I have not been here in yearssssss! Romano's Macaroni Grill has always been just "alright" to me. I have never been excited to eat at this restaurant. Sure, the bread and oil are good. But that is about it lol My mom loves the bread and oil that they give you. It is freshly baked and delicious in the oil. The ambiance was nice and quiet- verrrry quiet! It was empty on a Saturday. The food though, very mediocre. I have been to this location a few times in the past. Mostly, because someone else wanted it. Not on my own volition. Yet again, I found myself coming here, not by my choice lol But I thought, okay- just have an open mind. Did that and was not impressed. I ordered the simple salmon, added broccoli, and mashed potatoes on the side. The salmon was all right, very bland. The broccoli was fine. The potatoes had the skin on them and were not flavorful at all. I ate all my food because I was starving. But it was unsatisfying overall. My dad had stomach cramps right after we ate. Love Macaroni Grill! Went for lunch and ordered from the lunch menu. Was a little more than pre COVID but well worth it. Lots of delicious food. I only touch the lasagna after eating the mozzarella sticks, the best I ever had, Brussels sprouts, was sweet and tasty, and salad. I'd go back again. From outside you would think it's a fancy restaurant, even when your first walk in you get that idea. Then when sit, you find out there opposite. The menu is paper and mostly torn. The tables have white paper on them like we're a bunch of kids and the food was kind of disappointing. The steak was really bland, all is flavor came from the cheese. The bread was hard and not good. Waiter could not get my order right. First dish served was nowhere near what I ordered. Replacement was also wrong, but I gave up and said nothing. We do like Romano's Macaroni Grill on occasion and the food is very consistent and tasty. The service is always good and people are super friendly. We do eat there sometimes which provides a nice ambiance but mostly we order take out for pick up. The food is good, the price can be pricey though but again if the food is good, I am willing to pay for it. We ordered the Tortellacci pomodoro and we love it. The food is always fresh. Most of the time you also get a nice piece of bread with the order, this time they seem to have forgotten to put that in. Wasn't a big deal for us. Worst service. First off it was dead, Chili's was packed. Waiting for 10 mins for someone to seat us, host stand was empty. Then we we sat down, not one person greeted us or even gave us eye contact. We continued to wait for another 20 mins. I was clearly with my son who is 8 and they didn't give us a kids menu either. So during the time I waited, I wouldn't have known what to order for him anyway. Not going back, we left and went to Chili's. read more

This was one of my favorite restaurants that closed in my homestate, so while visiting CA, I jumped at the opportunity to eat here. (Sadly, the one in Rancho Cucamonga also closed so this location was a bit of a drive). It was quite empty when we arrived on a weekday night, with only a few tables occupied. I got the stuffed mushroom appetizer and loved the fresh bread. It was still the same where your server writes their name on the table. My dad got the shrimp portofino and the serving was ample and more than enough to share with me. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fettuccine and I got the mushroom ravioli for an appetizer we got bread and fried calamari. Unfortunately, about an hour after leaving my stomach started to hurt and I thought I just over ate. Very disappointed of this establishment. Today my husband and I got discriminated for being gay couple. We were seated by a tattooed waiter lady to another part of the restaurant were we waited long time patiently . She was seating straight couples at the main dining section where they were attended fast and on time. We still have the benefit of the doubt and my husband ask for service, they said no one knew who was the waiter and to wait. We waited and went to the front desk again and nothing. After 30-45 minutes of waiting my husband and I talked to the Manager and told him that all the couples and parties that were at the main table had already their food and no one had give us water or attempted to give us any service. We can believe at this time there is this kind of discrimination from this establishment. If you are LGBTQ+ community please do not go to this place they are discriminatory against us. read more

We were celebrating our 35 th anniversary. We were going to go to a very high end restaurant. But decided to go somewhere less expensive and local. We are so glad we did. We went there 5:00 on Sunday to meet family. I noticed walking in such a huge restaurant but hardly any people . I've been to another macaroni grill and it was always very busy so I was shocked . We were seated then waitress took our drink orders . Not one IPA beer on the menu just light beer , few kinds . I ordered caprese salad and so did my husband . The ingredients weren't tasting good to us . Cheese had a wierd aftertaste ( old ) and tomatoes were mushy . I couldn't eat since I didn't want to risk getting sick . They were nice brought me a salad instead . Unfortunately I tasted sand or dirt in the lettuce when chewing but I felt bad and tried to eat as much as I could . I went to restroom. It smelled like old grease smell very potent . I think this restaurant really needs to be cleaned painted and remodeled .I have never been here before and this was my experience. read more

Look, it's Macaroni Grill it's not going to be a gourmet meal - but it is good and a nice change of pace. Bread came to the table warm and very yummy with oil and vinegar to dip it in. Our server was Mia, she was nothing short of nice, attentive and I enjoyed our interaction. I had the mushroom ravioli and my husband had the special which was a parm crusted sole. I placed a to go online order, upon arriving extremely early ( 38 minutes ); I was greeted upon entry by a very wonderful customer service oriented employee by the name of Lindsey. I used the restroom which in my opinion was quit clean and then proceed to the bar to wait. I decided to order a drink and appetizers and I really didn't anticipate the amount of food that it entailed. The mozzarella was fresh and hot and very tasty! The crucnch when biting into it and the gooey mozzarella oozing out was sooo good and paired with the dipping sauce was sooo awesome! The Mac and cheese bites were really good ( surprisedly I liked them too ). The drink I ordered was not on the menue though Kyra accommodate d me and I really appreciated that. I noticed her huddling with other staff and with a person who seemed to be trying to coordinate the staff but this was causing delay as well. The food was okay, but not worth the price. There's just something about macaroni grill that I love even though it's a chain restaurant. I came on a Sunday and initially went to Chili's but didn't feel like waiting so we went to macaroni grill with no wait. We got seated promptly and put in our order. My sister got a flat gingerale and when we asked the server if it was supposed to be flat, she didn't know. I've gone to this location two times. The first time the service was better. This time I felt like the server barely came to us and was pretty low energy compared to what I'm used to when coming to any restaurant. The food itself was good so nothing to complain about as far as food. It took a very long time for the server to check up on us and my cousin ran out of lemonade for the longest time before he was able to get a refill. We went there for the Valentines special which is good from the 10-16 of February 2025. The service and the food were all fabulous! They have Monday takeout specials that are buy one get one dinner free which are also good. We love their Chicken Scallopini which we have ordered ever since they opened almost 18-20 years ago.
