Delicious, fresh donuts. They were light, not heavy or gummy like some donuts. Will definitely return if in the area. Bakery was nice, bright and clean. I took off one star because I believe I got ripped off. I did not look at the price board when I ordered because I only ordered three items: French cruller, cinnamon roll donut, and a twist donut. My bill was $5 and some change. Now, as I am looking at prices on the website ($0.99 for cruller, and $1.45 for fancy donuts), my bill should have been under $4. Maybe the prices on website are not current prices; or maybe they charge tax for carryout; or maybe an automatic tip was included. We stopped yesterday for a donut and tried Jolly Pirates new pumpkin donut. These are very good. The pumpkin is blended with pumpkin spices and is spot on. There is a hint of clove that is not too strong along with cinnamon and nutmeg. It is in a cake donut that is sugar glazed but not too sweet making this a great tasting donut. These are my childhood. Mom and I got these all the time. These are the long johns (bismarks) which I compare all others across the country. We don't live close and have to drive across town to get them. Given my 40+ years experience, I know how big they should be and just how much of my small plate they should take up. The owner is a top notch individual. Willing to assist and make right if the donuts do not have enough filling (or no filling) or get the wrong donuts. The coffee is delicious and even with the wrong donuts, everything is always delicious and tastes extremely fresh. I have been a fan of JPD as long as I can remember (my parents would stop and get them before picking us up from our babysitter late at night - let's say JPD has been around a LONG TIME). There are no stores near me, so when I ended up in Reynoldsburg, you best believe I hit their drive-thru. (Also, I am a total donut lover. My favorite sweet pastry. Quality first, though.) Jolly Pirate are "classic" donuts - their cake donuts are dense, sweet but not cloyingly so. Crullers and other eggy donuts are a nice balance of crisp and creamy, and they don't stuff their jelly donuts too full. Lots of deliciousness - it's hard to eat only one! And good thing - they really are the best when they are fresh! Thanks for making my Saturday drive that much more worth it. read more

I appreciate that they're open 24 hours as I have weird hours. None of the Timmy Ho's are open beyond 9PM, which IMO is dumb. I did not know that this place had some AWESOMENESS INSIDE. I mean I judged a book by it's cover and I was so wrong. I DETEST the color scheme of this place. So for years I have never ventured inside merely because of that. I happened to go inside one faithful day, as I was having a craving for a donut but all of my favorite spots were closed as it was 11pm. I said to myself that I could wait til tomorrow but my mouth said "Naw man. We need a donut right now!" So I obeyed my taste buds.
