A+++ Service! Fantastic Results! My home is a 140 year old Victorian. My next door neighbors had planted their old Christmas tree over FIFTY years ago. Over the years it grew to over 75 feet tall, The brushing limbs were dropping pine needles in my gutter, clogging it creating and ice dam in my gutter about 50 feet up. It would scrape against my house during storms causing a loud noise while the branches became a bridge for ants and critters. I found Hector through a recommendation of a Facebook page. I cross checked his references and he's The Real Deal. I called Hector to which he promptly responded within 1/2 hour. I explained the situation via text and a few pics. We agreed on a VERY FAIR price. He squeezed me in and came out THAT DAY as we were rushing against the clock for another storm. The first thing I noticed was his comfort and ease with heights and the ladder. I was VERY PLEASED to see him using a safety harness. Hector was especially careful not to damage my 140 year old slate roof. Good communication skills, Really easy to talk to. He did an excellent job 50 feet in the air. Not only was I clogged with pine needles, Hector pulled out a "Slice of Pizza" which a critter had dragged up there, clogging the downspout. We had a good laugh on that one. He also took great care in respecting my neighbors property as the tree was on their property. They cleaned up everything, removed debris, and left our yards in better condition than when he arrived. Had I not addressed the situation immediately it would have cost me a fortune in repairs. Hector did a fantastic job saving me THOUSANDS in potential repairs. Not only that, He's a really nice guy. While we were away on vacation last week our neighbors hired this tree service to cut our tree on our property back to the property line. Yes I live next to one of the massive projects the city has allowed to be built...Long story short tree trimmed back beyond property line-evidenced from the branches falling into OUR yard. No consideration of privacy tree was providing us or what the tree now looks like cut in half or the mess he left behind for us to clean up. In fact, if our house sitters were not here to throw the tree branches over the fence nothing would have been cleaned up. Now upon arrival home and the shock that our tree was hacked while we were away, the owner hangs up on us when we call him to come clean up his mess and states he has no obligation to clean it up. Nice guy, Nice neighbors and another reason to not allow huge condo structures to be built in Roslindale -they get filled up with inconsiderate neighbors who hire inconsiderate tree trimming companies to destroy more and more trees in Boston area. Later I found out their out of Porter Texas and don't have a location here in Roslindale Did not even want to give 1 star but had to to be able to post this message. read more

I hired Hector to hang string lights on my large 40 foot tree in my backyard. He was extremely responsive, accomodating and helpful throughout the entire process and answered all my many questions and concerns. His prices were the best around, and he even squeezed me in to his very tight schedule so that I could have my lights up in time for our holiday party & was willing to work after hours in the freezing cold to get it done. He even drove all the way out to me which was about an hour away from him with traffic. Unfortunately, when he got to our home he discovered that there was poison ivy covering the tree, which I was unaware of, and I felt so badly that he drove 2 hours roundtrip for nothing, but he was very kind and understanding about it. In any case, we plan to have all the poison ivy removed and then will be hiring Hector again for the job. From the time I spent with him and all our phone conversations, I could tell he was a true professional and very passionate about his work & love of trees. He apparently also has major artistry, so am looking forward to having our lights hung by him in the near future & hiring him for other arborist work as well. read more

