I was disappointed with the taste of the food. The wings were cooked in old and burnt grease. The mozzarella sticks are like string cheese toasted in flour. The sheer lack of organization is beyond me. We tried calling in for this order the line was busy had to come in and order and wait. The lack of respect given to customers that are not regulars is felt. The food is bland and not as good as advised. I would recommend maybe going on a less busy day. That may have been part of the terrible service we received. They need a better system to this restaurant. I would give it no stars if I could. read more

I first visited this place around 15 years ago and I remember that the wings were really good. Oftentimes things seldom live up the the hype we build up in our mind and are usually not as good as we remember them. But in this case, the reality of just how good their wings are far exceed my expectations and memories. Probably the best chicken wings I've ever had outside of Buffalo. Also their homemade chips are cooked almost perfectly. Just the right amount of crispy and chewy. We've been coming here my entire life and love it! The wings and service can't be beat. My only critique is they have recently changed how they make their fried zucchini. It went from being something we'd have to buy multiple orders of in order to satisfy everyone, to now being something not worth purchasing. I previewed their menu online before calling in my order. The prices on the menu online are not accurate. My order should have been $36 plus tax and it was actually $49 before tax at pick up. I ordered 30 wings and they only give you one side of ranch or blue cheese. It's $1 per sauce after that. I don't mean to be disrespectful but i don't understand how anyone could give this place two stars, much less five. Ordered takeout based on all the good reviews. First warning sign was the pizza price: a 12" cheese starts at $8.45. Well you get what you pay for, the crust was school cafeteria-grade cardboard. the sauce a barely detectable watery layer underneath a rubbery, tasteless plank of mozzerella. Just very low-grade ingredients. If i eat pizza i want the indulgence to be worth it for the calories. The wings: Awful. No batter detectable between sauce and skin. Cheap meat. The sauce was watery and 90% of it was pooled in the bottom of the takeout container. Instead of a velvety smooth (not even sure if there was real butter or margarine in it) it was a broken emulsion that basically resulted in oily hot sauce. Restaurant opened in '82 i think and they haven't done a thing to it since. Don't get me wrong: fake wood paneling has its charm, but only when it hides some culinary delight. Here it hides nothing, it just tells you what lies ahead: food that tastes somewhat like fake-wood paneling. Avoid at all costs. I think lots of the good reviews are based on childhood nostalgia or were conducted during extreme hangovers. read more

My family and I arrived here Sunday at 7:11 pm, we were seated and basically left for dead. For 10 minutes we waited as waitresses danced around us waiting on patrons. Finally I decided to go see what was the problem and the cashier says "nobody'd come to help you yet", I replied no and she say's she'll get someone. We waited another 5 minutes and just decided to leave. It might be worth pointing out we were the only people of "color" in the whole restaurant, usually a for sure sign that this isn't a culturally friendly establishment. I will never step foot in this place again, they don't deserve my money. I'm sure they have they core customers, but with the landscape of Clemmons changing everyday let's see how long their evil ways continue to last in this economic climate. read more

Ronni's gets a solid 4-5 stars for food and family friendly local spot. Wings to me probably best in Triad, Extra Hot are easily tolerable. Where they fall short is take out service. As longtime locals, we order regularly but have noticed over past year that it is almost every order has an issue. Usually late or "forgotten" items rather than wrong food or poor quality. Also, need a lesson in better customer attention, a complimentary beer or soda while waiting or occasional comped item would let us know they recognize the problem and value our loyalty. read more

I think Ronni's is probably the first place I ever had wings, and they must be why I love them so much today-because I had a great first experience. Ronni's wings are always cooked perfectly, and their sauces are everything you expect. (We've never had any special flavors here-only the traditional with varying degrees of heat.) The pizza is also good, and my brother and I used to LOVE the pepperoni bomber sandwiches-pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni on a sandwich roll. We have tried so hard to like this restaurant so many times and they just can't seem to get it together. We always order 3 small cheese fries because despite the poor service the fries are delicious, but this FOURTH visit is the only time we've received all 3 fries. We even went to the extent of writing our order down on a note, handing it to the waitress and having her read it back to us, and STILL only received two fries. The waitresses all seem to forget items off of orders and then when it's brought to their attention, EACH time they blame it on the back claiming "they can't count." We even heard another table ask for something and the other waitress blamed it on the back. This visit in particular we received wings that were so hard they couldn't be cut into. We asked for one order of the lunch special which is 10 wings and comes with celery and Texas toast. Not once have we received Texas toast or celery with our wings. We always have to correct the bill and there's just no excuse. The service is extremely poor but if you have two hours to kill and don't mind the waitress coughing into her hand before handing you your food, this is the place for you. read more

Ronnie's restaurant is the only joint my family goes to get wings and pizza. Their wings are better than any other place (like wing zone, etc.) And the pizza is always fresh and straight from the oven. Their crust is delicious. I guess the reason why I didn't rate it a 5 star, I guess it would be because of the plates and cups....they have been using the same cheap plates and cups since forever. I love the food but the service is not good! We were the only ones in there for lunch and sat in a booth. The kitchen staff was loud and our waitress had to leave (she was itching) Once that happened the manager became our waitress and she never checked on us. Ronni's is you textbook example of what a pizza and wing restaurant should be. Its kind of a pain to get in and out of their parking lot, and the building itself due to a long hallway type entrance. Really strange. The wait staff is friendly. This place gets busy at times and there may be a wait or delay in getting your food. Inside the restaurant its a little tight. The place is clean and well lit. Restrooms are a little dated but clean. This is a no frills type of place. People come here for the good food. And thats what you will get. They have your typical bone in wings, and boneless wings, which to me is a great touch. The sauces range from mild to nuke hot. Your choice. I have never been disappointed in the sauce or the wings. It is always exactly what it claims to be. Mild has a good flavor for those who dont like it hot. Medium is a slight amount of heat. Hot is getting up there, but has the same great flavor. Nuke wings will have you calling for help in no time! I love both types of wings here, they are both cooked up to perfection and are a good size. The pizza is solid, and their specials of wings and pizza make a great combo. They also have sandwiches, and my favorite is the meatball sub. It comes loaded with cheese and grilled bread. It is wonderful. Service is fast and friendly, but at their busy times there may be a slight wait or delay. Get some fried mushrooms to start out. You will be glad you did. I have been coming to this place since I was a kid, and have always loved it. However, tonight was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. The waitress we had was amazing, but when it came checkout time, we were asked how everything was and I told the cashier that our wings were really over cooked. We didn't complain to the waitress because we just didn't have the time to wait for a replacement order. The cashier stated to me that we had ordered them extra crispy, and her reply was, "well someone did." I informed her that I had not ordered the extra crispy, nor did anyone else at my table, but we did, in fact, order them with extra sauce. This cashier was extremely rude in her tone, never offered a discount or even an apology for our order. I would have still came back to eat here, because most restaurants from time to time have off nights, and I know this place is normally wonderful, but after how we were treated after expressing our displeasure with our wings, I doubt we will be back. read more

I very much want to love this place like the old location in kernersville. After several attempts I see it's not possible. The wings have had very little sauce every time so if you try take out make sure to check your box so you can get them to add some if needed. Pizza crust is good but not much cheese or sauce. On top of all this if you dine in bring earplugs...gets very noisy. Another big turn off for me is disgruntled employees bickering in front of customers.
