Just left this place, very very cute shop with a nice cheese and wine selection. Only downfall was my girlfriend and I ordered a custom cheese tasting, then waited 40 min for it to come, which it didn't because we finally cancelled our order. I had let the staff know beforehand my intentions to purchase a bunch of cheese and my friend, who is a sommelier, had intentions to purchase wine. We decided to leave without making any purchases. They did comp our wine and beer we had while we waited, however, you just can't beat good customer service that is based on meeting a customers expectations.. Thing is...the phone receiver was just sitting on your counter. A guy answered, asked me to hold on, and then just set down the receiver. I overheard many conversations, such as how it is better to have Prosecco with mimosas instead of using an $80 bottle of champagne. Find those two people and retrain them. read more

Excellent wine selection and beers. Most importantly the "event planner" ladies were excellent helping us decide choices for a large sailboat regatta oyster cookout. My sister came to visit from Ohio. I wanted to buy some wine and cheese for her stay. I took her to Wine & Chese so we could look around. The y greeted us with enthusiasm and discovered our mission. After several different "tastings" of both wine & cheese we made our selections and left. I felt like a "rock star". We were the only customers at the time and treated like royalty. After a delicious wine flight, we choose a cheese called D'affinois that was very soft and buttery with a side of watermelon jelly to enjoy with our favorite wines, a Argentinian Malbec and a Pinot Gris. My husband and I couldn't be happier with both the service and the experience we had here. We walked in to do some wine tasting, and Stephanie was so welcoming and helpful. She asked us about our wine tastes, and recommended a flight of 6 wines that were delicious, and still a departure from our "normal" wine choices. She also put together a cheese pairing with the wine flights that were absolutely delicious. When we were done, I wanted to stay for more! To the owner, I have been a loyal customer for many years. My career is in customer service. I meet a lot of people and the subject of holistic health frequently arises. I constantly refer friends, coworkers and clients to your business. I am aware that this is the only Health Store on the island. I value the concept of supporting local businesses and have always appreciated the help, care and convenience I have received from every employee at you store. The only exception to my otherwise positive experiences has always been, without fail, from the older woman with short hair who ironically, can usually be spotted smoking in front (slightly to the left) of the store. This worker has been extremely bitter, ill-mannered and uncivil towards me on several occasions. I can no longer tolerate this insolent behavior and refuse to subject any more personal associates to this business as a result of this particular staff member's vile customer service and obnoxious work ethic. This employee is a disgrace to your business. I cringe every time I am forced to have to deal with it. I have recently discovered an exceptional website, Vitacost.com. This fantastic website offers free shipping within two days and prices that are usually 50% less than your store. It is unfortunate that this worker has influenced mine, as well as others, decision to no longer support your local business. In addition, I will no longer be referring people to your business. I will also be certain to make everyone within my reach aware of this superior online alternative, as it is more affordable and lacks the callous attitude towards its customers. We've been to Hilton Head for years, and I'm sorry to say we just found this spot. They have a great wine selection, sold at retail prices; we popped a bottle and had a great cheese plate selected by the owner. She started a fire in the fire pit on their back patio and we stayed for hours. If you want a bottle of wine, good craft beer, fine cheeses, you found the right spot. read more
