When she says someone will call about the day you need service, they call. Lee was our guy. We had two toilets that needed service. Lee said "Here's the price but I need to see how the flanges are. If they need service here is the cost ...". Flange? Lee showed me the flange on the first toilet. OH! No wonder it was leaking. He fixed both toilets. Was exactly on price point and respected my elderly mother who dozed on the couch during the work. He was quick about his business. Mom's nap was longer. Great job y'all!! Based on prior experience we called Brandon at Airco to come take a look. We left a key for them and they were out that day. They called w/options--new coils (a few year fix) or a whole new system. We opted for a new system. They had it installed and house cooled down when we returned on Saturday! We were also wanting to move our thermostat but wanted to talk through that. They came back on Monday to take care of moving the thermostat.

They've got you over a barrel when they come out and start throwing parts. This was an install of a drop in kitchen sink and faucet. He told me his hourly rate was 135 bucks. I was expecting to spend about 400 maybe 500. The final bill was 850. I feel I was overcharged on both the parts and labor. He charged me starting 45 min before he got there but still included a "truck charge." The removal and replace of the sink took 2 hours. To me the "clock" starts on the labor at the agreed upon arrival time. When I'm getting charged 439(!) bucks for parts on top of the sink and faucet itself, that extra charge for labor is quite unwelcome. I mean the sink and faucet itself that were "nice" were like 500 bucks. So almost that again just in parts. ‍ His answer in general as I look at these reviews is that he buys his parts from a plumber supply not Home Depot etc. I would have to research each individual part to see if its price point is "fair". A perusal of solid brass fittings and pvc p traps on the Lowe's site shows the price I paid was about doubled. He acted quite insulted that I wouldn't know just how much better his parts were and implied they were all but unavailable at big box stores. literally doubling what I expected to pay was quite a shock to say the least.
