One gripe I have is that I wish the workers were a bit more attentive. We went on Monday and there wasn't anyone at the front desk for maybe 10minutes. They didn't have us watch the safety/instructional video which normally plays on a loop at the front of the pit gate. We had two double karts because our kids are young and we were put in a race with multiple other adults. The employees in the pit were good, one was a young lady who seemed new and a young man who obviously had much more experience. I'm on the shorter side and he recognized I needed the pedals adjusted and a booster seat. He also rechecked all our belts because the girl didn't put them on tight enough. So during our race we had to go slowly for the first lap, but then it was on! Unfortunately, I had to go slow because my daughter is small and apprehensive about the whole experience. I'm sure we were a hindrance for the faster racers, but most were very respectful and drove around us. One person in particular (an older black man who uses the name "007 Speed") hit me into the barrier 3 times and hit my husband and son's kart at least twice. He hit us with such force both of my kids have been complaining of neck pain. I told the experienced male employee but no consequences for Mr. 007 Speed even though each time he hit us they overhead announced, "No hitting other drivers or barriers. Next time you will be out of the race." When the race was done Mr. 007 Speed never acknowledged what he did or apologized. As we were leaving we saw him complaining at the front desk. So overall, I really like this place. It's geared for children and families, but definitely for anyone who wants to have fun. It would be ideal if they grouped drivers separately like they do for junior racers. Group adult racers with ones who have children/want a chill experience and a group for retirees trying to relive their glory days

Stair climber are you? Hit the grandstands. Plenty of work there. If you're parking it can add an additional 5k in step unless you implement shuttle services. They have one of the most efficient systems I've seen. ADA services are epic as they get these folks to the track seamlessly. Seniors get their rides ride too :) Food and drink prices are high and it's pretty standard fare, but if you're camping, you've got all of that covered. The NHRA is shrinking. While they're trying to keep the sport growing, sponsorship for these cars has dropped off significantly over time. There were once over 20 TFD qualifying for the 16 slots on Sunday. I don't even think there were 16 to qualify. You'll want to attend a professional event sooner than later before the sport evaporates completely.

Fellow patron I met said he came from Novato to bet, because there wasn't a similar venue closer. The place here recently went through a renovation. But honestly, I didn't see any really radical differences from before. Parking to the wagering section of the fairgrounds is thankfully free (although this wasn't always so). Admission inside the facility to bet the ponies is $8. However, for the Derby this year, they were letting patrons inside for free, which was cool. Inside, they have traditional betting windows and electronic self-serve ticket machines. There's a new snack bar vendor that serves up pretty good-looking food. But, they don't want you bringing in your own (cook-dude checked me pretty good for bringing in an outside sandwich). Restrooms are still pretty spartan, bare-bones as before. There's a separate outside section for smokers. Seating availability throughout the venue is typically challenging. And in/out privileges are permitted. Most days during racing season, you could literally wager from early mornings into the evening. Bankroll permitting of course, lol. And for the second straight year, I face-planted betting the derby. As my horse came in 6th or 7th. Welp. Still, the wagering place isn't a bad place to spend the day if you like betting horses.

Shops in San Francisco quoted me over $5,000 and required a special order. When I called Mack 1, the sales team informed me that Husqvarna owns KTM and that the bike I was seeking, the KTM SXE2, was in stock and identical to the EE 2. Not only did they have it available, but it was also much cheaper than what was quoted in San Francisco. I drove to Vallejo, which took just 30 minutes, and quickly returned home with the bike. Although the dealership isn't fancy and requires a bit of a drive, the fair pricing and the friendly, down-to-earth staff made the experience exceptional. I will definitely return to this dealership for my future bike needs.

Up to recently I sold my CTX-1300 to them as I didn't need the bike to commute anymore and, yet again, super simple and no pressure situation. They offered a fair price. Perfectly explained my options on if I were to sell it private party what I could ask for and also finished by saying I had time to think about it as the offer was good for a few days (forgot exactly, maybe a week I'm not sure). I've had a couple bikes serviced from them as well and, same - easy and low pressure. There's been plenty other examples of extra gestures that sets them apart from just a motorcycle dealer/shop to a well operated welcoming place you know you're not getting screwed over which is what Mach 1 is - purely top notch Next bike I buy I will be stopping into Mach 1 before anywhere else, without question.

They needed to go through inspection and orientation. As the guys got suited up in there racing suits I started to get excited to watch them all. The riders all gather and they let 4 bikes go at a time until they are all out. There are 20 minute sessions every hour. 3 before lunch and 4 after lunch. As a spectator it is so much fun. It was a long day, 7am-5:30pm but the day seemed to fly by! I sat in the stands and watched at the checkered finishline. In the afternoon I went to the green bridge and watched my boyfriend zoom by into the first few turns, it was so cool to watch! I cant wait for the next track day!!! Well that was my review as a spectator. Here is my boyfriends review as a rider: "For any motorcycle rider, a track day is a unparalleled experience. Its really the only way to truly use your bikes full capabilities without jeopardizing life and license. Zoom Zooms staff creates a safe and exhilarating environment that allows you to fully enjoy yourself. They provide as much (or as little) help and insight as you feel you need as well as keeping you safe from reckless and inexperienced riders. They keep an eye out for hazardous riders and give them the boot if necessary. I would ride with these guys again. See you next season Zoom Zoom."

There are two main galleries with a quarter mile walk in between, with wonderful views looking out into the lake, families of geese captivating visitors, and lovely artwork along the paved path including a giant gong in the beginning representing the division of war and peace (there's also an option to take a shuttle if you prefer not to walk). Gallery 2 was remarkable starting with the indoor Incorrect Museum exhibition. I can only describe the pieces as weird, comical, unpredictable, and quite intriguing. Some interesting artworks include the Rhino car (covered with random items and made up of two front ends of different cars, plus a rhino head, and actually drivable), the Memory Garden (made up of 4,000 glass bottles, wood, and stone), and the Totem di Rosa, which you can step inside (I even found a bunny in there, lol). Outside, there is a sculpture garden and courtyard with numerous art pieces spaced out really well. Thus, prepare to walk as you explore the various sculptures, including a steel flying dragon, a pile of boats, cute sheep set up on a hill to look real, a quirky looking giant harp, and a very tall chair. There are also picnic tables for guests, in a shady area covered by trees, and picturesque gardens and pathways to stroll through before making your way back to Gallery 1, the gift shop, and parking lot. I had a wonderful time here this past weekend, it was so much more than I expected, and I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some interesting art or even if you're just into peaceful and scenic outdoor environments.

After My Own Art…read more Located on 217 acres of pristine Napa Valley land, the Di Rosa is a contemporary art museum that's been operating publicly since 1997. This museum is the personal collection of Rene & Veronica di Rosa. The Good: *Temporary exhibits rotate approximately every four months. *Complimentary umbrellas (more on that later) *A good portion of the exhibits are outdoors along their gorgeous property. *Shuttle if you don't want to or need assistance walking from building to building. *You really have to like weird shit because this place is full of it. Personally, I love it, but if you're more "serious" art person, then this probably won't be your jam. *Picnic tables on the grounds, as you're encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy in their outdoor area. *Friendly staff The Meh: *General admission of $25 might be a touch high for an art museum. The Ugly: *Be wary when visiting during inclement weather,as there's a large part of this museum that's outdoors. So you'll probably miss out on some of it, but the free umbrellas (mentioned above) did come in handy. Conclusion: Fun art museum with some really cool pieces and doesn't take itself too seriously.
