Everything is homemade (which I love). I didn't care for what I had because I'm not big on Italian sausage. But that was my fault and I listened to everyone else. Napoleon had too much whipped cream and not enough Bavarian cream in it, was still good tho. Side salad has black olives onions cheese tomatoes pepperoni on it. Service was ok seemed a bit steady and everyone came and left except us. Place is small. They clean up quickly. Front door is actually employee door, customers have to use side door. I would come again and try something that I wanted.

Me and my girlfriend stumbled upon this place when we were out and about in Flint it's a very homestyle cooking feel very small restaurant, but it packs a punch with the flavor. The food is absolutely amazing. The pizza, the lasagna, the mostaccioli, the tiramisu desserts. We love our time at pestos and if you're in the Flint area, you should definitely check them out

Large oven baked pizza w/cheese, pepperoni, hamburger, green olives, green pepper, & onion

Very polite staff! I was placed on hold when calling to order pizza but only for a few seconds. After placing my order it was repeated back to me with the total price (there is a small surcharge if paying with a card). My order was ready at the time they provided and again the staff was very polite:). It's a smaller restaurant, if dining in choose non-peak hours. The pizza was excellent!! I loved their sauce, it has a tiny garlic kick to it! Also, 1 pizza (bc of allergies) couldn't have cheese on it, and the sauce made up for the missing cheese lol. Very impressed and we will definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend!!!!

Cute place and the food was awesome, good service too. Had the Stromboli and Beef Stroganoff....both were excellent, sirloin was VERY tender! When we are in the area we would definitely come back!

This evening I ordered the following from DoorDash:…read more * Pasta Verdura (x1) * Side Caesar (x2) I very clearly stated to NOT place my cold salads on top of hot pasta in the bag. I have to state this because they always do this. When my order was delivered I received the Verdura and one House Salad, not my two Caesar Salads. In addition, the House Salad was on top of the hot pasta and was therefore hot as well. Furthermore, the pasta was swimming in sauce. I called the restaurant and spoke with a gentleman. I believe his name was James. I explained the errors to him. He did not apologize at all. In fact, he told me that I either did not enter the note appropriately, or it did not come through on their end. He said that he bagged up my order. He also said nothing about the salad screwups. I told him that putting cold salads on top of hot pasta is their common practice with my orders, he said nothing. I told him that I was bringing this to his attention so that they could improve this practice. Once again, no response. I said to him that not putting cold salads on top of hot pasta should be common sense. He replied with, "I'm not going to have this discussion with you. You can take it up with DoorDash. Well, I am going to take it up with DoorDash and Sauce just lost a frequent and loyal customer. If he bagged up my order he obviously did not check to ensure the order was accurate. His attitude sucked: no apology and blaming the customer. Disgraceful! P.S. No salad dressing with the House Salad.

The vibe is super cozy, with different seating areas, booths and tables tucked around several fireplaces, plus a bar area. They bring out complimentary garlic bread when you sit down, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and absolutely delicious. We each got the $16 personal pizza deal with a side salad and drink. The pizza is thin, wood fired, crispy, and flavorful, cut into six slices, about the size of a small at most other places. Definitely a great value. The salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, we added cheese, and the ranch tasted homemade. We also ordered the homemade asiago cheese sticks, which were fantastic. Super crispy outside, creamy and cheesy inside with that sharp asiago flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks without us having to ask and offering the dessert menu. I ordered the peanut butter cream pie and the chocolate mousse pie. Both were excellent. Our total was around $70 for two people, but I definitely added some extras. We arrived just in time to be seated right away, and by the time we left the parking lot was filling up fast. They're clearly popular. They also offer Monday through Thursday specials, so it's worth checking those out. There's plenty of parking near the surrounding stores and restaurants. It's a few miles from the main I-75 exit, but absolutely worth the drive.

