We had a blast here roller skating! It took me back to my childhood. Wish the music was more varied. The pizza served was reminiscent of frozen pizza. Would definitely come back the next time we want to get some skating in!

Fun spot to take the kids to do something fun Reasonably priced compared to most of the activities in Reno

Had fun, but was extremely disappointed when I purchased their tots...5.00 for an order of 8 small L shaped tots. You should advertise it as such! 62 cents a tot is diabolical!

Only skating spot in town, (aside from seasonal opportunities) so we'll keep rolling back--but it's definitely got some areas of improvement. 1) Feels like the entire place is run by three teenagers doing the work of 6+. No shade, they're hustling--but it shows with the longer wait times and staff popping up at multiple stations. 2) It's really hot inside! A few more fans or better A/C units would go a long way. There seems to be one big fan at the far end of the rink, which is a relief to skate by, but otherwise it's toasty which means there's a bit of a B.O. smell 3) Weirdly, no soda refills... or giving out lids, period. Sounds like asking for a spill in skates. Bring a water bottle or enjoy the single water fountain. 4) Very much expected - but the entire place feels run down. I'm sure it's because of the lack of interest, location, or costly maintenance, but still sad. The fact that they partner with "Kids Skate Free" is cool, but there's a surprise $5 annual membership per kid. Still a deal, but just FYI. My kids love going & get tired out (as per the plan) from going! On the plus side: the music mix is . Total throwback vibes and current hits to keep everyone grooving. Plus the staff all seem to be skating pros!

I took my daughter to check out one of the summer skate special they were advertising, $7 for Monday-Thursday skate 1-4 pm. What a great deal! Plus when we arrived there was no line, just a group of summer camp kids. I thought I would have to pay for a spectator fee like they usually charge but nope! What a nice surprise! I got to enjoy listening to a great mix of music while my daughter burns off some energy skating, win-win :)

Horrible just HORRIBLE. the staff is rude as hell. If you want a family friendly pick a different skating rink. Idk her name but she was pregnant and rude as hell and there was someone else there dress unprofessional in a crop top saying i was rude because they wouldnt let me have a roller helper for a 11 year old girl. DO NOT COME HERE

You much check out this commercial... trust me

We come to Roller Kingdom every year for my kids' school Family Skate Night fundraiser, and it's always a blast! My kids have such a great time skating with all their friends, and it's awesome that Roller Kingdom donates a portion of the proceeds back to the school. It's a fun night for a good cause! The atmosphere is always lively--with great music, colorful lights, and several games that get all the kids involved. It really creates a fun, energetic vibe that keeps them moving the whole time. While I haven't personally tried the food yet, they do offer plenty of kid-friendly options like pizza, chicken strips, Slurpees, and more--basically all the staples kids love. I also noticed some flyers while we were there promoting upcoming themed nights like "Swifties Night" and "K-pop Night"--definitely thinking about checking one of those out. I know my daughter would be thrilled! Roller Kingdom is the only indoor skating rink in Reno, and it's a fantastic, reasonably priced option for family fun--especially when the weather gets colder and you're looking for something active to do indoors. Oh, and if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking out Roller Kingdom's official commercial video on YouTube. It is truly the best commercial I have ever seen, and something everyone needs to experience!

Family friendly place Yes done games and vending machines are down at times im sure they are working on it. This place been here for a good minute carpet all stuck in is times. I would hope they move the quarter dispenser with the actual card once for the games. I got 10$ quarters only to find out it's card for games. So little frustrated due to cars dispenser is located by skates and not the games. Other then that Im here to let my kids enjoy the day. And they are having a blast food pricing is reasonable parking is good. Will return for more kids event. Glade my kids are enjoying them self

Been coming to this place for years now. Always a great atmosphere. You can request songs for cheap. The people who skate here are quite magical. Honestly i come here more than the gym lol. I Bought my first skates tonight. Aaliyah was knowledgeable and helpful. She made the experience comfortable for me. Plus there's a 20% sale going on. On top of that you get a $50 credit. Can't beat that.

My brother and this wife booked out Roller Kingdom for my nieces birthdays. I always forget about this place until my kids ask to come here with their friends. I don't know why because it's affordable fun for the whole family and it's a great workout. Prior to this last visit my family and I attended two school family skate night fundraisers. Some of us are more coordinated than others. I grew up on my skates and rollerblades. My kids were impressed by my skills on skates. I had more fun then they did. The staff hosting was great. I love any venue that allows outside food and drinks. I know it saved my brother some money. We had a blast as a family. Thank you for our family's memories.

    Tater tots $5. It's almost $1/ tot

Rental skates are old and uncomfortable. $3 charge to enter if you are not skating. The food is very overpriced, now I know and would not buy food here again. Overall skating is fun and the music is good. There is no other options in the area so I guess they know that.

