My lunch service wasn't good. She was rude, kind of threw our plates down then went out front to have a smoke. My family was done with their food before I could tell her about my food being burnt. My mother loved her trio, and my husband loved his sandwich and I was not able to get a picture of his as he ate it all before I remembered. Somebody told me to stop by and check out this place, so I did. The person in question works at a pizza shop, so I listened. We came on a lazy Sunday, we were the only ones there. We ordered garlic rolls, I got a lasagna, which came with salad, and my companion ordered an Italian sub. The garlic rolls came undercooked so we sent them back. The salad was decent, as was the lasagna. I didn't like the reuse of marinara sauce everywhere, but I give it a pass. The sub was good. Service was tired. So, the pizza did not last nor did the wings. As soon as I put it down the family devoured it before I could even take photos. Learned my lesson though. I will take photos during pickup or in my car lol. I ordered to pick it up. The pickup process was quick and everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and communicated nicely. They even provided a menu for me to take home. Now that I know they have their own website I will order through there. The entry was was lit and love the brick decor. I'm sorry Linda and chef, but I was just there and picked up a large Bianco pizza with added meatballs. Only living 3 minutes away, it was still hot but THE DOUGH WAS TOUGH AND CHEWY, NO CRUNCH OR CRISPNESS AT ALL. The meatballs were not meatballs added to the pizza but the thinnest slivers of meat, thinner than pepperoni. The other toppings were minimal. And the cheeses should string off the pizza, again very tough pizza. Very disappointed. read more

Long overdue review. This restaurant location use to be the first Pizza Hut store in Deltona back in the late 80s/90s. But they move to a different location and this family took over. 20+ years later, they are still running strong! Which is awesome. As for the restaurant itself, great service and the place is very clean. I can tell this family loves and tends to their customers. However, the pizzas are just normal. I ordered two medium pizzas. Italian sausage and ham/pineapple (yes, I like Hawaiian pizzas). The toppings, sauce, and cheese are good but the dough/bread was a let down. It was a cardboard texture and taste was bland. I think they were trying to be more of a NY pan crust. Just in case, I waited a while and ordered just the sausage pizza in a separate day. Same results. I like the service and people that runs this restaurant so I'll probably give them another chance, but this time, I will try other food items like their pasta dishes. read more

DH and I like frequenting this restaurant for an early lunch. He likes the meat pizza (sausage, pepperoni, meatball, ham) and I like their cheese pizza with onions, mushrooms and we both like garlic on the crust. Their chicken wings are awesome too! We like the garlic sauce on them. Today, we invited a friend of ours who is a vegetarian. He ordered a pizza with olives and mushrooms and garlic knots. DH decided to get the same pizza that he loves as always but I wanted to try the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Our server was Stephanie and she is a wonderful person. She is attentive, friendly and helpful. She asked me if I preferred any other pasta and I chose linguine. The food was great and the service is always fantastic. We frequent this place and will continue to share it with our friends. We all were very happy with our food and experience there. The atmosphere is great with booths and tables and tv's around the room. The sound of the TV's is turned down so it doesn't interfere with the conversations in the restaurant. This restaurant is fantastic and we'll continue to visit them frequently. read more

5 Stars My husband and I were looking for a locally owned pizzeria in Deltona and came across Italiano's New York Pizza on Google Maps. We wanted to support a cute mom-and-pop shop, and this place did not disappoint! From the moment we pulled up, I could tell this place was special. The interior is beautifully updated, giving it a modern and welcoming vibe. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the sight of pizzas being made fresh behind the scenes, which adds to the authentic atmosphere. The entire place was spotless, including the bathrooms, which were in pristine condition. We decided to stay and dine in, seating ourselves in the restaurant area. The setup is cozy, with TVs on the walls and a cute little window where you can watch your food being prepared. Our server was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed, including keeping our Diet Cokes refilled without us having to ask. We opted for the lunch special, which includes two slices of pizza and a soda. We added extra toppings--pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapenos--and the total was very reasonable. The pizza arrived quickly, and I was relieved that it tasted fresh and hot, not like it had been sitting out. The crust was perfectly buttered, and the homemade sauce was delicious, with visible tomato peels adding a nice touch of authenticity. One of the highlights of our visit was meeting Matt, one of the partner owners. His passion for pizza is evident--he's been in the business for over 30 years and still takes the time to greet every customer. He shared that he makes the dough and sauce from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. If I had one tiny suggestion, it would be to use fresh jalapenos instead of the pickled ones, but that's just my personal preference. This review is a part 2 lol That's right we went back! As in the previous review, I mentioned that we do not live close by and I was not with my bf when he purchase the pizza first time. But his time I tagged along. We specialized our order with the same pizza from the first time; because as we truly enjoyed that one very much. My bf also wanted to try something else, so he ordered a large cheese Calzone---OMG! That was sooo good!! Aside that we are amazed of the gigantic size pizza including the calzone (see pics); both were absolutely savory, cheesy, and mouthwatering tasty. Yum Hence, it was "all that and a bag of chips and more." Lol When we cut into it, I had the honor to take the first piece--it barely fit in the plate (see pic). I don't have the right word to describe how delicious this pizza is/was. I exhort anyone that has not yet tried this place---to do so. It's as close to NY Pizza as it can get. Okay, I understand that they are extremely busy on a Friday night. Almost 2 hours after I ordered. The delivery driver says to me as soon as I open the door " we are super busy". Well, hello to you, too. Pizza and garlic knots. The pizza was cold, and the crust was very, very hard. Too tough to eat even when I tried to dip it into the red sauce that came with the garlic knots. The knots were very hard, also. And looked almost hollow. I asked for extra garlic, barely any garlic, or oil , on them. Spent $33. For one hard slice, with skimpy sauce, and half a garlic knots, I ate only to have to chase it all down with two Tums. I really had high hopes after I read the reviews only to throw the rest into the garbage.So sad. read more

