This is the third time in as many years that I've used Ron's Appliance Repair to help my aging 13 year-old washing machine. It works too well and would be too expensive to replace (it was LG's flagship largest capacity for residential model at the time.) In my experience, Ron's is responsive for setting up appointments--often times it's the very next day. I try to provide as many details as possible into whatever issue my machine is having, including sending videos and pictures so they can have parts on the truck. They show up on time. They're courteous and don't judge my often messy house, LOL. They work efficiently and leave the space clean. Just had the most knowledgeable tech, Teresa, come and repair my brand new washer and dryer. These were purchase from one of the Bay Area's big name appliance providers. Their installers delivered two dryers and three washers that were either defective of installed incorrectly. Teresa was able to fix the dryer by correcting the overheating and leaking and the washer by balancing it. All this in less than an hour! My advice, ask for Teresa. read more

I would give 0 Stars if that was a choice. Bought a new Fridge and the Cooling system was acting up, so on Warranty they sent Ron's Appliance. 2 guys showed up, had no idea how to work on my Fridge, watched multiple YouTube videos to figure it out. They called the manufacturer to get help, ordered a new part and proceeded to cut wires and kill the Mother board. Told me to call them back when the part arrives, as my Fridge slowly died as did the Cold Air and Freezer. We kept the doors closed because the Fridge was Off, took a few items out and put in our garage freezer. New part arrived 2 days later, called Ron's back and they told us Sorry we aren't available for a Week... are you Fn kidding me; so I explained to the lady who answered what the situation was and was told tough luck!! I had to store my food in 2 Coolers, buy a Mini Fridge and ended up losing a chunk of change on Food that went bad. On top of that they called back and told me that I was being to difficult and I needed to call another service company... Holy Crap, I can't tell you how Unprofessional they are!! I'm pretty sure this business never answers the phone, every time I called it put me straight to voicemail, even when I called during business hours. Ironic, since their advertisement states "any problem, any time, call us first!" I called on a Monday to make an appointment for my washer, which was making loud noises from being unbalanced, and not working. I left a voicemail with my address, then all communication was via text, I made an appointment via text, and two servicepeople came out to the house. They were frustrated as they said that the person doing their scheduling had omitted crucial pieces of information, and had sent them to the wrong address. They looked at the washer and said that it failed their initial inspection, a piece had come off the side, and they put it back in place. They said that if the issue happened again, the suspension rods probably needed to be replaced. There was a $150 service fee. I was skeptical that the issue was resolved, but I didn't want to rock the boat. I figured I'd just call them again when it recurred, and at least I'd know the problem. The next time I tried to use the washer, the same issue happened again. I called on a Sunday, and left a voicemail stating that the issue was occurring again, and I needed to make an appointment to have the suspension rods replaced. I received no response. The following Tuesday at 1:21PM I called again and left another voicemail checking in. At 5:51PM on Tuesday I received a text stating "we received your voicemail regarding the rods for the washer when we get back into the office tomorrow morning we will get these on order thank you." I waited over a week with no follow-up. Then I called Kelly's Appliance Center, who were absolutely fabulous, answer their phone, and fixed the problem in short order. It's now been 3 months with no follow-up from Ron's, and I'm comfortable that my conclusion that they were never going to follow-up is correct. TL/DR: in my experience this business had terrible communication and poor customer service. Call Kelly's Appliance Center instead. read more

My experience with Ron's Appliance Repair has been frustrating and disappointing because my dishwasher hasn't been fixed. My new $954 GE dishwasher began making a chirping noise every minute for 2 hours each evening. GE sent Ron's Appliance Repair to correct the problem. Over the last 2 months Ron's Appliance Repair has been out 3 times, and the problem has never been resolved. They were supposed to have come yesterday, but never showed. The same technician came all 3 times although I requested that someone else be sent after her failure to fix the problem. The first time she came, she determined that it was a bad computer board, but that GE wasn't making it anymore. I received no report or phone call to follow up. The third time she came, she fought a new computer board and fiddled with the dishwasher for over an hour. When she left, the dishwasher was not working at all. I've spoken with Ray on the phone, and he has been unhelpful and rude. Disappointment and frustration best describe my experience with Ron's Appliance Repair. read more
