to diagnose my problem it would have been obvious, but then they couldn't overcharge me with a totally nonsensical estimate, including things that were brand new. Lazy and incompetent is not what I want in a shop. I would never take an electrical problem to them either as they failed to fix any of the electrical problems on my C230 or 300E despite thousands upon thousands of dollars spent. I ended up having to trade my 300E in because after a "fix" costing me $1,500 the problem was back a week later. If you have many to waste go here. I would rather pay more at the dealership for competence and knowledgeable technicians. read more

Bought fathers car from him. It has an unknown persisting electrical problem. Installed my subs and Amp and car becomes Un-driveable (gets stuck in gear/ won't shift/ won't come out of park) Trip one to Rolf's: I was recommended to upgrade the battery (even though my father JUST put a new one in within 2 months) to an AGM battery which cost around 250 just for the battery. After paying 804 for Diagnostic+part+labor I trusted that my car was fixed (After all I'd done business with these guys for 10+ years). I got the car back with my subs and amp hooked up and working properly. Simultaneously I had a cracked rim that took a weekend to weld. Upon pick up for my rim completion, my car won't start, and won't jump, AFTER ROLF'S RECOMMENDATION FOR A 250 BATTERY. They agree to see the car again. TRIP TWO to Rolf's: Same day I get a call saying they didn't actually check for a power draw. They just wrote up a recommendation for the AGM battery and went with it.. which cost ME not them. After speaking with one of the employees I was told that I'd have to pay again! But instead of paying the full 300 for the return diagnostic, I'd pay around 150 and split it with the shop.. after I pick the car up for the second time. (Subs and amp disconnected) I make it home, then leave to handle errands... I get on the freeway and feel a hard shift. I pulled over on the side of the freeway to restart my car. I put it back into drive and it's stuck in first gear! ON THE FREEWAY. I'm frustrated at this point because now I've used my rent money to pay for this repair and the problem isn't fixed in fact it's gotten worse and put me in a potentially dangerous situation. Unfortunately it was a Friday and the shop had closed so I was SOL. I ended up limping my car back home. On Sunday (two days ago) I attempted to start the car with no luck the first 20-30 cranks. Finally I was able to start it and back out for a test drive. As I put it in drive and hit the gas, I see the RPMs rev but no physical acceleration. I turned my car off, to reset it. Ten minutes and 30 cranks later I was able to start it and put it in drive. But it wouldn't not shift out of first gear. After parking it back in the yard my father (not a mechanic) troubleshooted the issue and deduced the problem to be something stemming from a fiber optics cable for the backup camera. After a couple jiggles and a push on some cables under the transmission shifter cover the car was starting on the first crank, EVERYTIME. Now I'm really frustrated.. $950 (which is exactly my rent) could have been partially saved if not all. I did not need a new battery. I do not need a new battery $250 battery. After a falling out with Mark the owner today I was told that they will not return the unneeded battery and. I was told by an employee only way they'll do anything for me is if I get it fixed elsewhere and bring them the completed work order with what was fixed. Which I intend on doing. When I walked into the office I was greeted by the owner and then by Cassandra and Cole at the front desk. I was then given a ride home from Cole. Nice young man. Then when my vehicle was finished being worked on they came and picked me up from my home. They were honest and transparent during their explanation of costs and work performed. Well, I've already completed a Facebook review, but, I feel compelled to add this Yelp review for anyone out there looking for foreign auto repair...(not quite sure if it's just foreign autos...worth checking, for sure) first off, the place is exceptionally clean and state of the art...the people are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. The feeling of being valued as a customer, is beyond today's standards...and then! (This might be the best part...) they have a state of the art diagnostic system that sends your cars information to your phone! So, there's a picture of your car, a picture of your technician, and you can see all the tests done on your vehicle. Talk about transparency! Car repairs can be so intimidating - this takes all that worry and concern out of the picture! While there was nothing about my car that needed addressing, they explained that if, down the road, there is an issue, that picture is sent to you, so you can see what they're talking about...After recently dealing with a "reputable" dealership that tried to get me for a $3,000 repair on a different car, (which I ended up getting fixed for FREE), I left Rolf's feeling so blessed and lucky to have had the pleasure of doing business with them...go to Rolf's....customer for life... read more

