I waited more than a week for service with a freeze related deposit issue outside. the plumber did not put freeze guard of any sort, instead complained that ' he would have to go they the wall' and 'that's lots more work' quoting more than 400 dollars for less than an hours work. I know this work bc this is not my first hose bib replacement. he wanted that o charge an extra 6 bucks to take a credit card. he charged 173 and only replaced the external hose bib I hope he treats male homeowners better, but this is how he treated me I won't call this company again, and if anybody there has the integrity to refund this, I will update this info posted if you don't mind it being more than a week for a freeze repair, do call. read more

I recently had some pretty serious plumbing issues. Wait...let me rephrase that. MY HOUSE had some pretty serious plumbing issues. My plumbing is just fine. TMI...anyway... David came and assessed the problem and did some repairs. Yay! Oh, wait...the leak reappeared the next day. I promptly rang up David. He came over right away and reassessed the problems. It seemed that the problem was much more severe than originally believed. Long story short, I was looking at A LOT of work! OK...not really, but we really did get to chat a lot. These are genuinely nice guys. After the work was done (with me hovering and asking a million questions about everything whilst a patient David answered all my questions without talking down to me) he took the time to explain everything he had done in detail. Although I finished up with a hefty repair bill, it was considerably less than what it could have been. David made follow ups regularly to make sure everything was still dry. We were about to move into our first house, which came with a washer and dryer that we didn't need. About a week before the big move, we attempted to move the washer and dryer from the laundry room into the garage, only to find that the dryer was gas. No big deal, we'll just disconnect it and cap the line. Pssh... this gas connection was on there TIGHT! About a month ago, I noticed that there was water underneath my floor boards in my bathroom. I normally procrastinate with home repairs because I always hate finding a handy man to fix the problem and potentially be charged an outrageous amount. However, Plumb Good put my worries at ease! David was very polite and friendly. I called them on a Saturday and they were able to schedule me for Monday. They provided a window of 3pm to 5pm and at 2:30, they were already calling to let me know that they were on their way! The problem was that the seal under the toilet needed to be replaced and David also noticed that the welding had a dip which was also causing the leak. He was very informative and let us know that eventually, the leak could start up again and at that point, the metal welding would need to be corrected. This all may sound like jargon to you! However, David was not pressuring like most other companies may be to try and get more money from you. Since I'm proactive, I decided to just take care of the issue now so that the leak wouldn't start again in the future. For a few hours of labor and parts, it came out to $380. I also saved $57 because I used a 15% off labor coupon that was offered on their website. I'm not sure how their rates compare to other companies, however, it seemed reasonable to me and I love to support smaller companies. Plumb Good also guaranteed the repairs for up to 1 year! We were really worried about a costly repair on our aging house we're trying to get market-ready, but after reading some great reviews on Yelp about he how was professional, punctual and reasonable I trusted him to take care of the problem. (Which was a bathtub spout that had taken the copper feeder pipe with it while we were trying to replace it) True to the reviews, he was very punctual. He told me 8AM for the next day and he was there at 7:55AM. He quickly assessed the situation and gave me an estimate for parts and labor. I was bracing for much worse. He started working and was finished in about an hour and 15 minutes. He showed me all he did, and told me his work had a one year guarantee. It sucks when you feel like a house is dragging you down with it while you're trying to get it ready to sell, but it takes the sting away a little to know a good plumber just in case. I decided to see reviews and get recommendations from Yelp and boy am I glad I did! First of all they were ON TIME! A big plus in my book. He was very nice and extremely curteous. Best Service and Best Value! Needed to get a disposal replaced and David was able to recommend a quality brand and answer our questions about others so we could get the best product. We also added a new faucet and had all installed expertly by him. I have since used this company a second time as was just as happy as the first. My water heater decided to stop working and I wasn't willing to take a chance messing with it myself since it was a gas unit. It started out with a simple kitchen faucet replacement. It turns out that the shut off valves underneath the sink were bad and the shut off valve at the water main (outside) was bad as well. My neighbor suggested I use the shut off valve on the city owned meter. I was uncomfortable with that and wanted a professional opinion. I called David on Thursday afternoon and he was out that day. I had a big leak in the water line coming from the cut-off to the house. He was unable to fix it that afternoon but was out first thing on Friday morning. He communicated well and let me know whst the best course of action to take. Leak was fixed by Friday afternoon! Our bathtub spout diverter stopped working and we couldn't take a shower. Called Plumb-good on Monday they came out on Wednesday, have an extremely reasonable quote to go into the wall and unhook the copper pipe attached to the spout and get everything set back up the same day. WOW. This guy is not only super nice, he is super fast, super good and well just all around a great experience. Our faucet broke and the cut off valve broke as well, and we had to shut off our water main. He helped us not only fix that (and would not leave until it was installed tested and we were happy), but gave us good advice on how to maintain our new faucet and other pointers on issues we had been having. He always is trying to advise you on how to save a few dollars (like buying the parts ourselves). He was pleasant and made a painful ordeal much, much nicer. My water heater wasn't working so I looked up "the best plumbers in Pflugerville" on Yelp. To their credit this was the only company who could come out same day and they were here promptly. I was told the thermocouple was faulty and needed to be replaced. There was $176 charge for labor, a $65 "travel fee" to get the part because it wasn't a "truck part" and then the cost of the part which they couldn't say exactly but was usually around $40. I asked if that could be written up so I could send it to my landlord and was told no. I was asked to sign the work order though and after I had i was then told the part was going to be $140. They were gone no more than 15 minutes before coming back with the part (this required a $65 travel fee?!) and the work was done in about 20 minutes....total with tax $407! I called around when they left to get the part and the most expensive thermocouple was $11. I called Dave to confirm that's what I needed and he then told me it was a pilot assembly. The most expensive one of those I found on the internet was $84. I am thankful to have hot water again but i do not recommend this company in any way. I feel that they took advantage of my situation and that's no way to run a business or generate return customers read more

