Our rear AC unit was not working during the peak of the 115 degree day and we called Ron Brock as they installed the unit 4 years ago. Our technician came the next day and was very friendly and spent 20 minutes trouble shooting the problem and determined that we were leaking Freon, he later determined that the leak was the Schrader valves. He replaced the valves and recharged the system with Freon and the system started blowing cold air. The system was under warranty (parts only) and they charged $550 for labor and Freon. Fast forward 14 days later and our bedrooms are at 90 degrees , so we call Ron Brock back. The next day a very pleasant technician came out to trouble shoot it and said we were out of Freon again and had a leak in the cooling coil. Two days later someone from Ron Brock called and said they would replace the coil and recharge the system for a little over $1750. I reminded them the parts were under warranty and they had just charged $550 for not fixing the problem. I was told they would give a 12% discount and charge $1540, after we paid $550 and did not get the problem fixed. I asked for a manager, who didn't care that they charged us and didn't fix the problem, but who said to help out on the new charge, would throw in the Freon. They still wanted an additional $1200 to fix it on top of the $550 we spent without getting our air conditioner fixed. Really!!!. Bottom line great friendly technicians, but over priced and crappy customer service. We used another AC company, got the problem fixed and were charged less. read more

Its nice to work with professionals in any industry but to find quality, honest people in the construction business is a real pleasure. I had four units installed two years ago by them. Had a noise coming from one of the still functioning units. Came right out. Made the repairs and serviced all the units. No charge. They could have easily said it was normal and let the unit fail and get some additional warranty work in a few months. Not this company. They are good people that do quality work. read more

I recently purchased a new home. Ron Brocks are the new construction installation company. 2 days into my home my condenser goes out. I tried calling them and my superintendent since 1400 that day. At 2157 my home had completely no air. New Build warranty stated that Ron Brocks couldn't come out because they were fully booked. Yes I understand they were fully booked at 2157 at night! That was an excuse from the Ron Brocks on call, not to run and installation warranty call. I never received a follow up call the following morning. Ron Brocks dispatched called myself a week later at 1303 and stated a tech was outside my home. What do you mean? No one scheduled this with me, no one called. Dispatched then stated and was very unprofessional with their statement that "I had until 1400 to arrive or Ron Brocks tech will be leaving and they are not held responsible for any damages" are you kidding me! I was at work. During these times of Covid having a job to go to is a blessing in one. An employee cannot just up and leave because Ron Brocks dispatch failed to schedule accordingly. Their dispatch then continued to be very argumentative that she did schedule and spoke with someone. I checked my call logs and even checked my husband's call logs. No calls from Ron Brock's. Upon installation my secondary drain pan is already filling up with water and condensation lines are not installed properly cause the pan to fill up and condensation lines to be backed up. We are past the summer heat but my pan should not be filled up with water and can also cause attic to Ceiling damage in my new home. 32 days later Ron Brocks still has not been out. A different company came and repaired my new condenser that Ron Brocks Installed and because of the unprofessionalism from their dispatch, I do not want to even deal with them. Ron Brock's has made my home buying of a new built the worst experience ever. Tough times during this pandemic and threats of not being liable and the unprofessionalism from dispatch is just not worth going through. There are so many HVAC companies in the valley that are kind, professional and willing to fix their Installations issues. Names of dispatch do not need to be mentioned. They are working employees as well as myself, no need to continue the unprofessionalism and ugliness during these harsh times. I do not recommend Ron Brocks for new construction or HVAC. read more

We bought this house as a new build in 2007. I noticed during the summer of 2013 that the heat pump did not do as good of a job keeping the place cool as it did when we first moved in. Shortly before the summer of 2014 I called Ron Brock's to come out, inspect the unit, and give it a tune up if necessary. Three other neighbors had replaced their heat pumps in the past year so given the performance of my unit I was expecting the worst. The Ron Brock's technician discovered that my heat pump was low on refrigerant, and hunted down the leak. Unfortunately, the leak was in the evaporator coil in the attic. The coil would have to be replaced. I decided instead to pursue the replacement of the entire unit. As requested, the Ron Brock's rep gave me quotes on four different units, each with a different SEER rating. I thought the prices were - quite frankly - very reasonable. I choose the 4-ton 14 SEER unit with a 10-year warranty. The Ron Brock's personnel showed up on time at 7am and were finished by about 2pm. They were polite and they cleaned up after themselves. (I HATE it when contractors leave a mess behind.) While I did read the two other reviews that were negative, they do not reflect my experience at all. All the staff is professional and polite. The price was very reasonable. The installation went very smoothly, and the new unit is keeping us nice and cool. I could not be happier read more

