I had him add me to list for 7:30am (just in case) and advised that I was going to check out one more mechanic (nearby). Ultimately I went with Lowell's! The interaction with Lane felt more authentic. I appreciate that he was willing to give a range, and advise how price would vary based on if it was a this problem, verses a that problem. The next morning I dropped my car off. Without knowing when they'd get to it, I just took a Lyft to a restaurant in NE for breakfast and figured I'd walk to work from there. My car was ready by 10am and while I could have gone back for it, I decided to wait till later in the day, which they were fine with. The other place had a loaner car, a waiting area, and would have cost less (based on the diagnosed issue, front brake pad & rotor).
