From the start, communication felt impersonal--I never met Sam in person. At first, I communicated with him via text, and only later spoke with him over the phone. The job was initially quoted at $1,200, which set a high expectation for quality. When the technician arrived, I was shown a VERY limited selection of swatches, none of which matched our couch. I reluctantly chose the closest option, but immediately followed up with Sam to express concern that the color would not be a proper match. Since this was a leather repair, I expected the finished product to blend in well with the existing couch. When the cushions were delivered, the color difference was staggering and absolutely unacceptable. After I raised the issue, Sam agreed to dye the leather for a closer match--however, this came with AN ADDITIONAL $300 charge, despite the fact that color matching should have been addressed from the start. The cushions were re-delivered yesterday. While the color is somewhat closer, it still does not match, and now the texture is noticeably different as well. Their proposed solution? Dye the rest of the couch a color we didn't want to begin with for an additional $400. No, thank you. At this point, we're left with cushions that don't match and a total cost far exceeding the original quote, with no satisfactory resolution. We'll have to live with the result until we can afford a new couch.
