Amazing ride with Nancy and Melissa. The great things about this place are as follows: 1- It's a woman owned local business. 2- They care deeply about their horses and make sure you are able to ride them safely. 3- You get a little mini lesson in horsemanship as you ride. It's MUCH more interactive than a typical trail ride. I felt like my horse, Blossom, actually responded to me (and my mistakes!) rather than the robotic, completely desensitized horses at some other places. 4- You get a really lovey tour of the vineyard. The trail is shaded and lovely. All in all I highly recommend this place. We loved it!!!

I got to ride such a good horse named blue he was so good to me this was my first time ever riding a horse .

If you're thinking of enjoying a nice horse ride down a beautiful trail with grapes, apples, plums I Highly recommend this place it was my first time ever and Nancy our trail guide was super attentive and very welcoming as well as Melissa and her husband ! Thankyou so much for making this such an amazing first time I learned a lot and I can't wait to go back !

We visited while in town for a Father's Day mini-break weekend. What a great find! Nancy is a fantastic guide and experience leader, Melissa was friendly and super helpful, and we absolutely loved the relaxed and happy horses. My 11-year-old son had never ridden before, and this was the best possible first horseback riding experience for him; Nancy and Melissa were encouraging, and his horse was very chill (but not half-asleep!). He had to learn as he went, and Nancy was a great teacher. The surprise for me was the content of the tour -- I was expecting to just have a nice horseback ride in a pretty area, but I was really impressed with Nancy's presentation of the history and context of the vineyard and other aspects of the property. It was conversational, informative, and fun. We definitely recommend this tour!

I had such a wonderful time, I surprised my grandma for her birthday and she did amazing, the whole family was so sweet and accommodating especially since it was my grandmothers first time in a long time, I would definitely recommend going here. They have really good COVID procedure in place so it makes you feel safe! The horses are well taken care of as you can tell they are strong and don't smell. It was an hour ride and it was great!

Great experience! We went to this place with my wife on my birthday and had so much fun that also like therapy spending time with this cute horses. Owners were so kind and helpful. We'll be back for sure

Nancy, Melissa and jade were the best!

The nicest people I have met in a long time! From speaking to Melissa to make the reservation to getting on the property and to the horses. Was so incredibly easy and no pressure for my son who had never road a horse before.... Nancy was so encouraging and gentle with him. Would go back again in a heartbeat! Cheers!

    Two riders having fun

We went for a horse ride a Rollin F Ranch today and it was a very nice time. Nancy is awesome and had some good stories. The horses Beau and Dandy were great. They gave us a good smooth ride. I would recommend Rollin F Ranch if you would like to go for a horse ride. Great scenery, art and vineyards along the way. Great day!

My 7 year old son and I had a great ride around Rollin F Ranch today. The land has been in the family's possession for over 100 years. They have apple trees and vineyards that the horses walk among. It was well organized and NAncy took good care of us. Our horses were well behaved and it felt safe. My son loved it!

My partner and I did a private Eagle View ride, and on our horseback riding hike, a couple of the staff members chatted with us while guiding us along the trail. My partner was hoping that they'd share a little more about horses or the trail, but I didn't mind so much. The staff also helped us take photos. Five Brooks is the riding stables that provides a variety of group or private guided horseback rides, with a view of the ocean and includes rides along Salmon Creek or on the beach ! We choose the Picnic private ride along Salmon Creek which included a up hill majestic overlook ride where hawks and Ospreys were, and a duck pond where Herons and Egrets were seen, all beautiful and natural landscapes. We lucked out as it was a cloudless day with 7 mph winds as this area can be more windy and foggy. Andrea our guide was super helpful, friendly, accommodating and so easy to ride with, explaining the personalities of our horses. They help you mount and dismount, fit you to the saddle and encourage you to pet and talk to your horse. We rode up hill and down and the horses were very fit and in good health and eager to trot up the hill! I weigh 207 lbs and my horse Cody was not lazy underneath me a they have horses that will accommodate larger people. The views were spectacular and the trotting was fun. After our ride we came back to the ranch stables for a picnic on a park like table in a meadow that was tasty deli sandwiches, chips, Gatorade and some Snickerdoodle cookies, we brought our own wine which is allowed. It was a great ride, nice pace and the horses were fantastic, easy to ride, steer, and very easy going but energetic and not tired as they can be in public riding stables. Next time I go back I want to do the beach ride! Everything went well overall, the only minor hick up was my triple E width boots were too wide for the stir ups but they just moved them to a sideways position and adjusted the length and was fine. Leave earlier than GPS says as it takes longer on rural roads to give yourself time and there are speed bumps on the entrance road to the Ranch, so it's a slow approach. Cowboy Up!

I'd be remiss if I didn't also give honorable mention to Carley, who is not our instructor, but who is often on the training grounds during our appointment time. My wife was paired with Matty and Zero (his horse), and I was with Christina and her horse (forget the name).... For my wife, she had a lovely time. Her horse gave a little sass. For my ride, although I very much enjoy conversation and Christina was a very knowledgeable and friendly host, I do wish that I had been able to experience more of the ride experience in quietude. Taking in the views and talking with my wife a little more. Instead, I feel like Christina and I were sharing our life stories. Although I am not faulting her for the mutual conversation...... I never really thought I could find a trainer or facility that compared to where I grew up riding. Then I found Brigitte Scholl and Monarch on the American Saddle Horse Association website in January of 2010. Monarch Stables is the best barn I could ever have imagined. The facility is beautiful, well-equipped, and serene. Most importantly, Brigitte Scholl, the owner and trainer is a true horse whisperer and a gifted riding instructor. She operates every aspect of Monarch Stables with passion and integrity. Every horse is cared for immaculately and in a manner uniquely suited to his/her personality. In my opinion there's no better outlet: through horseback riding they can learn the subtleties of communication with both horses and people, the responsibility of caring for an animal, the self-confidence that comes from competing with true sportsmanship.

She is an accomplished rider herself which doesn't always necessarily translate into being a great instructor, but in Erin's case, she is not only a talented rider, but also instructor. My 6 year old daughter absolutely loves her (and Katie) and counts the days until her next lesson! They have helped nurture a passion for horses. Erin really takes her time and is so genuine! She teaches horsemanship, not just riding which I think is so important. I have been around horses my whole life and have trained with countless instructors when I was younger. Finding the right instructor for my daughter was important to me. I wanted her to be able to build a relationship with her instructor as well as the horse. You don't get this at a lot of lesson facilities, especially for beginner riders. A lot of barns feel cold and very business like -- you get on the horse, you ride for 25-30 minutes and then go home -- not with Erin and Katie. I have never felt rushed. It is a totally different experience riding at her facility -- it is fun, educational, safe, and my daughter has gotten so much out of her lessons in just 6 months. I feel so lucky that a friend referred us (Her daughter goes to school with my daughter and was riding with Erin). As another reviewer pointed out, Erin is so gentle, yet not afraid to push a little in a good way. She has given my daughter so much confidence. My daughter has made so much progress thanks to All the Kings Horses. It is a whole family experience visiting Erin's ranch in Calistoga -- even my 4 year old has a blast! And we have all fallen in love with Erin's lesson ponies/horses! I can't say enough about All the King's Horses.
