The Receptionist Tonya is very pleasant too and she was very helpful regarding questions I had about my insurance and nothing was too much trouble for her to find out for me!

Dr. Ignatowicz and his team came to the rescue once again! I moved to Oregon several years ago, but…read morehave not found a decent dentist up there. About 8 months ago I decided to try out a dentist in Oregon for the 3rd or 4th time because a friend recommended a "high-end" dentist, and I finally had dental insurance. I was genuinely hopeful because as much as I love Dr. I and his team, I would love to have a dentist that I don't have to take a flight to get to, lol. Anyway, I have finally accepted that I will always come to Vegas/Henderson to see Dr. I & team for all my dental needs. After getting one crown and two HUGE fillings (that looked horrible because they also should have been crowns) on my bottom right, back three molars, at the Oregon dentist, I noticed a small, dark spot on the inside of one of the molars he had done a filling on. I asked him if it was a cavity, and he essentially said "no, it's not decay" it's just discoloration. Within a few months, the fillings he did on the molars began to wear down significantly leaving a sharp, jagged edge on the inside of the two molars. Fortunately, I was back in southern Nevada for a few months so decided to make an appointment with Dr. I. After an exam and new x-rays, Dr. I confirmed what I thought, that the small dark spot was in-fact a cavity, and that the two molars did need crowns. I was frustrated that the Oregon dentist had done such a terrible job, even though Dr. I was so professional and wouldn't say anything negative about the other dentist, I could tell he was as shocked as I was about the dental work that had been done, which was very validating. Dr. I's team was able to schedule me in very quickly for both the crown prep and crown placement. ALL of his staff are wonderful as well! Maria, one of his amazing office staff, gave me information about a dental discount program that saved me even more money on top of Dr. I's incredibly reasonable prices. I genuinely don't know how Dr. I is able to offer such reasonable prices with such a high level of expertise and patient care without having to schedule years in advance. I'm sorry this review is so long, but I can't recommend him and his team enough, especially if you suffer from dental anxiety and/or need extensive dental work as I did when I started coming to him almost 10 years ago. I've had weak, decay-prone teeth since I was a little girl so having a dentist who has been able to help me overcome all of that past dental-related trauma has been such a blessing. I feel so grateful to have found such an amazing dentist and dental team. Thank you Dr. Ignatowicz & team!!

Lack of Quality of Care and Lack of Communication! First of…read moreall the X-rays were excessive to say the least. The day of my cleaning I briefly met with Dr. Chen Very disappointed. He didn't talk to me . He was not friendly , and didn't explain anything to me . He didn't give me any options at all about what I needed. I had to ask about fillings for my front teeth. They said I needed 4 fillings .OK So I scheduled them. The day of the filling process was horrible service from Dr. Chen. Absolutely no communication with me when he walked in the room to get started. He didn't go over the plan or inform me what type of filling they were using on me. He didn't give me options or tell me any info about his plans for my mouth. He didn't check in with me at all during the procedure , or explain as he was going . He didn't ask how I was doing or if I was feeling ok at any time ! At one point I had to STOP him to ask what he was doing or how it was going because I wasn't doing ok. I was feeling anxious and not secure. Then I had to YELL stop because I could FEEL the drilling he was doing. I was very upset when I left , and the fillings were super gritty, and they left a terrible acetone smell and taste in my mouth. It was a terrible experience I left very upset. My mouth stayed numb for 3-4 hours after that as well. And my top gums were sore for days !! Never again would I see Dr.Chen. I never once even met Dr. Ignatowicz. Dr. Chen you need to talk to your patients and ask them questions .You should explain things and give them treatment options. You need to see if they are OK and let them know your plans and procedures as you begin ! And you definitely need to check in on them when you are sitting them through 4 FILLING IN ONE SITTING!! The dental hygienist and dentist I saw at Radiant Smiles were incredibly rude and dismissive during my visit. I was told I needed a deep cleaning that would cost around $500 just to clean half of my mouth. They also told me I had two small cavities that needed fillings and warned me that my teeth could eventually fall out if I didn't address the issues. Because of how serious they made it sound, I went ahead and had the fillings done. After my visit at Radiant Smiles, something didn't sit right with me, so when I traveled home I scheduled an appointment with my regular dentist for a second opinion. My regular dentist performed a full exam including X-rays, a full cleaning, fluoride treatment, and prescribed toothpaste. After reviewing everything, they told me that I did not need a deep cleaning and that the cavities I had been told I had were not actually present and the fillings were unnecessary. Another concerning issue was that Radiant Smiles didn't even attempt to run my insurance and instead presented everything as out-of-pocket costs. I also explained on my intake paperwork and verbally that I have an autoimmune disease and that my gums were swollen because of that. Despite this, they dismissed what I told them and insisted I needed antibiotics for my gums. My regular dentist confirmed that antibiotics were not necessary. Overall, the experience felt very fear-based and untrustworthy. I left feeling pressured into procedures that were not necessary and uncomfortable with how my concerns were handled. After comparing the care I received with my long-time dentist, the difference was night and day. If you value honest dental care and transparency, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to treatment at Radiant Smiles.