Our a/c quit last night but I called Ron Brocks @ 7:45 and spoke to a very pleasant person who told me someone would call me within the hour, and to call back if I didn't hear. Xavier called within a few minutes and gave me an approx arrival time, and said he would let me know when he was on his way. He did, and arrived at the time he had estimated, diagnosed and fixed the problem within 15-20 mins. I highly recommend this company! read more

Tried to change out my own thermostat and of course it didn't work and not only did it not work when I put the old one back on it didn't work either. Called Ron Brocks and the girls on the phone were courteous and helpful. Edward the technician came to the house within an hour. It only took Edward about 20 minutes to figure out the problem, put on the new thermostat and was done. Edward is my new hero. He helped with replacing the filters and cleaned the grates for her. He found batteries in his truck when she had none to replace in the controllers and also wore booties to protect her carpeting. Technician by the name of Josh came out yesterday to do a routine annual maintenance/service. He was a very personable, sharp young man. He arrived within a few minutes of the scheduled appointment time, which is much better than other service companies I have dealt with before. All said and done, he completed the service in just about an hour and I am very happy with the price, the company's representation and the service provided. Ron Brock A/C installed my air conditioners in 2017. I called for a service issue, one week out of warranty, and they did not flinch and said they would gladly include this service call under the warranty. The service tech arrived as scheduled, diagnosed the problem, called the manufacturer to confirm the weather, and since it was lightly raining and humid, they are coming back tomorrow to add refrigerant instead of today to avoid introducing any moisture into the system that would show up as issues down the road. How much more professional and customer-oriented can a company get than this? !!!!! read more

Horrible company to deal with. They scam you on fees and their technicians are not very knowledgable. Would not recommend to anyone. Gave one star only because yelp makes me. I find it funny that they comment saying that it is not typical service yet EVERYONE I have talked to about our experience with them has advised me that they have heard nothing but bad things about this company. We should have asked around before we called them, our mistake. Yes we received a PARTIAL refund after many many days, emails, calls and complaints to finally get them to cooperate and they still did not provide us with an itemized receipt like we asked for showing the parts prices. We still feel we were never reimbursed for the full amount that we should have been under our home warranty. A neighbor I have spoken to that used them as well had nothing good to say either. I think I need to also add now that their technician that came to our house had to call someone to ask what he should be doing and then broke our AC completely (it was working but making a loud noise) which was in the middle of the summer and he told us he would have to come back the next day to fix it (he couldn't get the part that night, maybe because he showed up much later than our appointment block) and left us with no AC. Our home got up to 98 degrees that evening and we had to move us and our dogs out of the home until it was fixed the next afternoon. I would not be so direct with my review if the company would have tried to make this right but from the late and seemingly inexperienced technician, leaving us with no AC and having to move out for the night and then the hassle with getting reimbursed under our warranty, it has rubbed me the wrong way. Had my preventative maintenance on my furnace completed. My appt was scheduled for between 9a and 11a. I received a call shortly before 11a to let me know the technician was running late due to a previous job and that he would be at my house within an hour. He showed up as promised and everything went smoothly. I have a 1 year PMA with them so I will use them in the spring for the preventative maintenance on my AC. read more

