I'm going to preface this review with the fact that I'm not a fan of Italian food. Weird, I know, everyone tells me that. My diet also is 99.9% tacos when I'm in Cabo. That said, my fiance is of Italian origins and so when we were highly recommended Romeo y Julieta by frequent visitors of Cabo, we decided to give it a try. This restaurant is nuzzled in between a coffee shop and other businesses, but has a romantic ambience. The parking lot is small and shared with the other businesses, so I'd recommend walking or taking an Uber. We were promptly seated after checking in with the hostess outside. The interior carried the romantic, cozy vibes throughout. There was live music the night we were there, which was nice. Our server greeted us and asked if we wanted bottle water, which of course we did since we don't want tap water. I assumed the shared small bottle of water would be complimentary or at least very cheap (you can get extremely cheap bottled water everywhere), so we were shocked when our bill arrived at they charged us $5 for the one tiny bottle of basic water. I could see if it was sparkling, but not standard water. The plus was the complimentary bread, which was a delicious assortment served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We placed our order of pollo parmigiana and gnocchi di ricotta. My fiance had the parmigiana and really enjoyed it. I had the gnocchi and it had good flavor, the spinach was a nice offset to the rich sauce. The portion for me was fine as I don't eat much, but if my fiance would have ordered the gnocchi he would have left very hungry still. Overall it was a good dinner and a nice ambiance. However, we both agreed we wouldn't return as the other food in Cabo is much better, in our opinion. read more

The service was good and the atmosphere was romantic. Their high chairs do not have straps so I was worried my kid would climb out. They have indoor and outdoor seating here. We ordered the salad, small pizza for the baby, chicken parm and the veal. The veal was on the salty side and I didn't like it as much. I only went once and probably would not visit again. They had live music and the guitarist played wonderfully. The music was the highlight of our dinner. Definitely try at least once for the atmosphere and their caesar salad. Update: Another disappointing trip here. They put us in a room that was freezing by ourselves when there were plenty of tables open in the main dining area. A server came and poured bottled waters before asking if we wanted them. We asked to be moved to a different room but they said no so we decided we didn't want to sit through an expensive dinner freezing and told them we changed our mind. He charged us $10 for 3 small bottles of water that we didn't ask for. We are back here again and a local recommended this place so giving it another try. I'll update after we eat but I had to update my review in order to see what I posted before. Last experience was bad but I didn't see it until we already arrived so we decided to give it another shot. read more

This place has been remodeled in a while - has a charming brick patio vibe. Food was excellent though; enjoyed the cannelloni and pizza that we ordered. Service was fair - they did have a pretty large party that ordered right before us. During of visits to Cabo, we've always wanted to come here but never had a moment. This time, we visited TWICE! The atmosphere is beautiful. I wish my backyard looked like this! It's lushes with greenery and bricks. On both nights, live music came on playing acoustic versions of popular hits. Pizza Della Casa was ordered both nights. I highly recommend it. Pizzas have a wood fire grill taste to it and perfectly cooked. First night, we ordered some eggplant-ish pasta. I don't recommend it as much as I do the pizza. The caesar salad was made table side, absolutely from scratch. Gentleman said that he makes up to 150 salads A NIGHT. If that doesn't say ORDER ME, I don't know what does. I've seen this place last year when we visited cabo. Made reservations day off which was mid week so it wasn't to crowded. Your greeted with the hostess and walked in. There's a red carpet at the entrance for that extra bougie vibe. The restaurant itself was really beautiful. It was indoor and outdoor depending on where you were seated. They had live music which was great. Menu was quite impressive as well as the drink. Food was excellent. Pizza was really good as well as the pasta. We also had the fritto misto to start which was quite nice. A bottle of wine and of course dessert to top it off. The seafood pasta was very tasty, plenty of seafood. Pizza was outstanding. As well as the dessert which took an additional 15 min or so to prepare which was fine. Also, if you check in on Yelp there's a free margaritas offered. Glad we checked out this place from seeing it last year. Food was excellent, staff was friendly, service was amazing, beautiful restaurant. Will totally be returning. read more

Probably the best Italian restaurant in Cabo! The vibes were fun, inviting, and cozy. They handled our big, rowdy party of 38 with ease. Live music was a big plus also. For food, we had their ceasar salad, choice of lasagna bolognese, lemon butter sea bass, or chicken parmesan, then tiramisu or gelato for dessert. Can't go wrong with their ceasar salad, especially bc it normally comes made table side. The most popular entree seemed to be the lasagna as it was a generous portion, but I really liked the light lemon butter sea bass. Tiramisu for dessert was good, light, and not overly sweet. The highlight of this restaurant though is definitely the service. They are very fast at anticipating your every need. Drinks were always full whether it was bottled water, wine, cocktails, or beer. Our vacation group can be a handful, but they made it seem like a breeze. I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant in Cabo! PS. Their complimentary bread at every table is AMAZING! My family has been going to Romeo y Julieta every time we go to Cabo for as long as I can remember - about 20 years if not more. It is probably the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at - the staff is talented and friendly, the atmosphere is romantic and welcoming (especially whenever there is live acoustic guitar) and the food is phenomenal. We even had out Rehearsal Dinner there back in 2009 and they delighted all of our wedding party. My favorites are the Burrata cheese appetizer (which is perfectly accompanied by fig, toasted walnuts, heirloom cherry tomatoes, pear, and cucumber) and the Combo Romeo for dinner (it's like a surf n' turf and perfect for those who cannot decide - it has tenderloin, mushrooms sauce, Alfredo pasta and garlic shrimps). But you must not miss their Caesar Salad to share (made to order table side - pre-covid) nor their Flaming Spanish Coffee for dessert - prepared with a full on table side show complete with fire (which still happens table side during covid, thank goodness!) Be sure to book a reservation for any special occasion or particular night in advance because you do not want to miss this place when in Cabo! read more
