Is this really a business? This might be a great store, but I wasn't able to actually find out. I took specific time to take the 45 minute drive to Santa Cruz to check out the shop. When I arrived at 11:50 am the hours posted were different from their website. Their website said M-F 10-9, I was there on a Tuesday. Posted hours were 12:00 pm. OK, I figured I was a little early now and I didn't want to head home without checking out the store, so I went to go get a cup of coffee. Cute hole-in-the-wall tucked away behind Salsa's taco shop. The lady who was working there has a very outgoing energetic personality and truly seems passionate about their products. She loves sharing samples of the flavored lubricants and genuinely has a knack for picking up on personality types and good products. They make a lot of their oils by hand in small batches, and they're all vegan-friendly! Great selection of corsets (especially pleased with the plus size products) and other intimate wear. The store might be great and beautiful and I might be the only one reviewer who gives the pleasure party rep a really BIG FAT ZERO! This is what Yelp is about so Believe me or not this is my experience. Our "specialist" was the one demonstrating products, lingerie (that we missed cuz we were late) and who told some entertaining stories. during demonstrations I wanted to be part of the "Apple Pie" tasting product I make apple pies so of course i want to try it but for me "IN MY OPINION" which I am entitled to without disrespecting the "specialist". I won't pretend for no one because it is being told to me. It is my OPINION. AGAIN, I was not hating on on the "specialist". I am not an uptight hating kinda female. The "specialist" made a statement while demonstrating other products that "There is always a BITCH at a party saying chit don't taste the way it should"... I did blow it off as I knew it was directed at me and I was the only female to say a product didn't taste what i expected. Oh well this person is mad and shouldn't be. Anyway so me and my girls continued tasting the products and we would say how we could taste this or that and by this time the specialist seemed to be irritated and said stop trying to figure out the flavors! WHY when you were clearly saying throughout the entire thing what does it taste like? Doesn't it taste like blah blah blah.... come on now... So, at the end I went up to see the lingerie she brought and she wasn't trying to show me, was busy doing some texting/loading up on her phone just blowing me off, ok that's cool.. at this point im feeling like why should I buy anything from this specialist but it was my friends party and honestly I really needed some items.. lol... I wanted to wait for everyone to be done as their were some items I couldn't find in the catalog. She just seemed like she didn't even want to deal with me cuz we came late and this is what really gave it away she says " You know usually people who come late never buy anything and you guys are the first ones to spend some money" .. I was like well there is a first time for everything.... I then began to think well maybe that is why she had attitude and you think it would have changed there right.. NOPE... so before everyone started ordering she mentioned if you pay by CASH or CHECK you get a free gift...... Our orders arrive and what do you know do you think me or the two other chics with me got their FREE GIFT.... NOPE AGAIN!!! and when I asked my friend who threw the party asked the provider she stated the free gift was a TAPE DISPENSER... REally a TAPE DISPENSER??? Oh wait its a DICK TAPE DISPENSER, that's how its relevant! =0S lol!... Still do you think she tried sending them out or making up for that error I don't care if it was a dam paper efn clip you said we get a FREE GIFT; SUPPLY IT!! OH get this all the other girls at the party got theirs.. HMMMM....... I spent well over $200 and I have been in customer service for many years this is entirely unprofessional not to mention she was complaining about her coworker calling in last minute leaving her to do other parties that day and the next day when she had other plans.. like we care keep that to yourself and that's not OUR fault... Maybe its your attitude that makes people not respect you. I bought your products anyway because I would be walking away without some pleasure due to your attitude. Nope, not this chic. I could have went somewhere else but I just won't ever buy anything further from this person/company due to the service. If I offended this person in anyway, it's a business of consumer opinions. What is for one isn't for another. Its our right. If it was a bad day well we all have those. Maybe on those days don't go to work. BTW- One of the products came unlabeled and the other label was put upside down. Assembler issues or a bitter employee/owner who knows. I felt my review was required because running this type of business with that attitude is unacceptable; PERIOD! It was a pleasure