Good food and a pretty decent place to go to for large groups because they have long booths and tables. I liked the fried green beans and wonton soup the best of what we selected. Everything overall was delicious.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The food and service is wonderful! I came here today with my husband and two toddler boys for lunch. We ordered the pork chop fried rice, green beans with pork, bbq pork buns, truffle soup dumplings, spicy shrimp and pork wontons, scallion pancake, and the chicken and corn dumplings. Spicy pork and shrimp wontons: perfect spice level not too spicy but spicy enough. There's a delicious crunch in every bite because of the shrimp. Hack: use this chili oil in the bottom of the wonton plate on everyyyyything! Pork chop fried rice: pork cutlet was so crisp and flavorful. The rice was great and had mixed veggies and egg in it. The green beans were so flavorful and we added the minced pork to it. Best green beans I've had in a while! Bbq pork buns: so pillowy sweet and soft. Everything a pork bun should be! Pork inside is also very tender. Truffle dumplings: truffly, soupy, warm and comforting...just order these no other explanation needed you will not be sorry lol Scallion pancake: crisp and chewy. So simple but so yum :)) Chicken and corn dumplings: had a great flavor. At first, we ordered them fried and they came out soft on top (like steamed) with a slightly fried bottom which wasn't too crispy in my opinion so we let the waiter know, and the chef was kind enough to deep fry them for us and bring them out extra crispy which we really appreciated! Definitely try this place out. Their portions are very generous and their service is wonderful and their food tastes amazing!

An eatery specialized in dumpling and other northern Chinese dishes located in a strip mall. We visited there on a Saturday around 1:30 pm. It was relatively busy but there were still empty tables. We were seated promptly. Order can be taken through the QR code or with the waiters. Order was taken shortly after seating and food was served soon after. All orders came piping hot. The pork Xialong Bao was OK but had a slight starchy taste. Dry fried green beans with garlic was good. The fresh zucchini and egg fried dumplings were good but a bit on the salty side. The beef fried noodle was Ok! Overall, the place was clean, service was good, portions were adequate and prices were comparable to similarly type of eateries in the Irvine neighborhood.

It was so delicious. I didn't think to take a picture before I started eating, whoops.

That was delicious! A clean fun atmosphere with great service. I appreciate being able to order through the website on my phone. I had the green beans and the dumplings and they were fabulous.

We came here for a group lunch on a Thursday and it was almost completely empty! There were 9 people in our party, so we did family style within each side of the table (so our "family" was 5 people). We ordered pork xiao long bao, black truffle pork xiao long bao, pork cutlet fried rice, cucumber salad, hot and sour soup, and pork and shrimp steamed dumplings. I really liked the xiao long bao! The truffle flavor was very subdued - I couldn't really tell to be honest. They came in a vibrant purple color though, so it was beautiful! The pork and shrimp dumplings were also delicious. The fried rice with pork cutlet was good too. I felt like the cucumber salad wasn't quite at peak freshness, but it was still good. Our food came out very quickly. Our whole lunch only took 45 minutes, which is impressive for a group as big as ours. And one more random thing- I really liked their chopsticks because they had a slight textured section on the tips to help grip the dumplings better. Dumplings are so slippery so I appreciated that! It was plenty of food for all of us!

This place is close to home and we had never tried it. The food was delicious! The cucumber salad is one of the best I've ever had, it was fresh and savory. The fried rice with pork chop was so good. I was sad that I had to share it. The soup dumplings, Pork Xiaolongbao, were my favorite. Feels like a treat to bite into the dumpling and get the warm flavorful broth. Service was sufficient but they won't be checking on you so ask for help if you need it.

Sauteed Broccoli w.Garlic was excellent!
Scott B.

Grabbed to-go... the garlic broccoli was for sure the winner! The fried rice was probably one of our least favorite fried rice dishes we've ever had and was super disappointing because the broccoli was so very good. We'll try here again, but probably skip the fried rice. Can't speak to the service and ambiance since we got to-go aside from the packaging was done well.

Had lunch at this new spot with my wife and daughter. Place was clean and well lit. Was seated quickly and was told to use the code on the table to order, when we were ready. Would rather have a waited because we had lots of questions regarding the dishes. Anyway, we decided to order a variety of dishes to check out different options. The prices were reasonable, the dishes were tasty and the quantities of the plates were good. We drove 30 miles to check this place out. Overall, good solid place, but would not make the drive again, but would drop in if we were in the area.

