So I've lost count on how many bad reviews I've done here. It's like a bad relationship but keep trying. This place is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get. BUT you will be for certain that you will be 100% disappointed. Ordered rolled tacos with guac and cheese. Pretty standard menu item but yet the one that is always bad. The photo shows the guac and cheese are sectioned off. Can't have a bite with both in it. Looking forward to my very small egg and bean burrito, only to find there is no eggs in it and was still charged. After the 10 years they've been opened, not once has an order been correct. How hard is it to spread the guac and cheese evenly? I'm convinced these people literally don't have a brainstem. They don't care about quality and they ignore all the bad reviews while charging high prices for the cheapest food and bad quality. When I want legitimate, more authentic Mexican food, here in South Orange County, this is definitely one of my top three options! Generous portions, authentic flavors, and excellent prices. Service is always pleasant, And restaurant decor has a great Hispanic appeal. The location, has great outside seating, and ample parking. The food here just isn't good. I feel so terribly to say it, but it's just not good. I've tried the carne asada fries, I've tried the carne asada burrito. Today I ordered the California burrito. There were no fries in the burrito. There was the smallest portion of guac in there. It was very wet, I kept having to turn my burrito sideways to drain all the watery salsa like a pitcher. The last third of the burrito was completely inedible. I really do feel awful giving this rating because I want to like this place. I live so close, but every time the food is so awful. read more

You'll find most of the common dishes here that should satisfy your random cravings. We were looking for a late-night taco snack and didn't realize how big these tacos were. One downside of these tacos is that you have to eat them quick. Otherwise, the tortilla gets soggy, and it breaks on you. One highlight mentioned is their roll tacos (chicken or beef). Those were so good! I would come back here just for those. Inside was average from what we saw. They could have made it a bit cleaner for dinners to enjoy their meals. We drive from Redondo to check out the Ladera Ranch Christmas lights and we were hungry before heading home and we decided to give this spot a try. First off, plenty of parking. Restaurant looks small from the outside but is actually pretty spacious with tables. It's an order at the counter and food is delivered to your table type spot. I automatically love a spot with a self serve salsa bar!! We ordered a plethora of food. Cheesy enchiladas, taquitos, carne asada burrito, folded tacos and rice. The food was all very good. However I'm removing 1 star for the enchiladas ... the sauce was delicious but as quite a few people mention the inside cheese is barely/hardly melted which was disappointing but we hate to complain so we ended taking that item to go and heated them up the next day and they were really good. Considering we don't live close by, we won't be frequent visitors but I would definitely go back if we are. Give them a try if you haven't!!!! read more

To pay for over priced food with a generous $5.00 tip given our times- as he watched me put the money in their tip jar - for zero nice and a to go box served to me while sitting down in a messy restaurant- To then receive two broken exactly the same tacos in their "to go container" with my "Dine In Receipt" and sadly tasteless lukewarm meat and a lot of ice cold lettuce- With watery refried beans and mostly crispy rice- barely served to me at 7:49 a.m in the morning- there were other subtleties, I won't mention. I took your dirty kitchen towel cleaned your table and threw your uneatable "food" away. I didn't even drink my fancy $4.68 coke in a bottle. Large portions, I always forget that I really only need to order one taco even though I ordered two and then I usually give the second one way or save it for lunch the next day We usually get takeout and the burritos are usually labeled. I have purchased food from this restaurant for quite a while now, but no more. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to get an order prepared correctly. No matter what I order, the order ends up wrong. I would think it impossible to be that consistent, but it seems to be the way it is. I order chicken rolled tacos with no guacamole and I receive beef taquitos with guacamole and cheese. I ask for no cotija and I get an order covered with cotija. I could write for an hour, but the result is the same. I order in both spanish and english and get same results. Ronaldos is THE BEST - They are very reliable and loyal to their customers - they are always open late at night and always dependable. The management is extremely friendly and I can always count on them for the BEST food and service. I had a couple orders cancelled tonight via Doordash but RONALDOS came through. I was SO GRATEFUL!!! The flavor profiles are amazing and I am OBSSESSED with their Bean Burritos, taco salads and my husband LOVES the Carne Asada. Pretty good overall. My wife and I attended a day long football event at MVHS and needed to grab some lunch. We saw Ronaldo's when we got off the freeway and gave it a shot. Location is very small with only about 4-5 small booths (seating for 2) inside and no outside seating at all. Parking lot is crowded as well since there are several businesses sharing the space. BUT, the food was good which is the most important aspect of any restaurant right?!? I enjoyed the shredded beef burrito, very good size for the cost and I didn't quite finish it off. Left full and satisfied. Only suggestions would be to add a bit more beef. Several bites were only rice and beans. Again, it was good even with that criticism. My wife ordered the taquito plate and enjoy her lunch a great deal. Lots of food for the price. The salsa bar had several choices from mild to hotter, red and green, etc. The staff was quick to take our order and we only waited about 10min for our food. Last Tuesday was out first time here. We've driven by here for years but never gave it a shot because from the street it looks like a dive. OK, it's not fancy, is kinda divey. This business does not offer any Military discounts or senior discounts or any kind of discounts. I'm x military and if they don't support the military the Military won't support them. Their prices are as high as a nice sit down restaurant and they only have a 3 star rating which means their food doesn't justify the high prices. Good place for overpriced subpar food. read more