Manny our service tech was great! The person that was supposed to be at the house to meet him had to leave becuase of a work emergency. So I had to head to the property when Manny called. I told him I was over 20 minutes away, "No worries, when I get there I will wait for you out front" was his response. As I was driving there, in morning rush hour, I knew he was already there so I was getting stressed out. Then, I came upon a mile back up, due to a non functioning signal light and my anxiety went through the roof! I immediately called Manny and told him what was up and that I was on my way he said, "It's OK, really! One thing I was born with was patience. Just be careful, I know you will get here as soon as you can". What started out to be an anxious stressful beginning to my day really wasn't, all thanks to Manny's kindness. Horrible company!!!! Run as far from this hole in a wall - literally google there address - do a street view and run. I got stuck with them after the builder of my home, Mattamy used them to do HVAC in parts of the development. My neighbors unit went out less than 6 months after they moved in too. That should have been a red flag! I wasn't lucky enough to be one of the homes where United (a nationally reputable and far more reliable company) did the work. In stead, we got stuck with these smucks, Alexander Romero and Laura Romero (so called family owners or the operation I guess, at least what I can gather that is listed with the Arizona Corporate Commission). Air went out last night we called the emergency line and was told a contractor would call us back within an hour, if not call back. They tell you to call back hoping you need to sleep through the night because literally that's what was told time and time again until they finally opened. It's hard to sleep in the Phoenix area in July without air. After more then 6 calls total from me and my fiance we were scheduled for noon - 2 pm the next day after our initial call for service in a home we built - literally two years ago. They warranty their work for 1 year and 5 years on parts - horrible again. The home builder could have done better too. People that have purchased homes through other homebuilders have complained as well, such as Tollbrothers. You pay 300K to build a house from the ground up, you shouldn't have to rebuild a new AC unit minus the parts in less than 5 years! Just saying. The final slap in the face is they charge you $90 just to come out - almost double the industry amount in some cases (you can use someone else but your parts wont be covered and they know this - so this is where they begin to rip you off). Mattamy is not off the hook either; however, their service was far bettter when I called their emergency line. A local representative called back in less than 5 minutes and expressed sincere concern abut the level of service from Ron Brocks while advising if they did not show up to call his cell directly so he could figure something out. However, if you are buying a Mattamy home - and they are about 15 new developments coming or in progress in the Phoenix area right now - or any other builder for that fact, make sure that you do not have to deal with Ron Brocks for the next 5 years under any curcumstance. Run from the builder if they insist on using this contractor because they are not look out for your best interest either. New builds are great, beautiful and generally up to date with the latest trends - but they can feel really crappy on day two in the middle of the desert in July a couple year later with no AC, slimming money tactics, and false claims of delivering 24 hour emergency service repairs. read more

Technician said I need some major work on my ac unit, duct cleaning. Got a second opinion, the second companies technician look at me after saying all was fine, and I said but another company recomended this and that. So let say I lost faith in Ron Brocks. read more

Not sure about some of these bad reviews because my experience yesterday could not have been better. This company came highly recommended when I was looking at getting AC unit fixed. After a service tech came out to inspect my system, they gave me a few options of what I could do. Make repairs, or upgrade my whole system. My system was 16 years old and I was having issues with leaks and all sorts of stuff. I took their suggestions and did a lot of my own research to see what would be more beneficial to do and finally I decided to purchase a whole new system. Well the techs came out to my house and showed up right on time and got straight to work. Nobody stood around thinking about the work, they just did the work. After they were done they cleaned up so well that now my garage actually looks cleaner than it did before they started. Its obvious these guys take pride in their work and I am willing to pay for that anytime. Thank you for everything. read more

Excellent experience with this company. I had a leak in the drain pan, and called for a service call. Received a return call almost immediately and was able to schedule a service call for the next morning. Technician was top notch. Knowledgeable, professional, courteous, competent. He diagnosed problem, presented solutions, told me wha to do until repair part was available. 2 days later I received a phone call saying part was in, and scheduled the service call for next day. Technician arrived promptly at scheduled time, performed the repair, and asked if I had any questions. Overall excellent service. I would rate them 5 stars. read more

Warning, do not call this company. They are terrible and only are interested in a upcharge and are also more expensive. I had a fan motor replaced on 7/1/13. Had them out twice due to the new fan motor rattling. The first time they said it was ok that they some of them sound like that and blamed it on a loose compressor. I left it alone due to a one year warranty on the part. The noise progressively got worse like I knew it would. Had them come out again. They said the fan was ok and it was the compressor and all the freon leaked out. The solution was they said we needed a new unit and would have a salesman call. I called another company for a second opinion. They came out said it is the fan and due to all the rattling and ron brocks installing the wrong part that one of our lines cracked and all the freon was gone. He also checked the whole unit and said everything else was ok and recommended just repairing. He was very upset that I didnt have ron brocks replace the fan but I didnt want them touching the unit again. The new place charged me about half for the than ron brocks did but the whole repair cost me 975.00 due to the loss of freon. If ron brocks would of just replaced the fan the first time I had them come back none of this would of happened. I contacted them and said my resolution is to have them give me my 975 back due to their poor service. I haven't heard back from them since. CALL SOMEONE ELSE!
