The wife and I went here for lunch. Great, great decision. Let's talk about service, food/drink, and vibe. Service. We sat at the bar, although they have cool seats out the front door, and a nice patio also. I loved the bar area. Kook was our bartender. He immediately greeted us, and gave us stellar service throughout our visit. We got some history on the place, along with how they make their food. Sometimes, you get service from someone who might know a menu and the dishes, but it is just knowledge. And sometimes you get service from someone who has true passion for what they are serving. Kook gave us service where every explanation, every description, and every check-in filled was filled with absolute passion for BBQ food. You could tell he loves, loves, loves what he does. Food/Drink. They had a West Coast IPA, which is always a good thing, and the wife had vodka/lemonade. We decided to share the two meat plate with brisket and burnt ends, with mac and cheese and cucumber salad as our sides. The brisket was solid, as was the cucumber salad and mac and cheese, but the burnt ends were ridiculously good. Like, where does it go on my all-time list good. Worth the trip alone. They had sauces on the bar, but the real magic was on a shelf in the back. Our favorites were the green chili and Alabama white. Vibe. I personally LOVED this place. We were there during a slow time, but you got the feeling that it would be a really fun place when packed. Widespread Panic stuff (owners are fans) on all of the walls...another winner for me. OU banner, which my wife loved (owner went to OU). Cool bar area, other parts to sit in, chill music in the background. Loved the energy of the place. I was told also that their French Dip sandwich is another ringer. I plan on coming back to get that next. I highly recommend this place...especially the burnt ends...and see you there.

Awesome all around. Generally well priced for what you get and meat seems of quality, Some of the sides are only okay, but all the meats have been Lack of parking is a bummer but the area is easy enough to find something nearby. Happy they multiple locations! Plus free WiFi

The moment I walked in I was greeted with a big smile! This place feels so warm and welcoming ! We popped in to get some food to go and I was so captivated by the heart and stories and art in this place. They also hold lots of local and fun events like music bingo. The food when we got home was still hot and absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and there were so many sauces to choose from. There was this jalapeño one that was sweet and spicy and my absolute fave! They have a brisket Swiss dip sandwich (I forget the exact name) but omg yes the roll was fluffy and tasty and the meat perfect and just so much flavor ! We got also some brisket and sausage mashed potatoes and gravy potato salad (I'm a potato gal) and those burnt ends we got OMG... so much flavor and crunch but also juicy how do they do it? I will be doing a reel this week on them for more info if you are curious. And this was not a promo or food given to us or anything like that. Just had such a great experience here for the first time and will be in again soon!

Came for dinner, my partner had the 3 meat plate and I had the dry rub chicken wings with blue cheese. My wings were a bit too salty for me but the blue cheese helped, overall just ok. I didn't get to try my partner's plate but he reported that he enjoyed his selection of meats, overall good. I'm giving a higher score of 4 because a lot of over eateries I've tried during my visit (first time here) in Denver had been too salty for me so it may just be a me issue. Also, service was great, everyone was very friendly and welcoming - very cozy spot!

Food is delicious, flavorful, not drenched in sauce (hate that). I did get the greens and Mac/cheese sides- awesome!!!!! Reminded me of the Midwest bbq joints. FYI- Mac/cheese has lots of black pepper I tried the beef brisket, burnt ends, and fried pork rib tips- recommend all of them! Tom was my server and so fricking fabulous!!!! Thank you!

More like, Holy Smokes BBQ this place is phenomenal. All the Yelp reviews told me to order this place for takeout to a store I was going to. Placed my online order, was ready when I arrived. Indoor & outdoor seating, staff was friendly, everything was clean, and holy moly this place is delicious. I have a high standard for BBQ because my brother is in the food industry as well. Checked out this place for the first time and loved it! We just had a hankering for some BBQ and decided to give this place a try. It's located near Wadsworth and 38th. I ordered online and drove to pick up my order. One thing I liked was there was a parking lot that I just pulled in and went to the front door. I hear this place can get busy but I had no problem finding a spot and getting in to pick up my order on a Sunday afternoon. I must have been a minute early but they told me I could get my sauces towards the back of the area. While I was picking out my sauces they brought my order all packed and loaded into a large hand carry paper bag. This first time we both tried the rib plate. When you add a side dish it comes to around $15. My side dish was fries and hers was a cucumber salad. Other available sides include baked beans and even collard greens! The ribs themselves were meaty and quite good even before adding a sauce. The initial taste was delightful and tantalizing! As an additional surprise we received an extra rib so it was four instead of three. Yum it's just great. There is seating inside and they have a nice outside covered patio. I can see why this place is popular. It clicks all the boxes and it's a true BBQ place. Nothing fancy here but it's spot on for real BBQ. If you're in the area stop in and give them a try. Then enjoy your meal just like we did. I was in and out so fast that I did not take enough photos but I'll post what I did take for your review.

