Dr. Dane Swenson at PERIODONTICS LTD - I absolutely love, love, love Dr. Swenson! I am so thankful…read moreto him regarding my tooth extraction (30 year old root canal). I had been to Periodontics Ltd for a second opinion, as I am a returning patient from two years ago sent by my retired biological dentist, Dr. James Heltzel. My experience two years ago and today were fantastic. Dr. Swenson is knowlegeable, empathetic, professional and skilled. I was literally on my deathbed with fear over this procedure, but he made me comfortable in every way. He and his staff explained everything from start to finish in a dignified fashion. I elected to have IV Sedation due to sensitive teeth and past bad dental experiences - I am happy to report I did not feel anything! Post op instructions were clearly written and highlighted for me to easily follow. The office is clean and there is a positive vibration in the office and those working there. Staff, from the front desk to the dental assistants, are positive, caring and helpful. There is a 5% Discount for paying in Cash, Debit Card for major treatment over $450 and a courtesy 3% Discount for Credit Card Payment. If expense is unexpected, can apply for credit under Care Credit & Lending Club. Even my deep cleaning from two years ago was stellar in every way - I like that Periodontics LTD has the top of the line equipment and procedures are explained thoroughly. I am very appreciative to have a facility like this that consistently and compassionately serves the Las Vegas Valley.

Tooth #4 Extraction -- Updated from an enthusiastic 5-star review to 1 star: I am extremely…read moreconcerned following my 12/11/25 appointment for a #4 extraction. Two days prior to that visit, I clearly observed teeth #13 and #16 in the mirror. While inspecting a different issue with a crown on 3/21/26, I realized teeth #13 and #16 were not there. I was only billed for #4 back on 12/11/25, and my clinical records from that day make no mention of the other two teeth. I strongly recommend any patient take "before" photos of their mouth in the parking lot to document exactly what is there before sitting in the chair.

I'm going to start this review of the front office woman. She tried to sell me on the idea of not…read moreusing my insurance to pay for the visit and instead use cash. She wanted $175 cash. She knew I had insurance but tried to convince me using fear like somehow using my insurance was bad. Insurance is MENT to be used. Also, giving out my private information about my benefits in front of the lobby? RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL Then when I got into the chair I was told they wanted "special" x-rays that the regular dentist doesn't do. Over the phone I was told my dentist x-rays were fine. No mention of "special" xrays. I agreed because with her poor note taking skills, that shes very proud, (if they were any good she wouldnt have repeatedly tried to push me to pay in cash after i made it clear over the phone i was looking for a dr in network) forgot to write down where I asked her to pull my x-rays from my dentist that I took a couple months back. The front desk woman tried to gaslight me like I never said to pull my x-rays from my dentist and we never had that conversation over the phone. Strike 2. Unfortunately my dentist office was closed for lunch so I agreed to the x-rays. They looked the same. Legit nothing different. Then comes the periodontist. Friendly man except for the dismissiveness. Told me I had no gum recession and that the bleeding would stop if I switched from an Oral B electric to a Sonicare. He only acknowledged that I had a bleeding problem in one spot. The problem is my ENTIRE mouth bleeds when I wake up in the morning. My gums hurt! He ignored that too. I repeatedly said this and that i spit out blood in the mornings but was dismissed. Gaslite and hustled by the front desk girl and a dismissive attitude from the Dr. Won't be back and will be looking for a second opinion. Both my dentist(using the same one for 8 years) and maxillofacial surgeon who went to HARVARD (used the same doctor for 5 years) both told me I have gum recession and to see a periodontist about that and the bleeding. Weird to be dismissed when my 2 primary doctors who've known me for years said I need to see a periodontist. Oh and another uneasy feeling? The gentlemen that came after me clearly stated that he felt he was being hustled every time he was there. Plus I had to cancel the first appointment because my dog was sick and then the front desk girl told me there's a $50 cancelation policy if it's past 24 hours prior to the appointment but since it was my first time I was "okay". Then 6 days prior to my appointment today I get a text saying if I don't confirm at least 48hours prior to my appointment that's also subject to a cancelation fee! WHAT?! You all aren't hurting for business expecting $175 cash because you all know too well that insurance will negotiate that down to like $90. Then hustling for "special" x-rays. Way to make it clear that it's all about money from the first contact. Even signing the paperwork if your insurance doesn't pay up within 30 days you have to cover it. I've never signed anything like that!! Here's to praying they even process my claim on time when I know all they want is cash. I got the feeling I was being hustled and then the man after I walked in said he felt that way every time and stormed out, yeah not a good look! Over all a super uncomfortable experience. I'm worried they wont even try to bill my insurance. I cant sleep because of it and now I need a second opinion with someone who will take my problem seriously. I wasn't going to post to yelp but the owners reply on Google motivated me to copy and paste my review here to futher warn people of this unacceptable behavoir. The response to my review on google was manipulative and dismissive. The owner held zero accountability for anything I said here.

