The food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the ambiance is totally cool, it's pretty much an old school place to eat with an excellent menu with tons of wall art on just about anything you could imagine, I try to eat here frequently and besides IHOP they serve breakfast all hours their open, which is quite rare to me, so if you want to set down and dine, much of your time spent will be taking in the hundreds of photos that are hanging on all the walls, I do this myself and find I've missed one. I am only giving a one star because that is as low at it will let me go. I have been at all three Boomerang locations in Enid Ok and all three were horrendous. I usually don't leave a review but this is probably the worst restaurant chain I have ever had the misfortune of eating at. This morning we went to the restaurant on Randolph and Washington. Updated review for a dang good Hamburger. This is a hard review for me and I am keeping the same rating. Lunch time today about 1:30 on a Monday. We walk in and try to find a place to sit. First we try to sit seperate from others if possible. I was taken by all the dirty tables with food baskets still on. Multiple empty tables were dirty. About 5 tables were occupied. The floor was dirty with napkins or food. I don't ever remember walking into a eating place so dirty. We found a clean booth to sit at finally. I ordered Bacon cheese burger and as good as always! Fries on the side! They may grill the buns. Or something because they are good. Hubby gets the party melt that he likes. Great friendly service. Waitress did comment Mondays are busy. The whole time we were there they were continually busy with new customers coming in. Still tables all dirty. I watched them wait on each customer with friendly calmness. I wanted to jump up to help clean tables but you know, Covid! As we paid and leaving even the mat and floor in the entryway was really dirty! So my conclusion is they were working as fast as they could, giving great service , good food. But definitely need another person to help clean. May wait awhile before going back, sad. read more

We stopped here because it was close to another errand we were running on Saturday during lunchtime. I'm glad we chose this over the nearby fast food places. My burger was definitely among the best I've had in the metro area. My daughter enjoyed her food as well as the decor. Both of the staff who served us were friendly and helpful. Our order taker gave us a kids meal in a cool pink Cadillac car tray that my daughter got to take home afterwards - we hadn't seen any kids items on the tabletop menu and ordered her a regular burger and fries, but he took the initiative to change it to something a little special and fun. Have gone many times. I try different menu items and have been disappointed once and that was the fried chicken pot pie. Biscuit was dry and not enough chicken. The Chicken Fried Steak and Fried Fish dinners were good. Wife gets the old fashioned Cheese Burger. She loves the burgers. The Bacon Ranch Burger is good. Onion rings are really good. We like them extra crispy and they always come out great. All of my orders are to-go and are waited on quickly and efficiently. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Stopped in for a meal, wasn't disappointed! They had a jukebox going, it was a good atmosphere. First of all, it was very clean. There were three of us, we got an appetizer of fried mushrooms. They were good. Okay, I got fried chicken bites, it came with a salad ( chopped lettuce& tomatoes) French fries and fried bread bites (2) it was so good, basically it was mini fry bread. This came with white gravy. The other orders were old fashioned hamburger and fries, and a frito chilli pie supreme, which is a basic frito pie with lettuce and tomato added. My husband and I ate here a few months ago for the first time. We both had different opinions on the food. I'll begin by saying the interior was clean and well decorated, the music was enjoyable, and the service itself was good. These are the things we agreed on. Where we differed was our interpretation of the taste and overall value of the food we received. I got a catfish sandwich and he got a chicken friend steak sandwich. We split cheese curds as the side. My sandwich was quite generous as well as delicious. The only catfish sandwich nearby comparable would be at Off The Hook, which is a seafood place so that says a lot. My husband was disappointed in his sandwich which he said was mostly breading and barely any steak. He disliked the taste of the breading as it tasted off (maybe over cooked?) and disliked that he got next to no protein in his sandwich. He seemed quite envious of my catfish which was actually too much fish for my bun. I offered him the overflowing fish that hung over the bun, which could have help to fill him up, but by then he was so put off he didn't want to eat any more. I would rate this place a solid 4/5 but my husband would give it a 2/5 at best, so we will settle for 3/5. read more

