I would give this company zero stars if that were an option. We had an oil delivery this morning, and immediately afterward our heating system shut off. Despite this happening right after their delivery, the company refused to take any responsibility. When I spoke with a supervisor, I was told that their representative was "not trained enough" to tell us that if the oil tank is empty, we must specifically request a restart, which costs an additional $75. However, they had no problem clearly explaining that an emergency delivery would cost $200. Because of the extreme cold, we used more oil than usual and didn't realize how low our tank was. I have never run out of oil before, so I had no way of knowing I needed to ask for a restart in advance. Instead of offering any help or solutions, the staff was extremely rude and repeatedly told me to call another plumbing service. As a result, I now have to pay another company to fix the issue. We have children at home and currently have no heat in freezing temperatures. This experience has been unacceptable. I will not be using this company again and will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. Please be aware and avoid this company. read more

I ended up filing a complain with BBB about my experience with Romeo's and the next day received a phone call from their office. They called to apologize for the misunderstanding on the oil delivery and refunded the money I was overcharged. We discussed the situation with my fuel tank and said the driver should have spoken with me because maybe my oil tank needed to be pumped slower (it's an older tank). I appreciated the office manager calling to rectify the situation, it's too bad I had to wage such a formal complaint to get us there. I may consider using Romeo's again for fuel deliveries because they do have low prices but I'll be wary. read more

Last Saturday, I Ordered 200 gallons of fuel using the App. The App never sent me any email or text confirmation of my order. On Tuesday, for a delivery status, I called Customer Service and after 15 minutes wait I spoke to a lady. I explained to her communication issues with the App. She informed me that IT is aware of the issues and they are working on it. She informed me the delivery will be on Thursday despite the App displayed before ordering would be on Wednesday. I explained to customer service that the tank is close to empty and I need the oil on Wednesday, but she said that she can't promise me the delivery schedule can be changed. She also informed me that the status is in the App's History which is not true. The App is poorly designed. It doesn't show any detailed information about the placed order. I called Customer Service again today, Thursday, and on hold for over 10 minutes and then I was disconnected. Romeo fuel's customer service is not customer friendly and the App is the same (inferior). Very very disappointed as this will be my last Oder with Romeo fuel as to no flexibility and customers are not treated with dignity and respect. read more

I was charged a cancellation fee of $50. This was never disclosed to me when I ordered the oil. I only cancelled because Romeo was too busy and needed to put my delivery off to the next day. $100 Romeo credit scam- Watch out Filled out referral on my account, and confirmed the credit online. Referral received their delivery.. Unfortunately, I left out a dot in the email I gave them. They never reported anything wrong with the email address, but they diligently used that information to find the delivery location. Checked on my $100 credit, and they said that they had no record of the referral because of the missing dot in the email address. So, you get no $100 credit, and the referral gets no $100 credit. Went up the line to top management, and they said even though the referred email address looks the same, a dot is missing, and we can't do anything about it. They never contacted me about the error in email address, but they certainly managed to find the delivery address of the referral to make the delivery.. The referral was not informed of the $100 lost credit. God help you if there is ever an error in their accounting system. Apparently they won't be able to do anything about it. read more

This is a complaint about Romeo's not honoring the $100. credit for both a new customer and a referring customer. After the second delivery, I was told I would not get the $100. new customer credit and my friend would not get the $100. referral credit. I have an email stating my friend and I would each get the $100. off. I registered on their web site to find the price of oil and did not see a place to indicate who referred me. I immediately called and was told I should have waited for the referral first, but that they would honor the $100. off. After the second delivery, I asked for my referral fee to be credited to my account. Nasty Erica refused, even though I had the email saying my friend and I would each get the $100. It is incredible how Nasty Erica could be so rigid with a new customer. If she was not going to honor the promo, I should have been told before I received two oil deliveries. They charged my retired mom, living off social security for 100 gallons of fuel, then delivered it to the wrong house and when we called to get it corrected, I was told to have my elderly mom go to the house they mistakenly delivered the fuel to and get her money from them. I ordered a "fill tank" oil fill online on Saturday because I hade about a quarter of a tank fill and wanted to get prepared for the season. I expected a delivery on Monday. They arrived today, Monday October 28th. Their rates were competitive however they only put 15 gallons of oil in my tank.. I went to check my tank to see if I was mistaken in the quantity I had originally had. NOPE. They left the tank more than half empty. This company is horrible! When I called to find out what happened, I was met with an answering service that said they would pass my message along. Not a good company, customer service, and NOT competent! A number of years ago due to their competitive pricing I gave them a call a few times, but suspected their trucks pump meters were not properly calibrated OR their driver was pumping in less so as to be able to kick the price up a notch to the next pricing bracket for less gals., but that aside. Just scheduled a delivery from Romeos via CODfuel website. I was wary because their pricing was so much lower than the others on that website. But I figured I'd try them anyway. On a Saturday, I scheduled for Monday delivery. They were here delivering at around 8 am. Very impressed and I intend to use them again. I've been a contrac customer for over 30 years with a couple of other suppliers. But this year the prices were so high back in august at renewal time I decided to take a chance. If you want customer service , No. If you want a return phone call after several messages, No. If you want a return email, No. They spilled fuel oil at the fuel cap, leaving the unmistakable smell. I even had a tip added to the bill for the driver! Obviously that was a mistake! My order was supposed to have a discount. My tank only had 16 inches of fuel, they delivered fill the tank up to 32 inches which brings the tank level up to 217 gallons out of my 275 gallon tank. In other words, they only delivered 100 gallons out of my 150 gallon order and because of that they did not give me my $25 discount. You're better off somewhere else where you can speak to someone, and get service. Their recordings are still using the excuse of Covid and unprecedented times from years ago as an excuse not to deal with the customers. Oh, and if you don't believe me, just read the other reviews. Now that I've had multiple deliveries from them, there is a definite pattern. I first discovered Romeo via COD. When COD changed their format, their lowest price vendor didn't compare to Romeo. I spoke with a couple of the delivery drivers, and found them really enthusiastic about the firm. After few years now, there's a pattern of a well run, well priced, operation, with a good work force. Scheduled an oil delivery for 3 days from when I called. MY wife called them the morning on the delivery date and they said they would be their by noon. At 1 she called them back and they informed her that we were not on their schedule, and would not be getting any delivery. The secretary then said that I had called but never scheduled a delivery. They then told me wife that they could only come in 2 days. She asked to speak to a manager, and they never called back. When I called to schedule the delivery, when the call was ending , the scheduler said that the delivery was set, and said the wrong day. I immediately corrected her and she said yes sorry. Them saying that I never scheduled an appointment is a flat out lie, and now we are trying to find someone to deliver on short notice. It is supposed to be 17 degrees tonight. So yeah. I had never heard of Romeo's fuel until my sister sent me an email stating that if I ordered from them, she would get $50 off her next delivery and so would I. I ordered the fuel and told them I was referred to them via my sister. I was then told that since my sister did not go through their web page referral system neither of us would get the $50 discount. I wrote the company about what had happened and was told by Anthony that nobody would get any discounts. As for their web page ad which clearly states, refer a friend get $50 off your next delivery is bogus. It doesn't state you have to use their system to refer a friend. I felt deceived and so did my sister. The company still refused to 'do the right thing' and felt this is not a way treat new customers.