I had to write this review, even though some time has passed. We were looking for New York-style pizza and considered trying this place--until my father shared his horrific experience there. My elderly parents, two of the kindest, most humble, and honest people you'll ever meet, went to this restaurant, ordered a large pizza at the counter, and initially planned to take it to go. However, they changed their minds and decided to sit and eat instead. That's when a man approached them, yelling that they couldn't eat there because "no one will clean up after them." He told them that if they had wanted to dine in, they should have said so--and then, shockingly, ordered them to leave his restaurant. Who speaks to their customers this way? When a place has over 130 + reviews and only a 3-star rating, there's a reason for it. Turning away paying customers is bad enough, but doing so in such a rude, unprofessional, and downright despicable manner is inexcusable. If there was an issue, it should have been addressed with respect--not with hostility. I will never, ever eat here, and I will make sure to warn everyone I know to stay away! read more

Another place I wanted to really like. It's close and I had heard good things from family who went for dinner. I decided to order online for lunch and chose a meatball sub and a slice. I wanted to check out how the service and food was. I selected pick-up for noon and arrived 10min early. When I entered the restaurant, my order was ready to go and I was literally in and out. The meatball sub was ok but I wasn't a fan of the type of bread they used. But the meat, sauce, and mozzarella were decent. As far as the slice, it was terrible. Another horrible representation of a NY pizzeria. It's nothing like NY folks, please don't be fooled. Every time I go here the food gets worse. Steak and cheese used to be steak and cheese but you can remove the onions. Last night it was Steak and cheese, onions peppers and mushrooms. Worst customer service!!! Do not order take out in any way from this place. Ordered food, it was incorrect. Called to get it rectified and then the fun began... The owner, after 10 minutes of the back and forth, clueless as to what he's looking for...finally reads me my order. "It's what was delivered", he said. No sir it is not... Ordered (2) strombolis. 1 original and 1 with just ground beef and pepperoni. He insisted we were wrong. Pictures don't lie. He wasn't going to make it right. They ruined our familys dinner...bottom line. We felt in order to get a refund the best alternative was to return the mistake since they weren't going to correct the error. Driver comes and picks up the nightmare and is shown how incorrect the owner was. Wasn't the delivery guys fault. Sorry bro. Customer service skills are a necessity. We love the Stromboli, calzones and pizza. Stromboli's are so full and one is big enough for 2. We also love getting cheese pizza.

The food just isn't good enough to accept the horrible behavior of the owner. His FB reviews got so bad he removed the ability to leave a review, what does that tell you??? Just look at his responses to negative reviews here on Yelp! I have seen how he speaks to his staff. And one time when we were in there he had an attitude with us. I left a FB review, which is now gone, and he accused me of lying. If there's one thing the Deltona, DeLand, Orange City, and Debary isn't lacking it is pizza joints. I would rather give my money to someone who isn't a bully. Chuck, it is time to drop the cop like attitude. Your staff and customers deserve better. I'm sure he will call me a liar here too. This review is based on the Food. I got Two Slice and Coke; one slice just cheese and the other with Pepperoni. Crust: In a word "Amazing" the bottom of the pizza slice was cooked to perfection it was crispy enough and still able to fold without tearing. Sauce: Also great it was fresh and able to taste it ; not under powering or over it was just right the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect. Personally not a big fan of over sauced pizza it was great. Overall: The slice was great the cheese actually stayed on the slice and not fall everywhere and Slice was not to extra greasy either. Only thing i will say to make the slices a bit bigger due to the fact NYC slices are a bit bigger. read more

My family and I walked in close to close (unbeknownst to us) and looked at the menu trying to quickly make a decision because by then we realize it was 10 minutes to close. The girl at the front was EXTREMELY rude. Saying "we stop taking orders in a few minutes" with a very rude tone. We quickly chose a daily special and sat and waited while we received dirty looks from the entire staff (we could tell because not one had a face mask on). The young girl who took our order and already was rude to us in the beginning, sat on her phone most of the wait until getting the money box and counting the money in front of us which made us very uncomfortable. The entire experience was one I won't soon forget and one that will definitely have me eating at any other place to eat besides here; which is a shame because the food ended up being pretty good although the wings weren't very spicy. read more