Fish Roe Shrimp & Pork Shumai, Pork Xiaolongbao, and Black Truffle Fries w.Cheese Powder

First visit to Seven Folding Dumpling House and it was a win! I ordered takeout and was impressed by how fast everything came out. Tried the xiao long bao and the roe dumplings -- both were fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Also had the black truffle fries. Perfectly hot, but honestly, these fries didn't need the flavor. I'll try the regular order next time . Even to-go, they all held up really well and tasted great. Quick service, delicious dumplings, and an easy first experience. I'll definitely be back to try more.

We love dim sum and have been wanting to try this new spot for months. Easy free parking and we had no wait at lunch at 1:15p. You can view paper menus or via QR code and ordering is easy through the QR code. You can't complete payment though online. We got: -XLB pork - lots of broth but not as flavorful as DTF, Mimi's garden or Paradise Dynasty. They give you fresh ginger and vinegar as a side which I appreciate -seaweed salad- good - scallion pancakes- greasy but good -har gow - larger than average and good - hot and sour soup - a big portion for $9.99 and def hits the hot spicy note full of tofu and fungus strips (the mushroom kind) -crispy pork chop - lean and juicy Servers were friendly and the tables and plates/chopsticks were clean. Def give them a try when you don't want to drive up Irvine.

Pork Dumplings. November 2025.

Here's my take on Seven Folding Dumpling House.... I ordered pork dumplings, pork/shrimp wonton soup, beef/onion dumplings, 3-piece vegetable spring rolls, chicken fried rice, and Passionfruit green tea. I ordered ALL of my dumplings, steamed. Soup, ALL dumplings, spring rolls, and tea, were all delicious! Tea was refreshing, and dumplings were succulent and juicy! The chicken fried rice was mediocre, at best! The soup was flavorful. In fact, AVOID the chicken fried rice, it was way too moist. When I arrived yesterday, it wasn't super crowded. The service was poor and fell short. I felt ignored and unvalued. No real communication. I had to yell for my certain things, after politely waving them to come to my table for to-go boxes and check. They didn't check in to see how I was doing or if I liked anything else. The service was so disappointing. As delicious as the food is, I'm saddened to say that I won't be returning. Also, the clean decor was simple. Food is 5 Stars, but service is a 3.5 stars. Customer service needs to improve, in my opinion. Such a shame....

Beef Noodle Soup

Found this place on Yelp. 5/5 for food, service, and ambience. Place is cute, bright and airy. Soup dumplings were cooked perfectly, did not break when picking up with chopsticks. Beef noodle soup was very good. Beef is cut in thin slices. Staff is friendly and routinely checks on you. Glad we found this place on Yelp. We will definitely be back if in the area. Solid food and service. Plenty of parking.

We stopped for lunch in Mission Viejo. This is a new place that serves a menu similar to Din Tai Fung. We ordered fried rice, pork chop, green beans, and dumplings. It was not very expensive and high quality. The menu had pictures and the entire restaurant was clean. This is what I like. I recommend Seven Fold Dumpling House.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. We don’t have the type of noodles you mentioned, but we do have fried rice and it’s very delicious. You’re very welcome to come and give it a try!

Do you have push carts?

Sorry, we don’t have

Are there any gluten free options?

Hello Emily , thanks for contacting us, We are not a certified gluten-free kitchen, but we can offer fried rice and vegetables without soy sauce.

Do they serve beer?

Sorry, we don’t serve beer, but our soup dumplings will make you want to raise a glass lol

Are their Xiao Long Baos soupy or overcooked?

Their XLB seems to be consistent all right, but quilty isn't close to level of Din Tai Fung for sure. Dimsum and dumpling skins are way too thick.

Do they put msg in the food?

