My daughter had her 2nd birthday party here and it was the best day. We were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff is. We have never taken her to Romp N' Roll before so we didn't know what to expect, but we were extremely happy with how the party went. The staff was attentive, participated with all of the kids, and all had positive attitudes. The activities I chose were so much fun. The bounce house was a huge hit as well! The staff helped us throughout the evening with every last detail from unloading our cars, setting up the party room, serving pizza to everyone and cleaning up at the end of the night. Now that my daughter is older she's been able to able to attend a few more classes. She absolutely loves the art class! They spend time doing age appropriate crafts and keep the kids focused with activities between crafts that are focused on moving around! You get to keep your child's project too which was a huge bonus for me. My daughter is learning so much from all the classes they offer and I am so excited for her to keep exploring all the classes offered. I will update again as she grows and experiences more classes. 10/10 recommend for anyone with a child ages 0-5. read more

We brought our son here to try a class and it was cute. He had previously tried a MyGym class on the west coast, and this was somewhat similar, though a bit more rushed. The space was padded and safe for my baby to crawl around, and the teacher had cute activities with instruments and songs. The class seemed a bit too large, but perhaps that's because it was a Saturday, and maybe the week day classes are a little more manageable. I had my daughters 1st birthday party at the weathersfield location on 12/11/21 and I was very disappointed with the lack of pre planning as well as the event day coordination from this facility. Pre-party communication: I received an email a week or so before my party asking about the number of children to theme etc. upon filling out the form the submit button was prompting me to fill out a mandatory field that was recently removed from the page so it wouldn't let me submit. I called romp n roll and the manager asked me to screenshot my responses and email her which I did. The day before the party I received a call asking the same questions and the individual who called me then said they had not been informed about the submission via email so here I went explaining everything again. Day of the party: I brought my own decorations and was told I'd have help setting up the room and I could just enjoy the party when I got there - none of that happened. the party room only had half of the chairs set up that were needed even though I confirmed and reconfirmed with the venue on two occasions. I had one person set up 3 of the 5 table clothes needed. I ended up having to ask a guest to actually help me since I was alone setting up everything from paper goods to drinks etc. when it came to the restaurant next door that romp and roll recommends, it is paper thin pizza and it was cold. I decided to talk to the manager of romp n roll once all of my guests had left and her first reaction was to say "well that's not what my staff told me" and defend them for providing little to no assistance. The staff told the manager lies that I had refused their help and that they checked in on us many times during the time we were eating and were told we didn't need anything. none of this is true. I'm was very disappointed by the miscommunications and lack of communication pre and during the party and taken back by the defensive nature of the manager of this location. I hope that anyone reading this considers the honest feedback from the party we booked and hosted yesterday. read more

The first time we came to Romp n' Roll was for a birthday party. The staff was nice, the place was clean and there was a lot of room for the kids to run, jump and play. My daughter was only 6 months at the time so she couldn't really participate but the older toddlers seemed to be having a ball. I brought my daughter back when she turned one for an open gym session. My little one had a great time sliding, tumbling and exploring. The owner was there and she was very sweet, engaging and courteous. A coworker of mine brings his kids here and has told me great things about the monthly Kids' Night Out events where you can drop your kids off from 5:30-8:30 on a designated Friday night for activities and fun. Sounds like a great date night plan for hubby and I. We will definitely be back for a class in the near future! read more

I have recently starting taking my son here. We are not members (membership is pretty expensive unless you plan to attend a ton) but we do occasional drop-in and drop-off events. My son is 4, and he's really enjoyed the things he has been to here. Open Gym is a nice way to burn off energy on a snowy day. I sent him for parents-morning-out once, and for kids-night-out once. He had a great time for both drop-off events and wanted to stay longer. These programs were basically just babysitting, but the care was certainly adequate and worth the money. My son is on the babyish side for 4. If you have an athletic boy, maybe the type who keeps up with older siblings, he might be bored by the equipment, as it is fairly small. But my son loves it all and happily climbs on the monkey bars and balance equipment for as long as I'll let him. read more