The staff were amazing and the pulled pork, mac, and baked beans were pretty good, and the burnt ends were amazing, but my main concern was the brisket. It was dry and tough, I almost had to use a knife to cut it instead of the fork. Brisket is supposed to be the trophy of every bbq restaurant. It should be among the best meats you offer, so I thought it might be an off day or something. I wanted to check with someone before I posted this review and when I asked someone with a long beard who seemed to be in his 40's if it's normally that tough and he actually struggled to cut it in two with the fork, then his response was that brisket shouldn't be tender, and should be chewy. That you shouldn't be able to pull it apart or stretch it and if you can that's how you know it's overcooked. I've worked at a few bbq restaurants and that's definitely not true, it's the toughest driest brisket I've ever had and if tender juicy brisket means it's wrong I don't want to be right. read more

You guys made my young people so happy with the bbq holiday dinner. You really know how to serve upwards of 100 young people (ages 17-24)! The quality was amazing and no one left hungry that's for sure. Been eating your bbq for over 20 years and the quality has not changed! 100% recommend for a meal or catering! This place does an amazing job on the BBQ. I've had 2 orders to go once was about a month ago the other was last evening. During one of my visits I had an appetizer special while I was waiting. . The staff was friendly and attentive. Inside there were the Olympics on the TVs, go USA. I definitely want to go back and eat a full meal there instead of taking it home. read more

Spot on Green Chile! Just enough spice with bits of beef mixed in. The best I have experienced in CO. Love the dry rubbed wings and brisket. Don't let a review steer you away. The ribs are on point and unlike several reviews there are more than 5 sauces available. The spicey is has a great balance of sweetness and spice. The mac and cheese with brisket is a go to! Previous reviews mentioned pricing, but meat is the most expensive staple and from personal experience with a family restaurant, prices on everything have gone up so don't blame them as they need to pass the costs on to survive. Oh, I forgot to mention the jalapeno cornbread....yummmm. Great service as well! A great place to watch a game and get your fix of food done with care. read more

WE loved the food. We went to the Wheatridge location as we had other reasons to be in Wheatridge. Tom was so helpful. WE enjoyed the Ribs, burnt ends. Our sides were delicious. collard greens, seasoned fried and beans. We will return when we are in the area. and have plans to try another location closer to our home. read more

I wanted to love this place but it just isn't good BBQ. 1. No sampler platter: the sampler platter is a staple at any bbq place. People want to be able to try different types of meat. 2. Everything a la carte, even sides. They want you to spend as much money as possible. Full price for meat. Full price for a side. You need to offer meals e.x. brisket and 2 sides. Choose 3 meats and 1 side 3. Horrible brisket: so dry, so wrong. No flavor, might as well be beef jerkey 4. Only 2 sauces. What kind of BBQ place only has options for bbq and spicy bbq 5. Really bad collard greens 2 stars for the Mac and cheese Try any other BBQ place in the city because this isn't it read more

Went to their newest location on 38th in Wheatridge. Indoor and outdoor seating, was a great day for outdoor. Counter ordering with table delivery. And the BBQ!! Really good, my son and I split the whole smoker and had plenty to bring home. Brisket, Burnt Ends, Pulled Pork, Turkey Breast, Smoked Sausage and Hot Links with Cole Slaw, Potato Salad, Greens and Jalapeno Corn Bread. Also had an order of Chicken Wings, unlike any we ever had. Really good bbq. I walked in to do a take out order and was treated very well. They took my order and had it to me in a timely manner. They have many bbq sauce options, which are all very good! This location used to be Right Coast Pizza (in case you are wondering about the location), and it's basically the same layout. Ambiance is good with plenty of seating inside and outside. read more

So far this place has been solid and love the location and patio. Good turkey, brisket, good nachos, and good sides. The brisket nachos could've distributed the toppings a bit more evenly and could use a little more brisket but solid overall, just order a side of queso for all the plain chips you end up with. Also solid service. Wish they had more taps. Will be back to try more! read more

Located inside a food court/mall. Cool thing is everyone can grab food from the places they want and sit and eat together. I had found a strawberry vanilla cream ale to enjoy with my bbq. My boys loved the smoked Mac n cheese. Fast service and good food! read more

Visiting from Ohio and wanted some BBQ. Found this place via Google and from the minute I got to the parking lot I knew this place was legit. Meat was smoked using hardwood and you can taste it. I had a brisket sandwich and smoked mac and cheese. They have a house chili bbq sauce was was the bomb. Service was equally stellar. If you want bbq in Denver, go here! read more

We love this place. It's only a couple minutes from where we live, so we walk there all the time. The brisket and ribs are amazing. Mac and cheese is different, so everyone might not like it, but I'm a big fan. Service is also always on point! read more

I have been waiting for Rolling Smoke BBQ to open for a long time. It is the BEST BBQ on the West side! Great ambiance. Fantastic food. Big portions. Bang for the Buck. I haven't hung out there on a Friday night yet, but it looks like it's gonna be a great place to do so. The staff is OUTSTANDING! Now Wheat Ridge has the best BBQ. read more