Sink drain link, 8 year old construction. T-joint was a bit short and had rattled loose at the trap (probably from the disposal). While everything fit back together, they replaced the T-joint with a slightly longer one. They came out promptly, evaluated it, gave an on-site estimate. I've been meaning to write for awhile. I used plumb-good because of the great reviews on yelp . Was very disappointed. Had to schedule a few days out, but no problem. Had a toilet that just kept running. Arrived on time and very friendly and appeared professional. Gave me an estimate that seemed high and included a $55 fee for driving to a supply store to get parts! Went ahead despite misgivings. David told me how much the part would cost. I mentioned the 15% they offered on their website and he said he would honor it. Well, after I paid the bill, I saw the price of the part had been raised 15%. I also did not get the receipts from the supply store, which other plumbers have given me. Our toilet no longer flows constantly, but it also no longer has the option of two types of flushes. We are seniors and I did not notice all of this until after we had paid. David was very pleasant, but I would never use him again. read more

Very professional on the phone and in person. We had a toilet that wouldn't drain and had been that way for a few months and we also needed a new toilet installed. Since we hardly use that bathroom it wasn't an emergency. David apologized for not being able to get out the same day, but he was able to make it out the next day. (seriously? an apology? I expected to wait several days, hahaha). David came out and assessed the situation, some roots blocking the line near the clean out. He snaked the line and cleaned it as best he could, but due to the angle of the lines he needs to jackhammer through the concrete to replace the line. Bummer, because we don't have that kind of money to fix it completely ($1200). Still, snaking the drain helped and he did get the new toilet installed for a little over $900. We would have given 5 stars, but the price seemed a little high. Now, I don't know anything about plumbing so it could have been a helluva deal and since I didn't shop around I have no reference on price. I'd absolutely use them again and when we have the cash, we'll call them back to fix the lines completely. read more
