I can't say I've ever had a dish wow me at Macaroni Grill. I've given them several chances, but I think it's time to give it up. The only decent thing I've had is the chicken cannelloni, and on my last visit part of the shell wasn't fully cooked! I wish the food looked half as good as the pictures this place posted here on yelp and on their website. What a huge let down if you go in expecting that quality! The service was spotty as well (if I have to keep asking for refills on my water, that annoys me). To make things worse my bf sent back a dish because the pasta was undercooked, and less than 5 minutes later the waitress brings back what he swears was the same dish but only heated up in the microwave. He ended up just asking for something else. I wouldn't really recommend this place... there are better places to eat at for the same price or even less. read more

We ordered take out pasta and a soup for dinner. The pasta was supposed to have a pesto sauce. It had about a teaspoon of sauce for a full bowl of pasta. The soup was an $8 bowl of Lobster bisque. WOW!!! Great for Groups! My Daughter Held there Cheer Team Christmas Luncheon here a couple of days ago. Last year we did the same thing however they really mixed up the bills and it took over an hour to get it organized. This year they did a GREAT Job!!! Each person had there menu on a piece of paper. You wrote your last name at the top of the paper and you circled what you wanted to eat. At the end of the meal, EVERY Check was correct!!! Hats off to the Staff/Manager who thought up this idea for large groups. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff did a great job managing such a large group of girls Thank you so much. I seriously read every single review on here before I went. This place was one of the very few close to us open on Christmas Eve. I had many hesitations because of those reviews, but it was a very good experience. The food/service/ambiance was all great. I wish I could remember the exact names of what we ordered, but alas. I know I had a cup of soup, a small Caesar and some kind of spicy cheese tortellini. Yum! I felt bad for our waitress working tonight, but my sister left her a huge tip. Upon entering the restaurant we waited and waited to be served. I think that the food is kind of expensive $18 -$19 for salmon when it it doesn't include a Salad The waiter was nice the couple of times he came to our table. The hostess surprised everyone in the restaurant by singing an Opera song which was very enjoyable. When I received the bill they did not remove the cost of the sodas which was removed from the table shortly after being seated due to being flat without any fizz. Placed our $70 order online and was given a 20 min wait till we could pick up our order. Totally fine. We get there and end up waiting about 40 mins on top of the 15 min drive it took us to get there. My husband went in to check on the order and we were told we would need to wait an additional 30 minutes. He then asked for a refund due to the extended wait time and to cancel the order. They said they could cancel the order but because he placed it online they wouldn't be able to give him a refund because the guy that does that "isn't in". My husband then had to call & speak with the manager who said he would follow up with us tomorrow. We will see how this goes. read more

Wow has this restaurant gone south. When the waitress came to our table we told her that we needed to order everything at once because we were limited to one hour. She took our drink order which took 12 minutes to get. Mind you, they were not busy at all. The lime on my margarita had signs of better days, Bread was dry, never offered to add more olive oil and cracked pepper for dipping the bread, never offered to bring out waters and when we asked for a water she acknowledged and never brought it. she seemed to careless about our request to expedite throughout the entire time. Not sure who is managing this place. Been coming here for years. There was obviously some change because service sucks. One bartender for entire restaraunt on weekends. It is terrible to watch them try to do the job of 3 people. Remember there are many other places customers can go for much better service. I'm sure you are losing loyal customers. Invest in experienced, well recommended managers. Ensure two bartenders at minimum. Use to love this place. I anticipate this location closing down in the future. read more

We were in the mood for Italian. Haven't been here in a while. Holy cow things have changed. Not sure why the bread is served. Not sure how it even qualified as bread. Obviously pre-frozen yuk. After having them bring the third, we simply gave up on the bread option. I ordered fettuccine with peppers, spinach and mushroom. Sauce was to be Alfredo. Well! No peppers, but lots of roasted garlic, which I did not order. Alfredo sauce? Nope, but not sure what the sauce was. Perhaps left over everything with a little extra salt to throw me off. We did try an appetizer first. Bruschetta with burned bread. Nice and crunchy. The wait was not too bad - 45 minutes. So I had time to visit the mens room. I believe the zoo must have been earlier that day because the smell made me feel like I was being hunted by some giant stinkasauraus. Damn, clean the restroom sometime this year - PLEASE. My wife went into the ladies room and turned right back around worried she might catch something. Needless to say, we CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. My husband and I visited this location for the first time yesterday, I rarely leave reviews but our experience was exceptional. Our server, Kaylin was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was enjoyable and the food was absolutely delicious! We tried several items including the truffle fries, lobster bisque, tomato basil soup, eggplant parmigiana, and the porcini ravioli. Every dish was impeccable, we had no complaints! Since it was our anniversary we got a piece of chocolate cake to go and it was pure heaven. My wife placed an order for the Feast for Five at Twenty-five at approximately 2:15 pm on Sunday on 4/26. It is now 7:00 pm. After three or four phone calls we were told something had happened and our order had sat there all day. Finally on the last two calls we only wanted to cancel our order and get a refund. We were told both times that would not be possible until the young man spoke to his manager. We still have no refund and no food. I want no free food or comp's and I will not accept that. I never complain about ANYTHING and I have NEVER accepted offers to make it "right." I emailed the corporate and told them this is ridiculous and if this is not fixed tonight this will go on Twitter, Facebook, linked In and our neighborhood online rag and I will go to the restaurant tomorrow and I will not leave until I have the refund in hand. read more