My first visit since Susan sold the business…read more This is a weak 3-star review. The Deluxe Lasagna recipe has changed a bit - specifically; the Italian sausage was not sufficiently sausage-y. And while it arrived very hot, there was maybe two tablespoons of fluid in the bottom of the dish. Still very good, but different. The garlic bread served with the lasagna was a miss. Only toasted on one side and insufficiently garlicky (is that a word?). I also ordered a side of the garlic bread. Properly toasted, but again, lacked sufficient garlic flavor. The salad was fresh, slightly chilled. Only one waitress working the dining room and she was busy. Two large groups and a handful of booths were occupied. Although we arrived after the first group, our food came out first. We finished and left ... and they were still waiting on their salads.

There's plenty of parking, though it fills up quickly, and the restaurant is tucked into a residential area so it almost feels like you're headed the wrong way, but you're not. It's about a mile from I-75. Service was friendly despite how busy the staff was, and our server checked in whenever possible. The restaurant has multiple dining areas, including a large main room and a bar area with booths. The menu offers classic Italian dishes made from scratch. The "pick two" pasta option with salad is a great value and portions are generous. Many people were ordering pizza, and it's clearly a favorite, especially with their daily specials. The samrito-style puffed breadsticks are also worth trying. A true hidden gem that locals definitely know about. We'll be back!

The inexplicably named Samoritos (fried pizza dough pieces) are delicious! (I'd pay double to have those suckers tossed in FRESH chopped garlic and parsley and a little butter or olive oil). The marinara sauce is very nice. The staff are nice enough. Now for everything else. First thing one will notice is that the owners need to invest in their building. It is very late 70s mobile home vibes. It is grungy. It does not smell good. Age and grime coats the walls, fixtures, furnishings, and carpet. Nothing is updated or even just in good condition. The wait can be unbelievably long - not because there are no tables available, but because they run out of clean dishes. And while you wait forever, you are uncomfortably sitting in a strange, dark little room on a cheap outdoor bench, or you are standing right in the middle of the entry/exit point. The salad (like everywhere across the Midwest) is plain old iceberg lettuce with a scattering of cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and canned black olives and a bunch of shredded cheese if you don't ask them for no cheese. The dressings are not very inspiring. Or tasty. The food is of the hit or miss variety, I guess. The first time I played it safe with a simple spaghetti and marinara. The pasta was adequately cooked and in a large portion. The marinara, again, was very tasty. Others in my party had similar comments about their choices. The second time I went I decided to try the portobello ravioli. That was not a good choice. I ate 1/2 of 1 ravioli and took the rest to see if my garbage disposal of a husband (he will eat almost anything without complaint) would eat it. He stuffed a whole ravioli in his mouth and that was the end of that. The rest fed the bin. First, it was absolutely drowned in an Alfredo sauce that did not seem to be a fresh, housemade product (which it should always be because it is not difficult at all and would be a huge upgrade). The pasta was slightly undercooked, and the filling was more ricotta than mushroom. For a mushroom lover ordering mushroom ravioli...my expectations were high. Anyway. I'll go try the pizza. Hope it's good. Other reviews mention this place isn't worth takeout, which is why I returned to dine in at all.

I can honestly say our dining experience was exceptional, all thanks to our waitress, Michaela. I am no stranger to fine dining. In fact, I have dined at numerous Michelin star restaurants, and I can confidently say Michaela displayed exemplary customer service. My mom ordered soup and salad. However, mom mentioned she doesn't eat iceberg lettuce, Michaela thoughtfully suggested a spinach and kale alternative with the traditional toppings, and it was absolutely perfect. She could have simply said that iceberg was the only option. However, Michaela suggested that thoughtful alternative. That small act of care made a huge difference in our dining experience, and my mom was utterly pleased. What stood out most was that she didn't HAVE to do that. She CHOSE to. That level of initiative and customer service truly elevated our entire dining experience. She was, without a doubt, the highlight of our visit. We were so impressed that we asked to speak with a manager, which happened to be the general manager, just to share how amazing she was. We even mentioned that she should be appointed to train other staff, only to find out that she had just stepped into that exact role. That actually came as no surprise at all. Michaela represents exceptional customer service at its finest. Because of her, we will absolutely be back.