Rolf's had done my brake work for me before and I naturally thought of them and left a message because they had been very courteous, knowledgeable and respectful. I was worried they would not get my voicemail because I thought they might be closed in observance of 4th of July. They WERE closed, but Kassandra called me right back and after she got the low down on my situation - that we definitely needed our car (I was definitely freaking out at this point), she took care of me, called a tow truck, called a tech on his day off, texted me until the tow truck arrived, and showed up to the shop on her day off with a tech who was also off that day. I want to give Rolf's the highest possible "thumbs up" for everything they do. Knowledge, customer service, professionalism and sincere care for the client -- Rolfs excelled in every category. My 2000 VW Passat over-heated as I was passing through Fife. I was a LONG way from home. I searched for foreign car mechanics on the internet, and was blessed to find that Rolfs was only a mile away. After assessing the needed repairs, which I could not take care of right then because of time constraints to get back home, Rolf's mechanic suggested a temporary solution that would make my car functional enough to get home to get the full repairs done. This temporary solution took just a few minutes and cost very little. They totally saved me. Any other mechanic, when faced with this scenario, would likely have said "Well, those are the repairs you need. Take it or leave it." I was blown away when Rolf's mechanic said "I have an idea to get you home -- then go get the car fixed right away by a mechanic back home." It seemed like everyone in the shop got involved in finding a solution for me. I was so impressed my the brainstorming of the entire team, especially for a client who was NOT going to spend a ton of money there. I'm very happy to have found this place. It is by far the best service I have received when dealing with my vehicle. Shenay was extremely helpful on the initial phone call getting a quote. She was able to match a less expensive price I received somewhere else. The actual service on my car was very quick and I was happy they didn't try to up-sell me on unnecessary services. Then I was informed of their free roadside assistance and rewards program, and to top it all off, it included a free car wash at another establishment. They also gave me a ride to and from my home (just 2 miles away) since my ride was unavailable. I love to be able to support the independent businesses and this is exactly why. I love this place. I have a Mark IV Jetta 1.8T that can be very temperamental. I was having an oil leak issue that another shop claimed to be a failing turbo and wanted to charge me 3 grand to fix....I took it to Rolf's and Kassandra (Lakewood shop) saved my life and my wallet. Turbo was just fine (which I suspected given I had no other issues than an oil leak). This shop cares. They are thorough and honest and fair. I picked up my car and it honestly drives like brand new. No more leak, lots of power, and now she lives up to being one of the funnest cars to drive....I had no idea what I was missing until the great people at Rolf's found all her little issues and fixed them perfectly. I will never bring my European car anywhere else. She's found a new place to address her inherent VW idiosyncrasies. I love the owner loyalty program, too! Several years ago I had a bad experience with Rolf's and I swore at that time I'd never go back. I recently needed a Check Engine Light looked into and I somehow had a case of amnesia and scheduled an appointment. While they did get the problem fixed, they did also reminded me what made me never want to go there again. Simply put, they over charge, look for additional work to perform and overcharge, and they work very hard to confuse and bamboozle you when they discuss the charges. They have smarmy service reps that throw around words like "total" and "everything" and then when you're presented with a bill that's significantly higher, they make you feel like you're the idiot who was confused and you should just hand over the credit card to give them your $1400 "investment." read more

Ok, just got back from Afghanistan and my BMX X5 was in storage for 9 months. I started the vehicle and multiple things were wrong or broke. I first took it to North West BMW and was just treated badly then they had the nerve to tell me they can possibly take my car in two weeks from now. Was pretty pissed cause I just got back from a combat deployment and that was my only mode of transportation. I just couldn't figure out why they were so cold hearted. I then took it to a shop that claimed they worked on BMWs. Dropped it off and got a quote back for 2 grand. They said because of parts and labor. Something was fishy so I looked around and found Rolf's. I was cautious because they specialized in imports and assumed it was going to cost an arm and a leg. I dropped the X5 off and got a call in 4 hours on what they thought was wrong. They were right with everything and the cost was outstanding. It wasn't what I expected and was surprised what they charged. Here are 3 things that will make me come back for their business. 1. They know what there talking about. I can spot bullshit a mile away and these guys were sincere. 2. There fast but do quality work 3. PRICE! Go to these guys if you have issues with your BMW. Stay away from the NW BMW! read more

Under no circumstances go here - they are thieves and liars!!!! I took my car in for a simple brake job. They also took a look at the engine, since it was running rough for a few seconds after it was started when it was cold. I was very clear when I dropped off the car at 7:45am that I needed the brakes done that day, so that I could use the car for work the next business day. They stated they understood. I talked to them again around 1:30pm - they hadn't started any work, but they stated that they would get the parts and complete the brake work that very day, with "no problems at all" before they closed at 5:30pm. I then called at 4pm to check on the status of the work. They stated that the work was done and that I could come pick it up anytime. I drove the 45 minutes over to there and paid the $800 for the brakes. When they brought the car around, the navigation screen still had the warning that the brakes needed to be changed. I went back in, assuming it was just a simple reset of the warning light. It turns out, THEY NEVER DID ANY WORK AT ALL!!!! The new brake parts were still on the shelf. They were very happy and willing to have me pay $800 for work that was never done, and to drive off without informing me that they hadn't done any work. That is FRAUD!!!!! They then just wanted to make the problem go away. They refunded my money and I left. I took a whole day off of work, spent more than 2 hours driving back and forth, and was cheated in the end. They are completely despicable and untrustworthy. They will lie to you, not do work, and charge you for it as well. If they can't handle a simple brake pad replacement, then there is no level of job, no matter now small, that they CAN do appropriately. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more