As a professional dating coach and a full‑time food lover, I take my restaurant scouting very…read moreseriously. My job is to help you avoid the tragic first‑date mistakes I've already made, like the overpriced spots, the bland dishes, the "why is this chair attacking my spine?" seating. I've wasted the time, energy and money on the other loser spots so you don't have to. But when I find a place that's clean, visually appealing, thoughtfully designed, and serving food that's actually seasoned, cooked well, and plated with pride? Oh, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. So let me put you on to my latest discovery: DIHO SIAM, right in the heart of Ladera Ranch. If you've followed me on Yelp for a while, you already know I'm a lifelong Thai‑food fanatic. I've been loyal to Thai cuisine longer than some people stay loyal in relationships. Since I wasn't trying to overeat, I ordered an appetizer, and let me tell you, this "appetizer" came out looking like a BIG FULL-GROWN lunch. I'm not a big white‑meat gal, so I asked if they had anything with dark meat. I ended up with chicken wings and drumsticks in a sweet‑and‑sour sauce. The moment I cut into that chicken? I ascended. The breading had that perfect balance...not too salty, not too bland...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm not saying I had a foodie‑induced spiritual experience, but if I did, nobody needed to know. One look at the rest of the menu and I knew I'd be back. Yes, I will absolutely make the 45‑minute drive to try their lunch dishes. It's worth it. And the prices? Shockingly reasonable considering the economy is basically held together with duct tape and vibes. Now, my one note for the owners: please, for the love of all things holy and iced... offer a dairy‑free Thai iced tea option. It was 94° today, and I was ready to down two giant glasses, but they only use half‑and‑half. This is California. We are oat‑milk, soy‑milk, almond‑milk, "I'm‑on‑Ozempic‑don't‑judge‑me" people. Give the people what they want. Add oat milk to the menu, put a cute little 4x5 flyer in a clear acrylic stand on each table announcing your new dairy‑free Thai iced tea, and watch customers flock to it. And just to close this out on a high note: I'm 100% coming back to Diho Siam. There are way too many dishes on that menu calling my name, and I fully intend to answer. Consider this my official teaser...I'll be updating my Yelp Elite Squad review after my next visit, and trust me, people wait for those updates like they wait for a second date after a great first one. I might even give you an extra star and make it a Five-Star review! Wink! wink! Stay tuned, because this place has officially earned a spot on my "must‑return" list. And don't forget to give me a thumbs up or a heart if you like my reviews and follow me!

This is one of the first times other Yelp reviews have truly done me dirty…read more My family ordered takeout because of all the rave reviews, and we were all so disappointed! We started with the glass noodle soup, which was like slightly flavored water. Barely even a broth. We couldn't finish it. We ordered the appetizer platter that has a bunch of fun fried things. The samosa type thing was so hard that I had to spit it out. The rest was just ok. We ordered our favorite dishes, crying tiger and pad see ew (combo meat & shrimp). We couldn't even eat the crying tiger, it was the worst quality meat and seasoned poorly. I'd rather eat a bag of beef jerky from the gas station for dinner than this. The pad see ew was oddly chewy. The meat was very cheap and unseasoned as well. I ended up primarily eating the white rice which was also overly mushy, but at least edible. If we ate in I would've complained & most likely walked out (which I literally have never done), but, alas, we did takeout. Never again. My newborn who eats straight up baby food mush eats better cuisine than this. There is better Thai food around here, this was a HUGE disappointment.

Shanghai style smoked fish ($16.5) - This fish isn't smoked, rather it's deep fried twice creating an extremely crispy exterior and is dipped in a sweet soy sauce. It's a unique tasting appetizer, perfect for sharing. Sauteed string beans with garlic ($13.5) - These beans had a slight crunch and are a great veggie option. Steamed fish and shrimp dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is a good option if one is looking to get their dumpling fix. Steamed veggie dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is another good dumpling option that tastes great. However the dumplings aren't that filling themselves. Braised beef shank noodle soup ($16.50) - Made with braised beef, pickles, cilantro, bok choy, green onions, noodles and a savory and spicy beef spot, this dish is perfect for a cold day. Crispy beef rolls ($15 - 6 pieces) - This consisted of tender beef, cucumbers, scallions, and a savory sauce all rolled in a crispy and flaky scallion pancake. It's one of my favorite items here. Kung pao chicken ($16) - This stir fried dish is prepared with tender chicken, peanuts, and spices and is my favorite dish here. Sweet and sour chicken ($16) - I was impressed with the quantity of chicken in this dish. It was perfectly prepared with a crispy batter and a tangy and sweet sauce that really hit the spot! Pineapple beef ($16) - This consisted of tender and thin pieces of beef stir fried with some pineapple and is another solid dish to get here. Chocolate mochi xiao long bao ($11 - 5 pieces) - These chewy dumplings had a wonderful chocolate filling. Rose flavored red bean buns ($14 for 3) - I felt these were pricey but they had a good amount of filling and the bao bun was soft and fluffy. Golden egg custard buns ($13.5 for 3) - These are similar to the red bean buns, except the inside has egg custard. I really wish they doubled or tripled the custard, because the amount they give is miniscule, and it's for that reason I would pass on these. Overall I'm impressed with many of the items here and the pricing is reasonable. Even though I've tried so many dishes here, I wish they had even more offerings that didn't have pork. I'll definitely be back.