Roller Kingdom is great for families or anyone looking to bust a move on a roller skate or roller blade. Our most recent visit was for a kid's birthday party and everyone seemed to have a great time. The music was great and got the people going. HEADS UP! it can get real toasty and hot real quick on the summer seasons especially in the rink. I don't think they have an AC and boy was i sweating. A few people I spoke with expressed that it was hot as well. Add Roller Kingdom on your to do list if you're looking for something fun to do in the area. Perhaps it will be a lot cooler after the summer season or if they have some type of AC going.

My grandsons had a terrific afternoon here, getting more and more confident as the day went along. The floor seemed to be in good condition, Kaj especially liked the lighting, the music was fun and at a tolerable level. The young man spinning tunes was hard to understand, not sure if it was the sound system or he was talking too fast. They have an odd rule about touching the wall, trying to keep the covering clean?? And it took at least three repetitions to figure out what he said! If a person is falling, don't you reach for something to hold onto? I also don't get the need for a spectator fee, perhaps to keep the kids cost down?? I really appreciated the seating with back support in clear view of the skating floor. Food prices seemed reasonable, especially compared to crazy expensive other places we've been to this visit. The pizza could use improvement especially the cardboard crust! First pizza ever my grandsons didn't like. Maybe find out where Urban Air gets their much tastier pizzas! It's OK to charge more for edible pizza! Hint to staff: if you make a fresh batch of popcorn every session the aroma with cause a sellout, even when mixed into leftovers. A number of Saturday birthday parties seemed to be having a grand time on the main floor and in party rooms. My teen and preteen grandsons definitely want to come here again during their next visit!

    Good rental skates!

These thoughtful touches create a festive, memorable atmosphere that the whole family loved. The only downside was that the ice wasn't resurfaced during our visit, which left the surface quite choppy and made skating a bit more challenging. I love this little free rink! I've been coming here for several years now and enjoy the outdoor…read moreskating in the heart of the Northstar village. There are, however, a few downsides: - Parking can be crazy and $$ if it's high ski season (though today I got very lucky and snagged a free spot up close since there's very little snow on the mountains) - The rink is not well maintained. The Zamboni comes out so rarely that in all of my years visiting, I've only seen it ONCE. That makes for a choppy, slushy mess of a rink and explains why this place clears out pretty quickly sometimes. Not fun. - There are a LOT of first-time skaters here from tots to adults. (The bigger they are, the harder they fall!) This is not your typical New England hockey rink or even your Midwest mall rink. No amenities exist like the assisted skate thing that kids hold onto while they learn to skate (there would be no room for that anyhow; see next bullet). Expect to get plowed into once or twice. - The rink is REALLY small. Your feet will hurt from making tight turns and avoiding flying ninja turtles (see previous bullet). They don't prescribe a direction to skate, but everyone generally skates counter-clockwise. - There's rarely, if ever, anyone official on the ice. Don't expect to have anyone monitoring skaters or providing first-aid assistance. Welcome to the wild west! The best part is that it's free to skate (skate rentals are extra) and the surrounding area is full of comfy seats near fire pits and overhead heaters. Sometimes there's a live band, which makes for an even better skating experience (otherwise there's not really any music, so I'd advise packing your iPod). You can also enjoy the smells of the surrounding restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries as you weave around scared adults or conga-line dancing teens. And once you've had your fill of dodging bad skaters all afternoon, just mosey on up to one of the many bars in the village and relax with a beer!

First of all, the ice is great here and it's a great place to skate. If you aren't wanting to go to South Lake Tahoe, this is really your only other option. They hold many events here including the amateur hockey team games and the UNR team games, so the rink is well kept. The lessons have been decent quality. Most instructors are young ladies, likely high school students, but they do a good enough job for my 4 year old. You get a fair price for a few months of lessons and you get some free public skate passes included. This is a great perk if you can make their public skate work in your schedule. Most of the times are during the workday and school day, there are not many weekend sessions available. (See photo of January 2026 calendar). Not ideal for a working family. My biggest issue with Reno Ice and the reason for four stars is that the communication is not good. They rarely answer the phone when you call, and if they do, it's likely the employee won't know the answer to your questions. The skate lessons are very challenging and confusing to sign up for and no one is really able to help you or explain it to you. Most front desk attendants are young and they aren't able to help you much if it's outside the realm of handing you rental skates and checking you in. Additionally, we showed up for lessons one night and the rink was completely shut down due to a refrigerant leak. While I realize this is a major emergency, a quick email to families enrolled in lessons would have been great and saved us a drive from Carson City. Don't get me wrong, this is a great place to skate, but there is certainly room for improvement in some areas of running a business. Bundle up, bring the fam, and enjoy a skate session here!