He let me suffer knowing it was severly infected. He is an absolute incompitent and should be sued by everyone he has hurt. Everyone in that office should be ashamed to work there. They all know hes cooked.

In March of 2023 I was referred to Dr. Trylovich by my former dentist, who has recently retired…read more He said he noticed something wrong with the last three teeth on the lower right after taking an x-ray. Dr. Trylovich looked at the x-ray and determined the teeth could not be saved, but he could replace them with implants. Total tab: about $15000. Dr. Trylovich was able to place two implants but said I did not have enough bone for the third implant, so he did a bone graft, and then I waited a few months. When Dr. Trylovich was satisfied with the bone graft, we went ahead with the procedure on September 19, 2023. From the very beginning, this one felt different. I had almost constant pain, and the pain extended to my right ear, despite being on antibiotics and Tylenol or Ibuprofen, round the clock. Dr. Trylovich then prescribed a different antibiotic. I contacted my regular doctor, and he agreed that the new antibiotic was more effective than the first one I had been given. But still, the pain persisted and on September 30, Dr. Trylovich told me to meet him at his Henderson office, and he would remove the implant. I was ecstatic on the drive home, because I thought my problem was over. But a dull ache persisted. I went to see one of his young proteges while Dr. Trylovich was vacationing. He looked in my mouth and said everything looked "fine." That was it. When Dr. Trylovich got back from his 2-week vacation in Mexico, I called and requested an appointment. This time he took an x-ray and the look on his face said it all. He asked if I had ever taken Fosamax. I was stunned, as he would have known the answer had he reviewed my records from the dentist who treated me from 2000 to 2020. I turned all of those records over to Dr. Trylovich after my dentist retired in late 2020. I assumed he had reviewed them and made copies before they were returned to me. Or he could have simply asked me that question outright before scheduling the implants, but he never did. My records showed I had taken Fosamax for more than 4 years. Dr. Trylovich diagnosed me with osteonecrosis of the jaw. I have since learned that anyone who has taken Fosamax for that duration or longer is at risk for this condition. The confusion and disarray demonstrated by Dr. Trylovich and/or some of his staff is obvious. The word "Fosamax" should have jumped off the page! The local dentist Dr. Trylovich referred me to for treatment of the osteonecrosis kept me stable for over a year. It was only at my last appointment a few weeks ago that he discovered that the bone loss has resumed. He believes one implant can still have a crown placed on it, but the other should be left alone, as the bone loss at the base will likely continue, causing problems in the future. Dr. Trylovich did refund the fee for the one implant that was removed. But I am still out of pocket over $5,000 for the useless third implant that remains. Guess he needed another 2-week vacation to Mexico, and he decided I could pay for it. And in case you think I am a rare case, and it can't happen again...I have news for you. I am actually his second patient to be diagnosed with this rare condition after being treated by him.