Hector arrived on time to assess the work I and my neighbor needed, and he gave his honest opinion of and a reasonable estimate for what we could and should do with some broken and dead branches on a150-year-old Norway Maple tree that spans three yeards. Diana, who schedules jobs and handles the business side, maintained excellent communication throughout. After agreeing on a date about 10 days away for the work to be done, weather permitting, Diana maintained communication about a change I requested, and reminded us that the job was a "go" the night before. That next morning, Hector and his crew showed up, again on time, did all the work we had agreed along with some extra pruning we discussed on the spot. They did the work professionally, efficiently, happily, gratefully and without incident -- which was well worth the estimated amount and a substantial gratuity for work well done. We can't thank Hector and his team enough for the work they did . This is our first fall as homeowners and needed some serious help with cleaning our gutters in thanks to the very large oak and Maple trees that cover our home. I called Hector on Monday and he was at our home Tuesday morning to give us an estimate and arrived Saturday morning to complete the work. We had a tight budget and planned on just being able to get the gutters cleaned. Hector worked with us and cleaned the gutters, plus removed large branches that hung over our power lines along with branches that allowed squirrels to jump on to the roof . That was above and beyond in its self but they also cleaned the entire yard and disposed of all the waste. We're so pleased with the work , price and professionalism, from this company. I reached out to RT Trees because of their great yelp reviews. They did not disappoint. I wanted an estimate for removing a crepe myrtle in my front yard. The person I reached asked me to send photos of the tree. I did so; he responded promptly with two estimates, one which was competitive with another estimate but another that was much lower for taking the tree down when RT Trees was already in the area. RT Trees texted me the day before they came out to do the work so that I could leave a check in a hiding spot. They did the work and cleaned up the area fully. They texted me photos of the completed job, so that I could then tell them where to find the check. The entire project was done without my having to take any time off work. I used Roman Tree Services to cut down a couple of trees which were threatening to fall on my house. Hector Roldan, the owner of the company, came to my house, developed a plan, gave me a price, and set a tentative date for the work. He came earlier than arranged, because of a coming snow storm, and what I thought would be a day's work, at least, he did in 3 hours. He dropped the trees exactly where we wanted, using ropes and pulleys and chain saws, and did it with a skill and professionalism which I admired. I would highly recommend RT Trees to anyone who needs soild work done on his/her property. I haven't cleaned my gutters in three years and knew I needed to get it done asap. I contacted Hector who responded to my text quickly and was able to work on my gutters a few hours later. I hired Hector to do some maintenance on my son's yard. Pruning shrubs, weeding and laying mulch. I had called other companies but Hector was immediate in doing the job. They did exactly what I asked them to do and Hector has a vision for placement that others do not. A few things were overlooked by the crew but texting Hector and the men followed up on my requests. My yard flooded quite often so I wanted to build a 100 ft long French drain to divert the water. Of the five vendors I contacted Roman Tree Services was by far the best, they were responsive, professional and had a history of quality work. I think Hector, the owner, went really above and beyond of what I expected, he came up with several improvements to the project that he could do with little or no additional cost (e.g., adding extra drains, using the extracted soil for regrading). Overall, I think they do quality work at a good price and they make great efforts to adapt to new circumstances and keep the cost down. I highly recommend them. read more

Hector and his crew are amazing! I bought a house last fall and it had a lot of overgrown brush and limbs. Hector came took the limbs down, cleaned everything up, and was the best price out there. Hector also cleaned my gutters and installed gutter guards for me. They were so great that I called them up again this summer when I wanted to take down bigger trees and a lot of stumps and roots. They not only got all of the stumps and roots up, but they put all of the rocks and boulders back in place, cleaned up, and he "couldn't help himself" when he cleaned up lingering leaves for me! He is able to give you an estimate on your project after you send him a few pictures via text message. He and his team were very professional and did fantastic work! I had them groom a tree in our front yard and clean out the gutters. While they were on the roof they cleaned my skylights. I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did! My front garden beds were a mess. Weeds, mulch had dried up, bushes were overgrown. I presented Jerry with a landscape plan I had drawn up to update things a bit. He made some good suggestions and was very helpful. He came in within two days and trimmed, planted, laid mulch, moved shrubs and really made things look good. Because of the time of year (November) it was too late to get a few of the shrubs I wanted. Jerry filled in the areas with flowers, which look really nice. I called Hector for an estimate on yard clean up and cutting back saplings on trees I had removed last year. The other tree service said they couldn't grind the stumps because my yard was too narrow to get their equipment in. Hector said he could get a small grinder through and was able to grind not only the newly cut trees but two other old stumps in my yard. He and his crew worked hard over two days and my yard looks great and is ready for my future landscaping projects.
