Disappointed, our table was less than 10 ft from the kitchen. Back of the house timing was way off! Next door two top tables had similiar order placed at the same time. Over 30 minutes later, the other two top had been served, eaten, and boxed their leftovers up To Go. Our entrees had not come. Luckily, we had ordered Peirogies. Their Peirogies are advertised as homemade. We chose them sauteed with onions. What we were served was a soup bowl of melted butter with cooked onions and Peirogies. Melted butter was all your tasted. Please look into Back of the House retraining. Restaurant didn't look too slammed. Not sure. With over a 30 minute wait for inedible food, we suspect that our food ticket was lost. It wasn't until we asked about our order, that they then threw something together. Return doubtful.

Seriously, you could navigate through one of these with your eyes closed. Once you've been in one Cracker Barrel, you've pretty much been in them all, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. They're almost always located right off of a highway exit, and what you find there is exactly what you expect. The closest thing to an old school diner experience that you could expect. The menu has gone through some changes over the years. I think they recently added Uncle Herschel's breakfast back which was actually a really big deal to me because that was always my thing. Just like getting the Rooty Tutti Fresh and Fruity from IHOP mainly because I like saying that. Appetizers are fantastic! Fried pickles are a little salty but oh so tasty! The beignets are really good. They now have a cinnamon bun skillet which is great. It looks a little terrifying in the menu because you think it's way bigger than it is, but it's a decent size to split between three or four people, so it makes a great high carb okay, it's a pure carbohydrate appetizer and it's worth it. Typically it's a friendly atmosphere, kitschy ambiance, kids love to play the peg game, comfy rocking chairs outside if you have to wait a while.
