I know Luigi's has their loyal following but I was not completely impressed. I ordered lasagna, salad, draft beer. The beer was flat. The salad was (aging) packaged iceberg-ranch dressing was good. The good news is my lasagna was excellent! My friend had spaghetti with mushrooms and meatballs- the meatballs were great BUT the mushrooms were canned! Price for food was good, beer was pricey. This is a really cute little place. It's kind of a combination restaurant bar. The walls are full of sports memorabilia, especially from Michigan sports. The staff was wonderful and welcoming, and it was just a happy place to be. I got the Luigis special which was pepperoni, green peppers and mushrooms, and it was a really good pie. I especially liked the thin crust which had a wonderful kind of cracker taste at the end of it. I don't think the flavor of the sauce and the rest of the pizza quite had the punch that I wanted which kept this place from getting the five star rating but I would definitely recommend going ! read more

I specifically told them the last two times I ordered chili I ended up with a half a cup of oily broth. I asked the lady please to make sure that it's chilly not a bunch of only broth and what I received is what I posted below. I paid $12.50 for a boil of greasy oil. We have been going here since I was a child. Never have we had a bad experience. My husband planned a 60th Birthday surprise party for me. We had a party of 20....the waitstaff was rude, did not check for refills....the owner never came to check to see how things were, though he was walking around. Luigi's has got to be my favorite restaurant in the area for thin crust pizza! Whether you make your own or select one of the pre-configured options from the menu, you won't be disappointed. My personal favorite is the Luigi Special, which is even better by adding anchovies. The Strombolis are also excellent. The atmosphere is a bit of a mix between family style restaurant meets neighborhood pub. I've seldom seen the restaurant not busy, which can make parking tricky at times. I called for a pizza at 6:05 pm tonight. I was told it be ready in 35-40 min. I arrive at 7:10. I am ignored by all staff and still finally when Christina acknloweges me 5 min into me standing in the front counter my pizza does not come out unprepared until 7:30 pm...No care from manager Christina except a rude attitude and dismissive tone when I expressed my concern over the pizza being delayed and no customer service to explain the situation. She just said were busy oh well I can't do anything for you.... I am standing their in the front with all customers hearing this too... I ended up with a cold pizza and a terrible customer service experience. Christina should not be working there if she can't have essential customer experience, busy or not, with no excuses to lie and be rude to customers. I found this place while searching for a decent restaurant near the falls. There's not many open restaurants around here other than diners and fast food. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, service was fast, and the drinks were cold and always replenished. This is the go to local bar, but also an Italian restaurant. I will say, I'm Italian, so I'm a little picky about my Italian food, so my expectations were a little high. I ordered chicken Parmesan, and received eggplant Parmesan. It was covered in a heap of cheese, so when I finally got to the breaded eggplant, it was all mush and inedible to me. I informed the owner that I ordered chicken and he apologized and replaced it. He also told me that they pre-bread them and refrigerate them and must've mistaken the eggplant for chicken? Ok. The Alfredo was watery and bland like it had been prepared from a powder mix. Again inedible. My husbands burger and fries on the other hand looked delicious! So when asked what I could get instead, I asked for the same burger and fries as him to go. I'm giving 3 stars hesitantly, but because the service was great, everyone was friendly and accommodating, the bathrooms and dining area were clean, and the burgers were excellent. If this establishment could revamp the dated interior and too extensive menu to more simple fare, and use fresh not frozen items, and prepare them when ordered not days before, I think they would benefit greatly from the changes. This small town has really been effected by the flint water crisis first and now Covid, so I understand it's a struggle. Nothing a complete renovation and overhaul couldn't fix to make it extremely profitable and more popular with all the locals and visitors. read more

Just picked up lunch - Dawn was so polite and helpful! I grabbed some chicken noodle soup and you can clearly tell the noodles are homemade and not store bought. Its robust and full of flavor! First of all, the waitress was severely overworked and then was being picked on by another waitress. The cook made an error with our pizzas so we waited for over 45 minutes for our pizzas to arrive. The crust on my pizza was so soggy that I couldn't pick it up. They blamed all the veggies but I ordered what was on the menu, it wasn't anything unique. We waited so long for our pizza that we asked for to go containers and they brought out little styrofoam containers. I said I need a pizza box so the owner told me that would cost an extra $1.50. Times 3 pizzas, another $4.50. I said ridiculous but you leave me no choice as I am not cramming my pizza into those little dinner containers. A few minutes later, he recanted and removed the $4.50 charge. Bottom line, we are still searching fir great pizza. read more