I know some people don't like dining out on Christmas but we decided to go out for a change. Ordered appetizers our waiter rarely came by to check on us. Flagged him down and finally ordered our meals. It wasn't busy and our waiter kept walking past us not once asking if we needed drinks refilled or if we needed anything. We were taking and the hostess heard us questioning how much longer for our food and then a relief waitress came on and asked us if we wanted refills. Our waiter forgot to bring salad twice and had to remind him. He basically treated us like we were bothering him throughout the 3 hours we were there. I split the choose your own pasta plate with farfalle pasta, Alfredo sauce, roasted tomatos, and chicken...5stars! We got a new York style cheesecake that was 4 stars, kinda dry tbh. Cam was our server, did an excellent job, and was very knowledgeable on menu items, as I've never been to Romano's before. I had the build your own penne and my girlfriend had the cappelini. The pasta was a perfect al dente, the Italian sausage was great, and the sauces on both dishes were excellent. The staff held up very well on a busy Friday night. To be perfectly honest the hospitality shined through from many places I've been in a long time. First of all the front staff is amazing, As for the food it is disgusting from the appetizers to the main coarse no flavor. We started with the Mac and cheese balls and they were still cold and tasteless and we had the fried mozzarella it had 0 flavor it tasted like it had been frozen for a long time nothing but water goop. The chicken parm was bland and soggy it was served at room temperature my wife got the moms trio, the meatballs were tasteless and cold and mushy the chicken parm was the same as mine soggy and bland served at room temp, as for the Alfredo it was dry and over powered with too much truffle oil. On top of all of this an hour after we left we both got sick as dogs and ruined the rest of my wifes birthday if I could rate it negative stars I would. save yourself from the restroom and the disappointment and go somewhere else. I frequented a Macaroni Grill in Monrovia CA years ago and expected this to be the same experience. However, I was very disappointed here. I noticed that all of their dishes are relying on "creamy" sauces. I gave up milk products about a year ago and now it really upsets my stomach to have it. The waiter did have the chef make the sauce on my chicken pasta without the cream which was fine. However, I paid extra for unlimited soup and salad. I ordered the Cesar salad, which was very creamy and the Lobster Bisque (mistake on my part as it is all milk). I immediately got very bad indigestion. I had also ordered the red Sangria. It was mainly orange juice and made my stomach feel worse. My waiter agreed to switch the sangria for red wine which was much better. I thought this ordeal was caused from my mistake of eating the Lobster Bisque, until about an hour later when my friend began having the same bad stomach problems that I had. She has no problem with milk products and had eaten only the Mushroom Ravioli. We both ended up with diarrhea and she went home and said she had to take anti diarrhea meds. It took hours before my stomach and intestines settled down. I no longer think the problem was my problem with milk products. I am wondering if the dishes weren't rinsed correctly, etc. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. read more

On 2.14.22, my wife and I decided to go out to eat for the first time in several years. We went to Macaroni Grill at the Forum around 6pm. They said the wait would be about an hour and took our name, never mentioning need for reservation.. After about an hour of waiting, I checked to see the status of our table, I was told we would be next, with no mention of reservations needed. Another hour went by so I went to check the status of our turn, I was told all of the reservations had to be taken first, this was after waiting for two hours, then they decide to mention reservations. All they had to do was tell us before we had to wait, not cool, unexceptable. We waited in consideration of them being short-handed but to never be told there would be no table for us wasn't right. read more

She looked at me confused and said she did not think they had one. I then threw a confused look back and told her that on their internet site it seemed they had a great happy hour. (**so I was a bit saddened by this, one if they did have a happy hour how traggic that she had NO flipping idea and two take some initiative and learn what you are doing, how you react you are the FIRST experience for that patron**). So she asked her co worker who stated they do have a happy hour but it is served in the bar area. She then states, she has only worked there three weeks. Muaaahaha. Gurrrrrl, I would have kept that-ish to yourself, the fact that it was not your first day). So we arrived. Bartender was great! Friendly and his drinks were good. His service was stellar. The food sucked. We tried almost everythg on the hh menu and was ALL not so good. The fried Brussels were my fav despite the balsamic redux not being quite sweet enough. The friend artichokes were greezy and tasted like they were old and had not been ordered for hecka long. The flat bread and the cheese board thing was disappointing.