I want to love them because we go there a lot but, the food was never consistent. Sometime they forget cheese on my tacos , or the size of my tacos. Sometime if the cook is happy, my tacos came out big and delicious and sometime , my tacos are so small and barely had any meat or veggies. My friend and I went here and noticed that their quesadillas were about $1 something. I figured they must have been mini quesadillas. But when we were rang up, each one was about $15. I thought maybe the numbers had fallen off but the last digits were off. And when I asked the cashier by pointing at the menu she refused to look and pointed at her register. I then took a picture of the menu to show her and she refused to acknowledge it. I would have been okay if she noticed the mistake and apologized but she was firm in ignoring the confusion. The food was decent and the atmosphere was a little funky. I was mainly unsettled about the hospitality but I'll give the area some credit for being 24/7. I ate at the Ronaldo's Los Alisos location before. Ronaldo's has the same menu as all the variations of the Alberto's/Albertacos. We had a 1 hr break between games during a basketball tournament at MVHS so we drove over to Ronaldo's for a quick cheap lunch. My husband got the burrito that had shrimp and steak in it (he forgets what it was called). I got my usual rolled tacos with cheese and guac plus a potato taco because I was starving. My husband says his burrito was just ok. Let me tell you that he's pretty easy to please when it comes to burritos, so hearing him say it was just ok, tells me it wasn't very good. He didn't eat more than half of it and didn't take the rest home. My potato taco was just ok. It was literally just diced fried potatoes in a friend corn tortilla. I had to drown it in salsa just to have some flavor. My rolled tacos on the other hand were awful. Of all the cheap rolled tacos I've eaten the past 30+ years this was the second time I've ever been disgusted. They tasted fishy almost! I even dissected them to make sure it wasn't fish. There was a teeny amount of beef in each one but damn, the beef was so gross! I tasted the tortilla to see if maybe it was the oil. The tortilla tasted completely normal. It was the teaspoon amount of meat in each one that gave big yuck flavor. I at the cheese and guac for protein because I was hungry. My husband tried to get me to order something else but I did not want to risk it. Went to this restaurant yesterday for breakfast. It was just not good! My friend ordered a breakfast Chilaquiles. The beans were cold. It just tasted old. My dad and I ordered their Menudo. The Menudo was very spicy, more broth than necessary, and the meat in the Menudo was very small in size. I'm talking half inch to quarter inch in size. There was very little meat and very little hominy. We ordered coffee as well. The coffee machine was broken so we didn't get our coffee for about 15 minutes later. The creamer for the coffee was the powdered kind! I was totally shocked about that. No liquid creamer at all available. I would not recommend this place. There was practically no beans and it was all rice.
