As part of our continuing journey through the Oklahoma City Burger Passport, our next stop was Just Burgers. This is a uniquely small burger joint with outdoor seating only, so just about every order is prepared to go. The upside? The prices are excellent. My wife and I both ordered The Original JB and made it a combo meal. The burgers were flavorful, and the fries, ordered extra crispy, came out exactly the way we like them. After we received our meal in a to-go bag, we headed outside to one of the picnic tables. It quickly became obvious that Just Burgers is really designed for takeout. On a pleasant spring or fall day, eating outside would be enjoyable. In the middle of an Oklahoma summer, it was less comfortable. We also experienced an unusual situation when my wife's container had an unexpected visitor--a cricket. Fortunately, the burger itself was still wrapped, so I didn't feel our food had been compromised. Rather than make a scene, I quietly spoke with the manager outside to let her know what had happened. My intent wasn't to complain or seek compensation, only to make her aware so it wouldn't happen again. Despite that incident, the burger was very good, the fries were excellent, and the staff was friendly. I'd gladly return for another burger--I'd probably just take it home next time. read more

Okay! Smashburger 10/10 would recommend they where so amazing, fresh and the condiments where really fresh and substantial!! This place for a smash burger is a 5 star!!!! However I would say that's just that, the fries were not hot when we got them, they were luck warm at best. Okay season but basically no salt what so ever. Only canned soda. We stopped in this cute burger joint after driving by it on many occasions. We finally tried it, and we loved it. The restaurant is small and the door was closed, as were the blinds, so it is a little difficult for customers to know for sure if they are open. But once inside, there was a friendly greeting waiting for us. You order at a counter, and can wait inside or outside for your order. When your buzzer goes off, you take your order to go. I got a bacon cheeseburger, and my first bite let me know, they know how to make a good burger. The patties were seasoned very well. Just delicious. The fries were not my favorite kind, but they ok. I chose to just have the JB sauce on my burger (mustard and mayo also available), and it was a nice complement to the beef. And another thing I loved was that the prices were affordable. I love supporting local businesses, especially BOB's. The customer service is always good. It was maybe a 10 minute wait on food, so it comes out fresh! I love that bacon has been added to the menu and now it's just $5 to make it a combo. The double up was too much for me. The JB is just perfect. I normally hate pickles and tomatoes on my burger but maybe because it's not from a chain they taste better. It's a small shack so nowhere to sit inside. Was driving by just before noon and noticed only one car in the lot which is really odd. Pulled in and walked in. Ordered right away. The ladies at the counter were awesome. It was a little noisy with the lady next to me speaking quite loudly so the sever had to ask a couple times. We got it figured out. Ordered the original just burger combo which comes with fries and a drink. Grabbed a pineapple Fanta. They gave a little pager and I had a seat. Several more folks came in and order. Was less than 10 mins and it went off. The lady who took my order brought me out a loyalty program card. Get it punched and when it's full u get a free combo meal. Definitely a good stop. Took about 25 minutes to get my burger, but they were cranking out big takeout orders (saw people walking out with 10-12 burgers at a time), so the wait made sense. I ordered the classic cheeseburger with grilled onions, fries, and a bottle of Coke. The burger is smashburger-style and was executed well. Flavor was solid, though I think slightly higher-quality beef would really take it to the next level. Same goes for the fries -- a different cut and cleaner oil would've made them taste fresher. Price is very fair -- about $10 for the whole meal -- so definitely a good value. Service was friendly and accommodating. The space is small with just a couple spots to sit, so it's more of a grab-and-go burger joint than a dine-in spot, but the vibe inside is cool. We made the drive from Blanchard to try this place, I had the Double up with cheese and fries. I was not disappointed in the least bit. The staff were very nice and friendly. There were outside tables to sit and eat. While we're sitting there enjoying our lunch the owner Carl stopped to chat with us. We arrived at noon and it was busy, but it was still pretty quick. I had a chocolate shake that was very good the wife had a brown sugar and cinnamon shake that tasted just like a snicker doodle! We will definitely make the journey to eat at again. read more

This place was great! I'm a big fan of simplicity. I don't need gimmicks or crazy toppings, simplicity is best IMO. When I pulled up there was a steady crowd. The line moved quickly, the staff was friendly, and after waiting maybe 5 minutes for my burger and fries, I got to bite into the best smash burger I've had in OKC. It was delicious. I ordered the Double Up with cheese (the way it comes) and a side of fries. It was perfectly balanced with none of the toppings outshining the other. Crowded on a Wednesday at lunchtime with a 30 minute wait for three burgers - well worth the wait. All the burgers were seasoned perfectly - you could smell it when you walk in (in a good way). Everything was cooked to order so it was fresh. French fries were perfectly crispy and there was a nice crunch to the burger since it was a smash burger. There's no inside seating so it's best to place your order over the phone- unless you want to eat outside where they do have picnic tables. Just Burgers is new to the OKC area and it's safe to say it is blowing customers away. The patties are incredibly seasoned, but I will say a wee bit inconsistent. My first time the burger blew my mind it was seasoned so well. Time two and three were still good but definitely lacked the flavor from my first visit. The service is kind and fast and the food is priced very well in this market. I think my total for a burger, fries, drink, oatmeal cream pie (made from scratch), and a tip was less than $20. After seeing so many comments on our neighborhood app we decided to try Just Burgers for a change from the regular places we go to. It's a small shack with no dining area, there are a couple of tables outside. We ordered & then it took 30 minutes to get our food. They gad a steady flow of customers but 30 minutes seems like a long time for a burger. The burgers are smash burgers with all the fixings. They were greasy but to be expected for that type of flat iron burger. The fries are crispy & seasoned well. The soda are cans & they weren't very cold. We're diet coke folks but they had coke zero which we don't like. The 2 ladies at the front were not friendly at all. Because of the lengthy wait, can soda situation, lack of dining area and unfriendly service I give it 3 stars. If you want a fresh smash burger that's affordable, you should give it a try. read more

You will get a great burger and they have it down. The ONLY downside is the wait. I was there waiting for a burger for 50 minutes. They were busy for sure, people coming in regularly to order at the counter and seemed there was a lot of big call in orders which I'm sure slowed down the walk in orders. It was lunch time. So maybe call in your order before you go. The menu is small so it should be easy to do. The building is small but they have several stools inside to sit on while you wait for your order and it is air conditioned well inside. There are several picnic tables out side as well. It's not a sit down at an indoor table type place so be prepared to sit outside at a picnic table or in your car if you plan to eat there. It's clean and they are just really nice people.