The servers then ask if anyone had taken my drink order, I told her I was ready to order and her response was I need to get your drink and order pad. Came back, took my order and I then went to wash my hands. On returning they cleared my table and was upset that I ask for my drink. Food came out and half the order was missing, I finished hope they would bring rest of order and flatwarebut that was a dream. What a joy that the Boomerang grill has found it's way to Midwest City. When you first enter the restaurant you are greeted by a very friendly staff who are all smiles. Then you see the awesome way they decorated with pictures all over the walls with movie stars and sports figures from the past. Our booth just happened to be under the Three Stooges and Jackie Robinson. Then you hear the music from the 50's. The Boomerang Diner just makes you feel good. They are open for breakfast and lunch. We came in for breakfast and the meal consisting of eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast was perfect and inexpensive. They also have all the the other comfort foods that you would want. Just to name of few of my favorites ....Grilled Cheese, BLT's, Patty Melts, Coney Dogs, Pinto Beans and Cornbread just to name a few. Two special mentions. One for their coffee which is so delicious and always being refilled. And the customer service....This young staff running this restaurant are there trying really hard and succeeding at making your dining experience here pleasant and enjoyable. Overall the service on our first visit was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My wife ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. She said she thought it was good and enjoyed it. I ordered the patty melt. My only real complaint with the patty melt was that the onions used were red onions. I'm already not a fan of red onions, but I thought it was an odd choice for a patty melt in the first place. We also had an order of fried pickles that were really tasty. I'd be willing to come back sometime, especially on a Friday for the all you can eat fried fish. And the prices are pretty reasonable. On our way to IHOP when we saw this diner. First time here. Not many people but only seemed to have one waitress. Had to ask for a menu. When meal came had to ask for silverware. Waitress said they were washing more silverware. Pretty much ignored the entire time. Had to ask for coffee refill. For as few as people in the restaurant we waited over 20 minutes for our food. 6 out of 19 tables remained not cleaned. Only cleaned if somebody set down. Terrible to have your table cleared and cleaned while you are sitting there watching. I had 'Elvin's Breakfast. Bacon was good, but sausage patties were overcooked and hash browns were severely overcooked. I almost felt like I was eating potato chips they were so crispy! My wife had the KV burger and said it was good. Primary disappointment was the poor service. I will go to IHOP next time. read more

A step back to the 50's. Where the diner was your only choice to eat. Ordered the Ham Breakfast. Waited over 30 mins for our food. Food came cold. I suspect it took 30 mins to cook all of the moisture out of the ham. As a bonus we saw the kitchen staff joking a wrestling around while the dining room was full and ticket times were in the 30 min range. It should be a sign when the restaurant has more uploaded picture of the decor than the food. So unless you are going here for the decor, Skip it. read more

Went to lunch to the Midwest City location as me and my mother do every Monday for 1/2 price burgers. We never have issues, food and service is always good, even when busy. That all changed today, I ordered my usual burger with GRILLED onions, when my burger came it had alot of raw onions on top so let the waitress know that they were supposed to be grilled, she offers to take my basket but I figured I'd starr eating my tots while waiting on the grilled onions and asked her to bring them on the side. She goes to the back and tells ROBERT the MANAGER that they were supposed to be grilled, instead of just sending some out on the side he makes the waitress come back and take my plate to the back, she comes back with my plate and says they are on the bottom bun, which were not obviously visible and with the pile of raw onions on top I just assumed that was all the onion that was on top. The waitress asked me if I wanted her to ask him again, I let her know not to worry about anymore because him giving me a reasonable amount of grilled onions was just too much of me to ask for In the first place, I also know not to piss the person that cooks your food off. Robert, you are a tightwad and u suck at customer service nor are you willing to do what it takes to make the customer happy. Also, stop sending the sweet, fragile waitresses out to address situations that most managers would've handled themselves. I went in last night (05/11/16) at 815PM. It's unclear if you are to wait to be seated, seat yourself or go to the register and place your order. Being I have been here one other time I knew you were to seat yourself, confusing to say the least. I sat down, waited for someone to great me and take my drink order, never happened. I looked at a menu, one waitress was visiting with a guy sitting at a table not eating, another was going back and forth from the register to the kitchen, a young guy was stocking cups (making trips to and from the kitchen), after ten minutes I got up and left. This place has poor service, the food is average and the prices are high for a restaurant of this type. They advertise all you can eat catfish on Friday nights for $10+. Sara's, 2.5 miles west on the same street has all you can eat catfish every day for $8.