party. I have never had such a awful experience from a provider of a pleasure party! The specialist did tell good stories but her attitude towards her paying customers is a review that can't go unsaid. I had my bachelorette pleasure party last weekend and I wanted to write a positive review for this company because it was an amazing experience. I am a little on the shy side, so I wouldn't have ever planned this for myself, but my best friends are all wild women, so I guess they thought I needed this. Well, the consultant (possibly the company owner?) came out at did our party on Friday night, and was really fun and engaging. She shared lots of tips with me and my friends which was SO helpful for me since, like I said, I am shy and I need all the help I can get before I get married next month. Anyways, all the products she passed around were really yummy tasting and smelling, and served LOTS of interesting and fun purposes! When it was time to order, I got a couple of items for myself, which the lady kept private from my friends so that I wouldn't be embarrassed. Also my friends pitched in and got me a massive gift card, so I was able to get more stuff, like Lingerie and some honeymoon toys. Since I was in Santa Cruz, I stopped into the shop the next day and looked at some more of the Lingerie styles and toys that they didn't bring to the party and WOW... let me just say that it was quite the experience. If you haven't been into this place, you need to go. It's really nice looking, 1st off, and 2ndly, they stock everything a woman needs to have an enjoyable experience! I got even MORE tips about different products that weren't showed at my party when I went into the shop and I ended up getting some more lingerie and some edible/scented body stuff. I even spent a little out of my own pocket because I kind of got into it and wanted to make sure I was stocked up on my honey moon. Anyways, later in the week when I got my stuff and spoke with my girlfriends, they all said they had a blast and it was the best pleasure party they had ever been too. I told them I went into the store and that they had to too because it was an otherworldly experience. In short, my experience was great. The party consultant, was really friendly, and fun. She was informative (which was SO helpful for me since I am so shy) and nice to me and my friends. They had a large selections of toys and treats and lingerie- especially plus size lingerie and petite stuff (I am plus size so it's hard to find things that flatter and are still affordable, but my maid of honor is a size 2 and even found some stuff she liked, which was surprising for her!). When I went into the store the next day, it was clean and smelled good and full of amazing looking and sounding items that I am sure I will be back to try out in the future. When I am in town, I will definitely stop by this store again. Finally a store in Santa Cruz that sells adult items but is classy and really appeals to a woman's point of view. If you're a little shy about buying 'romantic accessories' this is the place to go. The owner is super nice and does her best to make people feel comfortable. Shes honest if something doesnt work for your body type - and I never feel like Ive been sold something that doesnt look awesome. They have a budoir-type dressing room which makes it feel really fun to try on stuff here. Tons of choices in my size which is hard for me to find usually. I've had passion parties naughty girl parties and this was my first time attending a romantic night for 2 and lets just say I would not book a party or recommend this company to anyone. They make you pay a flat rate of $9 for shipping (everyone) then they don't ship it to you they bring it to consultant and then she has to try and find time in her busy schedule to get it all to everyone. so inconvenient for everyone. I am a lingerie snob! This means that I expect quality when I buy it. I also don't expect to look like I just strolled out of Kmart either. I have been a happy customer for a year, and will continue to be so. Now they have shoes!!!! About time! :-) I have ALWAYS been happy about the quality, look, and durability of the lingerie I bought there. I never had to return anything, and I never had remorse for anything I purchased. I get great customer service and I like the fact that I get special attention from the staff that works there and help in selecting my outfits-you don't get that at Victoria Secret! So, I like the more one-on-one attention. Also, they truly get my figure shape, and have a wide selection for it. So they cater to curvy girls like me. Also, the worst thing about going to Victoria Secret, or Fredericks- this that Everything is below a C cup in their store...anything higher than that is every Grandma looking! Yuck and very depressing! I like that they carry things for women with a bigger bust. They seem to just cater to all people and no one is excluded! The store has ALWAYS been clean and organized.
