This is more like a 3.5 review: I bought carpet from Home Depot and Romanoff was the company assigned to do the install. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service was great and the carpet install looks good[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] BUT they left quite a few scuff marks on the walls and baseboards. They also chipped the door frame. We don't have a lot of furniture so I am unsure as to why there were soooo many scuff marks. Our walls are cream so the scuff marks are pretty noticeable. There is only one other person that lives in the home so we had little to no scuff marks on the wall prior to the install and now we have to do touch ups in quite a few spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was not here when the carpet was installed but my mother said she told one of the guys about the chip on the door but there was a language barrier so she doesn't think he understood what she was trying to say.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

I wanted to match the existing Bruce solid hickory hardwoods that Romanoff had installed on behalf of Home Depot in my living room and hall 5 years ago. I was able to find a match, and in the previous installation, Igor from Romanoff had done an amazing job working with the color variations in hickory, so I requested him again. Those floors from 5 years ago have held up beautifully, and Igor was able to blend and install the new hickory in the bedrooms seamlessly. He is a hard worker with excellent results. After having dealt with Lowe's and their provider, Service Pros, on a recent very unfortunate tile installation, I found Romanoff to be professional with a quality and service-oriented approach. They did not once call me with a "problem" in an attempt to request more money, and the results speak for themselves. I highly recommend them, especially Igor! read more

I could not be more pleased with the job Yaroslav from Romanoff Renovations did. I replaced flooring on two floors of my home and 2 sets of (15) stairs. Yaroslav was there bright and early, stayed well into the evening. The entire job was done in 3 days and he left zero mess behind. The floors are done to perfection. In October I purchased carpeting for my stairs from the home Depot in Rivergate store in Steele Creek in NC carpet was installed on Oct 26th. On the 28th i was going up and down barefoot and got hurt 4 times on one trip up. I called Romanoff renovations the installers and they came out on Friday the 30th. The reply i got from installer was that the carpet was too thin and what I was feeling were carpet tack strips and there was nothing they can do about it, Why wouldn't the installer bring this to our attention before installing it .. This was reported to store and the store manager said there was nothing that can be done to remedy this situation because there is nothing wrong with the carpet and the install was done correctly. So.i am stuck with defective carpeting. I have dogs in the house that can get hurt .. this is a health hazard that should never have gotten to this point. Romanoff as ignored my messages after the initial evaluation. Did they use the wrong padding ? If they knew this would happen why wasnt I given the option to get it glued instead. Seriously who in their right mind would want tacks exposed that can cause injury read more

Once the order was placed with Home Depot, Romanoff Renovations followed up with a text and e-mail to confirm the installation date and followed up with reminders as the date grew closer. The installer called to confirm the time and showed up as scheduled and installed the padding and carpet in one bedroom. He gave me some tips on the carpeting and It looks great. If I could give zero stars I would. Why Home Depot uses this company is beyond me with the reviews I just read and my experience today. I had new vinyl flooring installed in our upstairs bathroom. The flooring seems to be fine but the quarter round was out up so hastily that it was nailed into the floor centimeters from the wall. Corners were not matched up and the guy kept saying that once he caulked it that it would be perfect. NO WAY am I allowing him to caulk it!!! After the guy contacted his manager and the manager telling him to just caulk it and leave I finally got ahold of The Home Depot and sent pictures. The manager agreed and called Romanoff Installations and now I have to wait until end of day to have another person from the company come out to remove the quarter round and hopefully install new quarter round that is flush. read more

Used Romanoff for vinyl plank flooring installation and carpet installation. The vinyl flooring team were doing their best to finish the job in one day although allocated for two. The master bathroom floor trim is what suffered in the rush. They did a very sloppy job in that room, especially around the spa tub. Fortunately the painters were able to caulk and repaint the boards as there were gaps and holes - a mess. The other rooms were fine, although I haven't finished inspections. The carpeting team was A+. Eric & his son Devon did a great job with installation & clean up. read more

Romanoff by Home Depot! The job was only 180 sq. ft. of basic floor tiling. After five reorders and three months of incompletion I am left with uneven tiling, transition strips that do not match, and a section of wall with no quarter round. I gave only one extra star in this review because the installers were courteous however uninformed. Communication and customer satisfaction absolutely terrible. If you value you time and piece of mind I insist you find flooring elsewhere. read more

Romanoff Renovations is the primary flooring subcontractor with Home Depot. Twice they have come to my house and let me down. The first time was 5 years ago. At that time they came to my house to put down flooring throughout the house. Prior to leaving the two men stole $30,000. worth of jewelry from my wife that was to be distributed to my 3 daughters upon her death. She died 4 years ago and the workmen knew she was dying as we told them at the time. We had to sew and they paid us the full amount we asked for. THE MONEY DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR THE THEFT. This second time they called, arranged the time to put down flooring and when the workman showed up they had not sent the flooring so he could not put it down. This is important when you are renovating a house. Things need to be done in a proper sequence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. GO TO LOWES. read more

Guys did a great job in terms of the install. However, right when they got here they tried to charge me extra to move some basic furniture and it wasn't until I showed them the contract which included it that we moved on. Then they tried to say that they didn't know if they could do the stairs bc the measurements by home depot were wrong. Well it turns out that the measurements were right and they were able to do the stairs but it was aggravating to start the day with this stuff. Again, looks great. Just didn't need the headache to start the day. read more
