I had been seeing La Tia Tacos popping up here in South OC. Curiosity got the kids and I when we saw that they had birria. We have our go-to Mexican joints down here and typically stick to them, but recently had to add La Tia Tacos to our rotation. La Tia Tacos in Foothill Ranch, is in the town center's food court where Rubio's used to be. La Tia's is bright and airy, colorful and modern. The restaurant space has dining inside and outdoors in their own patio as well as the food court seating. There is an awesome salsa bar off to the side. The salsas and veggies are all home made from scratch. They're absolutely delicious. Refillable drinks are available at the soda fountain, some in bottles at the register too, but the star beverage for me is that fresh brewed tea. I have to get a large cup every time in case they start closing up and toss it out, which happened once. What we've ordered: 1) quesabirria tacos - 5/5. They have a special plate that comes with three quesabirrias and consome for $11.99. Add fresh chopped onions and cilantro, squeeze some lime, dip and enjoy. So good. 2) blackened shrimp taco - 5/5 3) carnitas taco - 5/5 4) la tia bowl with carnitas - 4/5. I liked everything about this but wasn't a really huge fan of the sauce. 5) la tia plate with carnitas - 5/5. I enjoyed this one. Comes with beans and rice. Perfect with the red onions and the marinated carrots from the salsa bar. Served with corn tortillas. The menu has a lot to offer and is bound to have something for everyone in your party. Since discovering La Tia, we've literally been there almost every week. I still have a lot of other food items to try and I'm sure we'll get to that. The service has been good and the lady at the front remembers my family. She greets us with a big smile every time we see each other which makes for a pleasant experience.

It's become my go-to spot for taco Tuesday for both its great prices and the tasty tacos. It's a newer addition to the Foothill Ranch food court. It's light and bright with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They're very friendly and helpful when ordering or just picking up an online order.

I was watching the DUCKS game and was craving tacos. Lately quesabirria tacos have been hitting. So I tried this new spot. Ordered on postmates. Deliver was quick. I got the 2 plate quesabirria tacos for 12.99. In the postmate description of the plate it doesn't mention that it comes with Conzome. So I ordered an extra Conzome for $3.99. Great deal for 3 tacos, and Conzome. I would give tacos 8.5 out of 10. I wish they had a teeny bit more cheese. But the meat was really good. I was so excited to eat that I didn't get a picture before I started eating.

Found this place driving through my old stomping grounds in Lake Forest. I am always looking for the best California Burritos in town and this place definitely hit the spot. For starters, the burrito is of moderate size, enough for me to eat 75% of and save the 25% for later. The California Burritos actually have sour cream and guac unlike other places where they make you pay extra. Also tried their quesobirria tacos which is TO DIE FOR. The consume is perfection and don't even get me started on their large horchata. Not chalky and watered down -- the perfect amount of sweetness. I have eaten here a total of 3 times now since I discovered it last week. Phone in ahead, order online, or do it in-store. The tacos and burritos here will hit the good spot everytime.

The loss of Rubio's was a sad one in terms of an option for Taco Tuesday that did things a little bit differently, but I am upset at myself for not having tried this place sooner. This is a legit taco joint in the least expected place of the Foothill Ranch Towne Center, and you wouldn't think it by the iconography, which feels rather modern. They make great use of space with the salsa bar that makes it easy for you to get as much as you want, with great variety and options even more than places that do it pretty well. It's a no-brainer to do Taco Tuesday, where for $2 each you can choose from your selection of your more typical classic options, so while it might be less than some that really have the wide variety of meats, you won't find yourself disappointed whether you're more into carne asada or al pastor and the chicken lovers have a great grilled chicken option as well. I've seen some reviews talking about wait times, but when I went, they were super fast and I got my food out and in my stomach in about the same amount of time they took to fulfill my order. That's how you know it's fast food. The breakfast burrito looks super tempting and I'm always looking to broaden my horizons on my search for the best breakfast burrito in the area, which normally comes from breakfast joints, but a taqueria is sure to do it amazingly as well. TIP: Taco Tuesdays are awesome here.

The tacos and CA burrito are the faves in our household ... Along with the green salsa! Also my fam say the beans slap...I can't eat beans so I can't confirm. Love the curbside pu.

The carne asada taco was so flavorful. I also tried the carne asada nachos. Super good and filling! Definitely enough toppings! Salsa bar had great options! Wasn't too impressed with the Al pastor but definitely better than most places I've been to! Definitely will be coming back to try more carne asada plates!

Great tacos and good salsa bar. Taco Tuesday deals make it even better, with tacos priced at just $2.25 each. The flavors are fresh, simple, and satisfying, with a nice variety of toppings to choose from. The salsa bar adds extra value, offering different heat levels and tastes to suit everyone. Service is quick and friendly, making it an easy spot to grab a casual meal. Definitely worth stopping by on a Tuesday for a tasty, affordable bite that keeps you coming back again often.

