Quite possibly the best burger I've encountered. The 1/2 pound sausage cheeseburger is to die for! WOW! I'm back in the Midwest City area for work now, and I love sharing this hidden gem with coworkers. The order of fries are staggering, so if I could advise any new visitors, I'd say stick to a half order. The massive burger and half order of fries is guaranteed to be enough! Definitely a "dive" sort of spot. But don't let the older decor and hole in the wall vibe turn you off because these burgers are some of the best in OKC! They had a few lunch specials available that included half fry and a drink however most of my team just went for burgers or chicken sandwiches and tots! THE TOTS! If you love tots! This small restaurant was really great for our party of 16. Friendly and attentive service here; in fact, drinks got refilled before we even noticed we needed a refill. Our server rocked splitting the bill too (we had 4 families all with several kids!) and our food came out super hot and everyone was happy. My hubby got a cheeseburger; he didn't finish his bun as it was too buttery for him. Our son, who was far away from me and looked very happy also got a cheeseburger. Ron's is an Okie classic, however it had been a LONG time since I'd had it and never had been to this location before. I was with a group from work, and we ended up here for lunch. There were about 10 of us, and we took over the right corner area. Our server was the absolute sweetest and took such good care of us. The food took a while, but we weren't on a tight schedule so that was fine. I had the Indian taco salad and enjoyed it. I also tried my coworker's chili cheese fries which were pretty good too. Last night we went to Ron's Hamburger & Chili in Midwest City. They weren't too busy, but it took a good 5 minutes before someone came and took our drink order. We got two Dr. Peppers and a Mountain Dew. The server brought us Pepsi and two Dr. Peppers. I should have known at that moment that we should have left. We put in our order, having ordered burgers, fried pickles and their absolutely amazing cheese fries that are my favorite. I always order extra cheese because that's how they should be ordered. We get our fries and my side has zero cheese. Our server never came back to check on us, never to see how the food was or refill our drinks (and my husband had a burger loaded with jalapenos). My burger was charred black on one side and the other looked like it had been boiled. Even my husband and little sister said their burgers tasted different than they normally did. Our server appeared to drop off our $40 ticket and disappeared again. I went to pay and asked the girl at the register to take off the extra charge for the extra cheese on the fries. She was really sweet and apologized and did it. (I wish she would have been our server.) I didn't get their 'award-winning' sausage burger but I did have their regular burger and it was definitely above average. Lots of flavor, but also lots of grease. The restaurant certainly wasn't busy when I went, perhaps they were understaffed today, however the service was initially quite slow. That said, I am certainly looking forward to my next visit to Ron's because there truly isn't much alternative fresh burger wise in the area. read more

My wife and I are new to Mwc. Went here for the first time yesterday. Was treated like we had Covid or something . Food was pretty good. Probably would have returned . But the service we got made us feel like we went welcome. There was only one other person eating here at same time we were dining. But the server never checked on us til the end of the meal. I needed a refill and more napkins very badly. Not even a check to see how the food was. Just took our order brought us food and never came back to table until meal was done and we were ready to go. For this wee will never return. Cause there was nobody else to watch over the employee ti make sure they take care of the customers. At a financial time like we are all experiencing. I live for greasy spoon diners and local onion burgers. I know it's not health food and I might actually turn Hulk angry if I found something healthy in my burger without knowledge of it. Ron's is that kind of place you know is going to make you smile. Their chili is not southern style so don't it's easier to eat on a burger. We get something different every time and I content with a sausage burger smothered in chilli. The fries were lacking this visit on the last weekend of March. I have been going to this place for years, and it has never let me down in any way. Apparently, they are famous for their chili. I'll have to say -- it is really good. I usually get the 1/2 beef. 1/2 sausage chili cheese burger. The burger arrives with the chili poured right on top of it, so it is definitely one you eat with utensils. The loaded fries are also fantastic. A full order is more than enough for two people to split. Delicious burgers and quick service, which is always a plus. This is one of those places I have to keep myself from going to all the time or else I'm going to get really fat! My only complaint is that they close at 8pm and are closed Sundays. ~Awkward Experience~ Sit back, get cozy, put your readers on and let me tell you a story of a lunch gone completely awry. I decided to stop by the Midwest City location a few days ago to grab some lunch. I walk in and I'm one of only three tables in the restaurant, I seat myself and start cruising the menu. A minute or two later a lady walks up to my table and stands there without saying a word. I had to assume she was my server as she was holding a pen and paper. After about 5-10 second of me waiting for her to say hi, hello, can I take your order, screw off... whatever, I finally speak up first and placed my order. A simple cheeseburger, fries, and root beer. The order came out fast and the food was delicious! .. Well, what I ate of it anyways. After a few bites of the burger and some fries my root beer went dry, no problem, the server should be by soon, especially since the place was empty. A few minutes go by and nothing, I look behind the counter and two servers were back there talking, no problem, surely one of them will look this way and make eye contact or see an empty mug sitting on the edge of the table.. Boy Was I Wrong! 5+ minutes into my dry spell my original server walks right past me and up to one of the only other tables in the restaurant, she brings them to-go boxes and cashes them out.. great, now maybe I can get some service... Nope! Walks right by me again avoiding all eye contact and back up to the counter. I took a few more bites of my burger but it was already going cold, my fries were going limp. I know what you're thinking, why don't you get up and say something? I'll tell you why, I had a new mission at the point, Mission Wait It Out.. Hey, I had some extra time on my hands and wanted to see this through. I remained sitting there, half a cold burger in front of me, empty root beer mug to the left. Now it's been 15+ minutes since the last sweet drop of root beer touched my lips, I remain calm and quiet. At one point around this time I actually started to wonder if I was invisible, I was kinda hungover, was this just a dream? Right then a new table walked in and a new server right behind, I looked at my clock, 3pm on the nose, shift change. The new table sits down, the new server joins the other two behind the counter and starts getting ready. I'm 20+ mins into my rootbeerlessness and I'm getting cotton mouth, I stay strong and push through. The new server comes out and greets the new table, gets their orders, brings out their drinks.. my original server still M.I.A. It's at this time the new server walks up and asks if I needed a refill. I politely declined and said I needed that 25 minutes ago when my food was still hot.. She apologizes and cashed me out..