I was so excited to bring my 17 month old here today. I've been trying to find somewhere for her to enjoy playing during the winter. We went to a music class and were there about ten minutes. She was clingy and wasn't immediately interested, but eventually warmed up and started to play. As soon as she got comfortable, another child ran full-force into her, colliding heads with a horrible sound. My baby was hit so hard she has a large blue egg on her head, the start of a black eye, and got a bloody nose on the ride home. I've never had a child this small get hurt like that and I'm beside myself that I thought this class was a good idea. I think this place is better suited for kids who are old enough to follow directions and play with instruction. Although what happened to us today was a horrible accident, it could happen to anyone. read more

I have been going to Romp and Roll as a member since 2018 when my son was 2. I have a 1 year old daughter who now loves it. But today set me over the edge in the most unsafe and unprofessional ways imaginable. First of all, I will say we have a membership that I normally boast about. Typically if you go during the weekdays it's a wonderful experience all round. Great classes, teachers, etc. I've been on the weekends before but today was unreal to me. My daughter JUST got over the flu last week and we wanted to get out (she hasn't been on tamiflu in three days) and we wanted some exercise. I signed her up for open gym. We got there today and i saw a lot of cars in the parking lot assuming it was for the Buffalo Wild Wings for sports fans. I walked into one of the most crowded spaces ever. I could NOT believe how many kids and parents were at Romp and Roll. I asked the lady when we checked in why and she said that the 20 amount of kids enrolled were there. UM NO THERE WERE NOT. At one point I counted 31 kids in the room and 55 people in total. I was looking everywhere for the fire marshall room capacity number and didn't see it posted anywhere. I asked the girls about this and they looked at me like I had two heads. They called the owner a few times and she said there's nothing she can do. I'm like what do you mean? It's 31 kids in this space. We drive an half hour each way to come here and normally it's worth our while. My daughter just stood there because she couldn't even get on any equipment. One family had a kid there and FOUR adults with one child. Every time my daughter attempted to move somewhere she either ran into someone or got trampled and knocked down. She couldn't go on it. I was so livid that we paid like $300 for this membership and they couldn't even keep it at capacity. I called the fire marshall and pd because it is not ok. Number one, safety wise (i also have a video or two of the number of people there) is not ok. If there is an emergency to have 55 people get out of that room is insane and people are coming and going the whole 2 hours. #2, why if there is a limit of 20 kids are there 31 at one point and the girl asked me what does she want me to do? I'm like seriously?? FOLLOW THE CAPACITY OPEN GYM RULES! Why are there four adults for one kid and 31 kids?? Why are there 55 people in this room. It's so unhealthy is my #3. We just got over the flu and are healthy but a) flu b) covid c) RSV and every other illness is rampant right now. WHY WOULD ANY PARENT FEEL COMFORTABLE in this situation??? I was downright livid and all they offered was my money back??? Seriously??? Their website says 20 out of 20 capacity for the open gym, then why was there 31 and why wasn't there a rule to be followed for this. The staff and the facility need better training. Also, if I were going tomorrow, I would want to know how it's cleaned because good lord I can't imgaine well. What is the fire safety capacity of the room, where is it posted and was it followed? I'm so disappointed because when they boast "Open Playtime is the best indoor playground for your child from 3 months through 5 years to learn, play, and make friends. Join us for this parent-supervised indoor playtime and let your child explore our bright, colorful, clean, and age-appropriate equipment" but your kid can't access the equipment, there is a four parent supervised child with 31 other kids and a ridiculous amount of adults in there, and my child can't enjoy the day, then forget it. We wasted two hours of our day and I am so mad I can't get that time back, I was treated with disrespect and they just said they could refund me. That's NOT the point. It's about what's right and what we signed up for and what's safe, clean and healthy for our kids. We as parents choose this facility for enjoyment, not for anxiety and stress wondering if my kids is getting RSV from the germs and the fact that my daughter who normally loves it just stood there because she couldn't access any equipment. If I could attach the video of how many people were there I would. My daughter couldn't socialize, I wasted a day and gas for an hour round trip drive that was so frurstrating beyond belief. I look forward to hearing about how they plan on fixing this as this experience is NOT typical one for this place so I am hoping that other parents also do not experience this. This place is amazing!!! I had my son's 4th birthday party there and I was so happy with how it turned out. All the kids had a blast and were entertained from start to finish. Even the parents had fun. There was a bounce house, gym time, and a bunch of activity's and games that the kids played. The entire place is very clean. We did the Pizza package that included pizza from the restaurant next store and the pizza was really good. The ladies that work there are wonderful and so great with the kids. It was such a stress free kids birthday party. I can't say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend doing a birthday party here. read more