In the mood for tacos/mexican food and we decided to check out this place. It's located in a outside food court area with other restaurants, you have the option of sitting inside or outside in the patio area. Being it was a Sunday night and kind of chilly outside we chose to sit inside where there was plenty of seating available. The restaurant was very clean and they had a very nice salsa bar, with three or four salsa options and they all were really good! We chose a potato taco, Carne Asada taco, Carnitas taco, Al Pastor and a plain chicken taco with rice and a side of chips and salsa. They were all really good we all enjoyed our tacos!! I especially like the potato taco and the Carne Asada taco. They have a Taco Tuesday where I believe the tacos are $2.75, service was friendly and there's plenty of parking. I would definitely come back for more tacos and also to try other items on their menu. Come check them out!

My husband and I have visited a few times now, and the food has been consistently excellent. We've tried a variety of items, including their tacos, Carne Asada burritos, and taquitos; everything has been fresh and high-quality. The shrimp taco salad is my new favorite- it's delicious and incredibly fresh. Between the great guacamole, fresh salsas, and consistently friendly service, this place always delivers. I ordered the two-item combo with rice and beans and went with the shredded beef hard shell tacos. The tacos actually had good flavor, and they were generous with both the meat and cheese. The rice and beans came in solid portions and tasted good as well, so that part of the meal was satisfying. My wife ordered the chile verde burrito chimichanga style, and that's where the experience dropped off a bit. The pork had very little flavor and, considering it's supposed to be simmered in chile verde sauce, it was surprisingly dry. Service was good. We went on a Friday night and the place was fairly busy with a mix of dine-in and takeout orders, but everything moved along smoothly. They also have a solid salsa selection, and the green jalapeño sauce in particular stood out. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood Mexican spot if you're looking for a quick meal, but nothing that really sets it apart from the many other options in the area.

There's some real talent and creativity going on in the kitchen. Gas station food has no right being this delicious and the fancy presentation and plating was a pleasant surprise. There are parking spaces around the edge of the gas station or a few somewhat cramped parking spots right in front of the entrance. You can enter through either door and the cafe is 4 small tables at the back of a gas station. You order at the counter and after we were seated we got some freshly fried chips along with a delicious bean dip. The breakfast burrito is definitely a contender for the best in Orange County. I went with bacon and sausage and the combination of meats, sauces, and potatoes was perfect. It had a great balance of flavors and textures and managed to be decadent without being overly fatty or saucy. The grilled exterior and presentation added to the experience. Salt levels and seasoning were great for all the ingredients and the sausage was particularly good in the breakfast burrito. Their eggs Benedict was also well executed with the poached eggs perfectly cooked and an excellent hollandaise sauce. This place is a bit out of the way so I also got a couple of tacos to go because I was too full to eat anymore. They have both larger tacos as well as street tacos. I got the larger asada tacos and they had too much meat for my preference. The meat was delicious as was the salsa from the self serve salsa bar. While this cafe doesn't have the ambience(or the high price tag)of a trendy brunch spot, the food can definitely compete.

The moment I walked into the restaurant, I was welcomed with smiles, amazing smells, and great service. After looking over the menu, we decided on a few different things. When I go out to eat, I like to let the cooks do what they do best and experience their dishes through their own style, creativity, and personal touch. That is part of what makes dining out special. For my meal, I ordered the "Fish de Veracruz," and it was truly delicious. First off, there was a generous amount of food, which for me is never a problem! (Ha ha.) The olive tomato sauce with capers paired with the red snapper was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly tender, moist, and flaked apart with ease. The flavor was all there, and I didn't even need to ask for limes, salt, or hot sauce because honestly, it didn't need anything added. My wife ordered the breakfast burrito with green sauce on top, served with rice and beans. She chose the pinto beans, and she also really enjoyed her meal. She especially loved the sauce on top, saying it was very flavorful without being spicy. She felt it really completed the burrito by adding another layer of texture and flavor. My daughter, being a toddler, can be a little picky, so she kept it simple with rice, beans, guacamole, and chips. However, she absolutely enjoyed her meal, along with the fresh lemonade they made for us, which she couldn't get enough of. I will also add that eating my dish brought me back to memories of being at my grandmother's house in Puerto Vallarta as a child, enjoying a home cooked meal while she made me laugh and served me food with love. That feeling of comfort is something special that good food can bring back. I did take some time to read through other reviews online to see if they matched my experience, and I noticed they were very mixed. Some customers mentioned concerns about prices, wait times, incorrect orders, or feeling that they did not receive enough value for what they paid. At the same time, others shared experiences like mine and described it as some of the best Mexican food they have had. I can only speak from my own experience, and based on how my family and I were treated, the quality of the food, and the overall atmosphere, our visit was a very positive one. Every restaurant can have an off day, and everyone's expectations are different, but I can only share what happened during our visit. For us, it was a good experience filled with great food, kindness, and hospitality. Olamedies may not be the biggest restaurant, but it is full of warmth, heart, and incredible flavors. I would definitely recommend giving it a try based on my own experience, and I personally look forward to coming back again soon!
