It has been well over 50 years since I have been at Roma's. Suffice it to say that the pizza is as good now as it was then our waitress, Jessica, was extremely friendly, and on point. Now that I have moved back to Flint, Roma's is once again my go to pizza place. not only is the pizza beyond delicious, the prices can't be beat.

This is a 2 star review because I did once get s good pizza from them. So tonight I ordered a $25 (with tip) pizza, all meat with peppers and mushrooms....this is what showed up. I called 6 times to order it and was hung up on 5 times by Veronica. I called to complain, no one cares. I'm done this time. I've orders 10-12 pizza in the last month from here but this is the last one. They are too busy, ok let them be busy Some weeks on ....this place has totally turned around, great staff, awesome servers and great food. Can't recommend highly enough

My husband & I went to Roma's for a late lunch today. It's been years since we've been there. I had the lasagna & it was amazing! It also came with homemade chicken noodle soup & garlic bread twists that melted in my mouth. My husband had the wonderful baked manicotti, a salad & garlic toast; all was great too. Our server was excellent, prompt & helpful. Going out of our way today really paid off with such a flavorful meal.

Good food, fast would recommend to my friends. Prices are good too. They've been in business for a long time.

If we had not been with other people I would have gotten up and left. We will NEVER return and will find somewhere else to continue our day out. I was instructed that my dog must be under the table, could not bark or jump up or we would have to leave. Her entire job is to let me know and allow her to jump into my lap or lay on my chest! There was plenty of room for the waitress to reach our table. We intentionally went to the very back of the restaurant so as to not be in the way of anyone else. We were NOT in a booth where there is only one way to access the table to serve us. This manager obviously has something against dogs or something. If she is under the table she cannot get to me properly. The staff need to do their research or learn exactly what is acceptable for a service dog. You don't get to make up your own rules!! Even my 9 year old sons know more about service dog behavior than these adults in this restaurant. No customers complained and in fact several times we were complimented on how well she behaved by other patrons. When I attempted to address it on my way out I was again informed that my dog could not be in the isle. If that was all he said I may have let it go. The fact that we were still getting settled shows just how unprofessional they were. My service dog is VERY well behaved and while the state does not require any testing or registration I have taken the time and gone the extra mile to have her go through public access tests and she passed with flying colors at only 9 months old!! If you have an issue with dogs I suggest you do not work where you will come across service dogs. You have no business being anywhere around the public! After we left I found other instances where others had faced the same problems. I hope others that require a service dog read the reviews before going there.

The batter is thin, crispy, and not overly heavy, and the flavor feels like something straight out of a home kitchen. This isn't fast-food fried chicken... this is Sunday dinner at grandma's. The meal itself is a lot of food for around $17: four pieces of chicken, real mashed potatoes with homemade gravy, a vegetable, a potato, plus a salad and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup with those old-school egg noodles. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, not processed or rushed. We also tried the fried mushrooms everyone talks about, and they lived up to the hype. They use large portobello mushrooms, which makes a huge difference. No watery, soggy bite like you get at a lot of places, just a clean, meaty texture with a crispy coating. The atmosphere is calm and cozy. Lighting is dim enough to feel relaxed, and with only about 20 tables, it's not loud or chaotic. No kids running wild or constant traffic in and out, just a laid-back, "take your time" kind of vibe. The space has a log cabin feel with exposed wood, vintage décor, and black-and-white photos. The tables and chairs aren't fancy, but they're clean and fit the nostalgic charm. Service was great during our visit. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly, took our order quickly, and everything came out hot. I've seen mixed reviews about inconsistent service, but our experience (first visit) was very positive. There's also plenty of parking, which is always a win. Between the generous portions, fair pricing, and genuinely homemade feel, this is the kind of place you come back to. They also offer daily specials and make many of their own desserts. I'll definitely be back to try the coconut cream pie. Overall: Comfort food done right, with a cozy, no-frills atmosphere and excellent value.

The turkey they use is smoked and tastes amazing! The gravy smothered over the sandwich and mashed potatoes adds even more flavor. I ordered a side of green beans with the meal, and they tasted good - not canned. The turkey club was ordered without tomato and came out as ordered - it was huge and also had the smoked turkey on it. So good! Coleslaw tasted good as did the cheese sticks. Our server was attentive and kept checking on us. She kept the drinks coming - even after we paid our bill. Love that they check on you, even after you have paid. The inside is still outdated and the seats are not the most comfortable, but that's fine. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I need to come back here again real soon!

So I brought a bread tag all the way from Lansing to the Soogy Bottom in Flint just to put it in a burger? That sounds ridiculous! I never even asked for my food to be comped. I love this place, but I have seen spiderwebs on the windows and the bathroom had a bug. 1 star- service- yes! Absolutely! This is a little hole in the wall diner. The waitresses will know you by name after just a couple of visits. Shout out to Tina who it excellent. The owner Nancy will even come out and chat if she is there. 1star- efficiency- service is quick and expedient. Everything is made to order, but doesn't take forever. They even serve the fish they catch. Check out the specials to see if they have any fresh fish. It's so amazing when they do. 1star- the food- 10 stars! Today I had open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. I usually get the fish. Anyone can get the senior meal. It's a slightly smaller portion, but still all I can eat. I had big pieces of both white and dark meat and it tasted like it straight off of a Thanksgiving turkey. The mashed potatoes are real potatoes, so you may get a lump or two, but add the chicken gravy and it's delicious! They even toasted and buttered the bread before adding the turkey and gravy. Little touches like that matter. 1star- ambiance- Yes. It's a diner. There is plenty of seating - booths or tables. Seating is spaced well. It's a John Wayne Western theme.