The staff here has become our extended family. Our son comes every day, and while he's not yet in Preschool, this is the next best thing (or better). Need a place to take your little one on a rainy day? Romp n' Roll is the place. My friend and I took our little ones both under the age of 18 months to Romp n' Roll one Monday afternoon. The kids had a blast and we didn't take any germs home with us. The facility is sparkly clean. The mats didn't smell of plastic and the toys that were out were all clean. The place was empty at 2PM. There were two other children playing. I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends and during class times. During free play a staff member will engage the children in an structured activity. I thought that was such a good idea because some children don't have the attention span to commit to a full class. My son was too young to understand but he was content holding his ribbon stick by the wrong end. Overall I'm glad we discovered this kid's gym. For parents who can't afford to have a home gym for their children this is a great alternative because the space is clean and it offers a venue for socialization. read more

I can only speak for the gym classes, because we've never done the art or music. Their gym equipment is clean and the staff was really friendly. They actually make you use hand sanitizer before and after play, which I was impressed with. However, it's a tiny gym with not that much equipment and I can't see kids much older than 2 being entertained. Something about the entire experience came across as really commercialized... Ex. They re-do classic nursery rhymes with different words just to include "Romp N' Roll" etc. read more

We attended my 2 years old granddaughter BD at the Romp'Roll Wethersfield, CT. The girl in charge of cleaning and decorating the room was having some issues with her coworkers therefore she was transmitting really bad energy. My daughter was paying $365.00 x 2 hours (1.5 hr for playing and .50 hour in the party room) this did NOT include food, decorations but should have included lot of smiles, dinamic staff, professionalism, organization, and a clean neat room. The two girls left tried hard but the magic was gone and it was not enough to handle everything. The owner called and apologized and gave my daughter a $50.00 gift card to the same place instead of a decent cash refund. Seen my daughter crying during her little one special day was heartbreaking, she worked hard to save this money to pay for this place. It hurts when you see she did not get what she paid for. I would not recommend you do business with this unprofessional and unpredictable place. read more

Tried the free trial class today. Went to 'Crayons to Canvas' with my friends almost 5 year old. The place looked brand new inside & super clean. The room was FREEZING. The kids were shivering & complaining the whole time. Someone brought in a space heater at the end of class, so I'm assuming its an ongoing issue. Class was cute. They started off with circle time activities- singing, introductions etc. Then they started the actual arts n crafts activities. First the teacher handed out some clay & instructed the kids to build a boat out of it. She gave some directions for how to turn it into a sailboat at home- add a popsicle stick, etc. After they did, she collected the clay & put it back in the bin. I thought for the amount of money some people pay for these classes you'd at least get to bring it home but I guess this was just the warm up activity. The main activity was finger painting an ocean scene on a piece of white paper. Again, for the price, I thought it'd be on ya know, an actual small canvas or at least some good quality paper. All in all, the instructor was great & the kids had fun. The space was bright & inviting. But I'm basing this review off of the fact I paid $0 for this class. I don't think I'd be quite as satisfied if I was paying the membership fee of $90/month. read more

We took the introductory class for art. I liked how new and different tools were used so the kids can see what each painting tool does, how it looks and feels. I liked how the instructor was engaging and helped the kids hold the paintbrush and let them explore however they were most comfortable. I will be takin him back soon for other activities. read more

Unlike other similar places (that should remain nameless) Romp-n-Roll allows a child to take an unlimited amount of classes every day, as well as attend the open gym sessions daily. Sometimes we are there for hours and each class is different and is fun. My son has taken every class they offer, and enjoyed them all. For me it's all about staff in these places. I was not impressed by their staff because it seemed like a business machine. We work and live between here and Stratford and when they opened I had hoped it would be a fresh place, but it's very small and the equipment is really babyish (just like the colors of the place) and I've seen it done better. My older ones didn't want to be there because they felt it was only for babies. The hand sanitizer thing is a joke too. It's been proven that it doesn't prevent illness. Is this so they don't have to clean? Not for us. read more
