This hole in the wall has some really damn good food. I had the 2 taco plate with the asada and the carnitas and lemme tell ya somethin, it's absolutely amazing. The carnitas in particular are just what I look for when I order that dish. Portions were generous and the plating was so cool. They got those stone dish things for the salsa and I always love seeing that. I ordered an extra side of rice and that didn't disappoint at all. We cam here about 8 months ago, the place was a bit new but the food was nothing special, but we decided to give it a second today. WOW! Chips and guacamole? The chips were perfectly hot, but crisp, not greasy in the slightest. The enchilada and taco combo was perfect. They didn't skinp on the shredded beef at all and it was all perfectly seasoned. Great authentic Mexican food spot located in the 7-11 strip mall off moultan parkway & ridge route. Owner was extremely kind and gave me a free slice of their new pizza with my order of 2 carne asada tacos. Pizza was really good, sauce was on point, crust was perfect, pepperoni was nice and thick. The tacos were seasoned perfectly and tortillas were FRESH!! Make sure you try the HOT green salsa, it's PHENOMENAL. I was craving carnitas so I did a search on my helpful Yelp app and lo & behold, this place popped up! I called in my order and went on my way to pick it up. By the time I got there (15 min later), it was ready and waiting! I opened up my box to ensure that everything that I ordered was correct (I always do that), and indeed, it was. The only thing I noticed is that my carnitas didn't come with guacamole. I asked how much it cost for a side of guac, and she explained the 3 different sizes and the cost of each. I settled on the small size, and she ended up giving it to me for free! Now that's service! I went to the salsa bar to get some salsa to go, and they were running low. She noticed that I was scraping the bottom of the salsa bowl and went in the back and got me a big cup of salsa to go! Again, remarkable service! By the time I got home, my carnitas and the entire meal was still warm! I was surprised at how much carnitas they gave me! And the carnitas were soft and moist, not dry in any way and not greasy. Just perfect! The plate came with rice and pinto beans, which were standard, and plenty of flour tortillas for the carnitas. The only thing that was just average to me was their chips. The entire carnitas plate was less than $10 and I could easily make 2 meals out of it! This place is located in a strip shopping mall area next to Enterprise Rent A Car, a cleaners, a massage place and Maki Yaki. It's a hole in the wall, but appeared clean. I'd give this place 4.5 stars if I could. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area! read more

Ordered Roman's for the first time via the Foodsby app. I have 2 reasons for giving them 2 stars. 1. I ordered the burrito which is described as "beans and rice" and you pick your protein. Nothing in there says anything about tomatoes, onions, pico de gallo, or anything else eluding to anything other than the listed ingredients being in the burrito. The burrito has onions and tomatoes laced through the entire thing. I don't know if this is Roman's fault, or the Foodsby app. Either way, Roman should be checking on their representation on the Foodsby app for accuracy. 2. So, I took a few bites and I'm not a fan of onions or tomatoes, but thought I'd give it a go anyway...surprise, still don't like tomatoes and onions. I proceed take the burrito apart (more work than I like to do to eat) and pick through to just eat the rice, beans and carne asada. It was decent tasting at best. Poor experience. read more

Hidden Gem tucked away in a quiet little corner of Laguna Hills. I've lived here for a while and took this place for granted and only came by once every few months. The people are nice, and they have a wide variety of great tasting food. You can order something different every time and it would still take months to get through all the selections. Carnitas is my go to plate though. The Mon-Fri lunch specials are a great value. The only gripe I have are they got rid of the awesome salsa bar and never brought it back. It really was the kicker that made this place perfectly well rounded. Please Romans, bring back the salsa bar and I'll swing by every day :) :) read more

I used to work across the street from this place, so I would go there almost every week for lunch. Everything I tried was really good, but I especially liked their pastor plate, carnitas plate, and enchilada plate. They have a great house salsa and chips that you can snack on while waiting for your food to come out. They have a solid salsa bar too, with a good selection of red/green salsas, pico, pickled veggies, and lime. I've also tried their pizza, which was surprisingly good. They use really fresh ingredients and have some nice choices that you wouldn't see in any other place serving pizza. Everyone working there is also extremely friendly.
