Dr Huxford decided I had a cavity on my upper rear molar which would require removing the cap then repair then replace it so I trusted him. A total failure to say the least. After trying to drill old cap off he began pulling at it. He took 2 attempts to replace cap. Neither fit, leaving a gap and knot sealed properly, SO 6 months later it becomes a huge abscess causing me to loose the tooth and in need of an implant. He said he could not fix this problem so I had to find another dentist. New dentist found other issues created by Huxford. He fails to do the quality work any patient believes and trusts they would receive. We have been going to dentists for over 50 years and this is the first one I would not recommend.

From the time I booked and left my appointment, nothing but great customer service…read more After finding out I had split my tooth in half and needed a bone graph extraction from my dentist, I needed to find an oral surgeon asap with all the pain I had to deal with when trying to chew. Unfortunately, my dentist could not find an oral surgeon who could see me right away. In addition, an oral surgeon who does local anesthesia. My personal choice, I did not want to be sedated esp since I believed this to be a simple extraction. The majority of oral surgeons do sedation, and I was lucky to find this oral surgeon to saw me right away and was able to use local anesthesia. The whole procedure prob took at least 30 minutes. It was quick and easy. They have an updated X-ray machine where you don't have to keep biting down and instead, the one they have is very quick and easy. During the extraction, they had me on a blood pressure monitor to ensure I was ok. I am on day 1 after the procedure and believe it or not, I am not in pain at all. Overall experience, couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the individual answering my phone calls, to the front desk to the dental assistant and surgeon.

Met with Dr Hunter for initial exam and again for extraction... very professional and personable guy, friendly and listened to my concerns. I don't know HOW to put into words how this doctor was worth every single cent but I'm going to try. So I called around the valley to ask for surgeons. Most of them brushed me off with very little detail especially because considering that this is surgery, it could be very expensive. Most places ignored me and said "you'll have to come in to find out how much your procedure will be with your insurance". That's crazy. Who has the time to go from office to office to get an estimate AND pay for a consult?? Anyway I stumbled onto a doctor AND a dental surgeon, UCLA grad, in Summerlin-- Dr. Letelier. Granted, a bit far away from my house but so worth it. Immediately upon calling, I spoke to MEMO. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, gave me an estimate right away and scheduled my partner for an IMMEDIATE appt. Surgery day: could not have gone better. EVERY SINGLE PERSON working there was so so so nice!!! The doctor was incredible and put my partner at ease. My partner texted me and said "Thank you for finding him for me! I'm not so scared about this procedure anymore" right before they sedated him. The practice was beautiful, professional, and clean. My partner has been raving about this practice since picking him up. Bonus? The out of pocket price (after my insurance) came down so much lower than estimated/quoted. Unfortunately, the first staff member I spoke with was extremely rude and unwilling to help. When I explained my situation and asked about rescheduling, she abruptly told me the provider was booked until July and seemed bothered by my request. After I expressed my frustration with her lack of customer service, she hung up on me. I called back and spoke with someone else who was much more polite and professional, but unfortunately they were unable to offer any solutions. While I understand scheduling limitations, there is no excuse for being disrespectful to patients who are simply trying to coordinate necessary follow-up care. The interaction left me disappointed and frustrated with the office's customer service. Please book somewhere else where your time and money are valued.