After I received my Explanation of Benefits from my insurance, I noticed several issues and called the insurance company to verify. They confirmed that my concerns were valid. The main issue was that my secondary insurance had been billed as the primary insurance. Delta confirmed they had no record of my primary insurance on file, only a note stating that I had another insurance plan. I worked with a Delta representative, and they explained that everything would need to be resubmitted either by the dental office or through a claim filed by me. When I brought this to the office staff's attention, I was not looking for an argument. I was simply trying to point out the issue so they could review it and correct the billing. Unfortunately, the staff became defensive and rude. That experience is what ultimately caused me to lose trust in the office after being a patient there for five years. To be clear, this review is not about the doctor's performance. My concern is strictly with the billing process and the way the office staff handled the situation. A billing mistake can happen, but how it is addressed matters. Patients should feel heard and respected when they bring forward legitimate concerns.

It has been a long while since seeing a dentist and I must say it is never something I look forward…read moreto. I haven't had the best experiences in the past, and my teeth are not in the best shape. My husband has been going to Premier Dental for a while now and suggested I give them a try since I recently got new insurance coverage. I went in a couple of weeks ago for my initial appointment. I was greeted by Asia and Jessi at the front desk and they were both nice and friendly. Special thanks to Jessi who helped me with the cost breakdowns for the procedures I needed. She sent everything I requested to my email for my husband to review in a way that we could clearly understand. I initially received a photo copy that was missing a page, and she resent everything on more clear PDF's that we could review. Nina took lots of x-rays and was very pleasant and had a very positive vibe. She had Alexa playing some nice tunes that kept my mind off of my worries and anxiety about the dentist. Dr. Lamancusa was my dentist and he was very nice and upbeat. He did his exam, pointed out areas of concern, and made a plan to address everything. He put my mind at ease about my concerns and let me know that all my issues are fixable and not the end of the world. I ended up needing 2 crowns ASAP. The anesthetic when preparing for my crowns was not strong enough and I could feel the drilling initially (ouch!), but Dr. Lamancusa quickly addressed the issue and adjusted my dosage so that I was completely numb. He said he also noted my file for future reference that I require more time and more anesthetic. For some reason that stuff just does not work on me like most people. I left with temporary crowns and was told the permanent crowns would be ready in two weeks. It was rough eating on one side, and not having bread or anything hot, but I managed. The crowns ended up being available 2 days early and they called and moved my appointment up. I must say having the crowns put on those exposed, sensitive, drilled down teeth was not fun. The cold water, the cleaning of the exposed teeth, the removing and resizing the crown over and over, the ice cold cement, it all hurt. But, the pain subsided a bit after lots of Tylenol. I have never had crowns so I did not know what to expect or what was normal, but the dental assistants assured me what I was experiencing was on par for getting crowns. I was not sure about the fit of the crowns initially, so Dr. Lamancusa told me to try them out and come back in a couple of days if I felt something was off. I went back this morning and he drilled the crowns down a bit to adjust. I haven't eaten yet to know for sure about my bite, but it seems to feel much better as of now. I had a cleaning and laser treatment with the Hygienist, Angela, who I must say is the BEST! She was so gentle with her equipment, she explained everything along the way, and she just has an overall kind and warm demeanor that made me feel at ease. She made sure I was numb enough throughout the process which I really appreciated. I will not be scared to keep up with my regular cleanings going forward, as long as Angela is there! All in all, I am glad that I finally went back to the dentist. Definitely recommend.
